You are a Fabulous Work of Art

Hello friends!
Here it is the end of July already - holy moly...
I have a card to share with you today that I made for an exchange with a friend
recently (just before I smashed my poor thumb).
This is one of those cards that you dream of and when you wake up
you just have to dash right into your craft space and put it together.
So here it is:

These are four of the hot new in-colors from Stampin Up - the
only one missing is Mellow Moss.  I just LOVE them - so rich and gorgeous.
The brush tip is one of the ornaments from a die set.
My friend Marlene really liked this card. I hope you do too :o)

I'm entering the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create -Challenge #82 Anything goes w/optional use a sentiment
Crafty Catz -Challenge #241 Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart - Challenge #29 "Anything Goes"
The Outlawz - Mondays Greetings "Anything Goes"
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #106 Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting. D

Be happy in Life! MTTC #254 "Use Kraft"

Hi friends - hope you are all doing well!
It's time for another great challenge over at My Time To Craft.
The fortnight the MTTC Challenge #254 is the "Use Kraft".
You can color on it or use it as part of your creation.
It just needs to be obvious that you've used Kraft.

Here's my DT card to share with and inspire you:
Digital stamp "Blossom" and sentiment from Your Next Stamp.

Thanks to my new sidekick, "the splint", I have to keep my card designs pretty easy.  I can't use scissors and am barely able to glue using my left hand.  Fortunately I had spent a few evenings in front of the t.v. coloring with my copics - such as this darling digital image by Your Next Stamp.  I can stamp a little with my left hand but have found that it takes me a couple tries (I'm very right hand dominate). My sentiment on this card was stamped with my left hand and is just a wee bit crooked -
but I was so excited that I actually did it without help that I decided not to redo it :o).

For the next few weeks, I do have some images that I can use to make cards - but it's going to be such a bummer to not be able to color with my copics.  Unless I can figure out how to do it using just my index and middle finger - hehe. I've gotten pretty good with a spoon and fork that way - but still can't time my own shoes. Big, Big Bummer! My advice to you is "keep your fingers out of your car door"!  Well Duh.... :o)

Anyway, enough of my moaning and groaning!

I am entering my card in the following wonderful challenges:
Your Next Stamp - July Sketch

Addicted to Stamps and More! Photo Inspiration (flowers for my inspiration)

A Freebie from Deedee's Digis - Get it by July 24th!

Hello friends and happy weekend! I hope you are all doing well.
I have a new "sidekick" in my life for the next few weeks.

Yep...it's a splint!
I slammed my thumb in my car door on Wednesday and fractured the tip of my thumb.
And OH MY GOSH did that ever hurt!! I can honestly say that there are few other times I have felt that kind of pain.  Sadly this has put a tremendous crimp on my crafting abilities (and a whole lot of other things). I'll be wearing this lovely accessory for about a month - big bummer!  But like every challenge, I'm already figuring out ways to adapt. Like wearing pull on clothes and slip on shoes (very humbling to ask someone to help you tie your shoes).  And using pre-colored digital images - like this awesome one that is part of a set that is being offered for FREE (limited time offer - see details below)
 by Deedee at Deedee's Digis

Deedee had a crazy week and was very glad it was Friday
Boy do I know how that goes :o)
So she decided to offer this great digital set for FREE - Just because!
How wonderful is that?

Here's the sweet set you can get for FREE:
"Triple Scoop" will be available to download for free at Deedee'shop
thru the end of the day Thursday, July 24.

Here's my card using the pre-colored images for my card today - take a look:
 and here's the inside

I know you're gonna want this awesome digital set, but remember it's a limited time offer so don't wait to go out and get it.  I'm going to have some ice cream tonight
to soothe my sore thumb :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today. Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

RAWR...A Monster Hello

Rawr!!
For those of you who don't know that's monster talk for "hello".
At least that's what my son used to say when he was about 3 yrs old.

Stamp and sentiment from "Silly Monsters" by Your Next Stamp

As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to have it because of my son.
He went through this phase where he would say "Rawr" as
a response to nearly everything. Then he would say
"I'm a monster"! He was a cute little monster :o).

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
ATSM #104 - CAS
Simon Says Wednesday Challenges - Spots & Dots
Penny's Paper-Crafting Challenge #186 - Anything Goes

Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting! D

Geek is Chic!

Hello friends hope you are doing well.
It was hot today! Even too hot for me to be outside for long.
I was fortunate to spend a couple hours with a friend yesterday making cards.
Since I was in the crafting mood, & in my cool crafty space I made this card -
the idea for which has been rolling around in my head for a couple days.
Take a look:
Stamp set - "Smarty Pants" by Kraftin' Kimmie

The challenge from last Saturday at Kraftin' Kimmie was "Doodling".
I must admit that doodling makes my heart pound in fear
as I am not at all comfortable with my doodling abilities :o).
But... part of why I participate in these on-line challenges is
to try new things and hopefully grow as a card crafter.
So, even though I missed the deadline for that particular challenge,
I was able to still make the deadline for the Kraftin' Kimmie
Now that I look at it, it doesn't seem so bad at all.
In fact, I kind of like my messy doodling :o) and might try it again.
That is a BIG might - but still a possibility - lol!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
Stampin Royalty Challenge #236 "Anything Goes"
Sister Act Challenge #65 - Anything Goes

Thanks so much friends for stopping by to visit me today!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

MTTC #253 - Paper Piecing

Hello friends!  So nice of you to stop by to visit me today.
A special hello to my newest follower - granmargaret :o)

It's been a busy past couple of weeks for me with not much time for crafting.
Summer is so short here - and there are lots of outside projects to do.
Plus I want to soak up as much of the sunshine and fresh air as I can :o).

This fortnight the MTTC Challenge #253 is Paper Piecing.
Here's my DT card to share with you:

No one in particular in mind for this card. I was cleaning out some baskets
of stamps to get ready to sell and came across this darling duck
and it seemed like a perfect stamp to use paper piecing with.

I really enjoyed seeing the Christmas creations in the last MTTC Challenge.
I can't wait to see what you create for MTTC #253 using Paper Piecing.
My lovely DT pals have also made some wonderful creations to share with you.
Won't you pop on over to their blogs and say "hi" too?

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Divas by Design - Things with Wings

Wasn't that the best blog singin' you ever heard? LOL.

This week we are celebrating the birthday of a lovely lady

Our sweet blogging pal Loll Thompson has organized a fun birthday hop
