Hello again friends!  Three posts from me in one day.

I haven't done that in a while - kind of a shocker!

The newest weekly challenge at

I made a super CAS card to share with you today

(another shocker as I don't usually do CAS)

using the Sweet Summer Sentiments stamps.

Ohhhh I just can't wait for the weather here to get nice

enough to pull out my flip flops and sit in the sun! 

I used my Stamp-m-jig to line up the flip flops

(there is no way I could have stamped so straight without it).

These pretty ink colors are the newest In Color collection

from Stampin' Up!  (same for the papers).

 I used this sketch to make a journal panel for a
scrapbook page using a digital papers and
a journal card from the Baby Dinos.
When my son was little he used to say
"RAWR" all the time.  I can't wait to
make a page of him with this!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge - Mermaid Friends & Oceans of Love

Happy Wednesday crafty friends and followers!

I'm not sure if I think this week is going by slowly or too fast.

 Too fast for all the crafty projects I want to get done

and too slow for the weekend to be here - LOL.

But here's the best news about today...it's time

for another fun Wonderful Wednesday challenge

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE!!  

The theme as it always is for the Wednesday challenges

is ANYTHING GOES!  Who doesn't like that right?!

You can make any type of project with any theme 

and use any stamp or crafty medium you wish.

Just have fun with it and share it with us for an

My card today uses one of the brand newest 

stamps from the beautiful MERMAID FRIENDS

and a sentiment from OCEANS OF LOVE (currently

sold out but will be back soon) - take a look:

I've been seeing the use of vellum a lot lately so I thought

I'd pull some out of my stash and play with it at bit

Those waves are actually the puffy cloud border dies from

Your Next Stamp.  I think it turned out kind of fun ;o).

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday #449 this week

(as you can see I flipped the orientation of it though)

for the layout.  I also wanted to play along with 

the current challenge at 613 Avenue Create #177

which is Anything Goes w/optional twist of  

Create your Own Challenge Series.  I used

the A2 Card type, Thinking of you as the event, and 

gold/metallic and sequins for the trends part of the challenge.

Card for a Strong Woman {Rebuild Herself - Unity Stamp Co}

Hello friends hope you are doing well.

I've been a bit behind in creating and blogging lately
due to a trip to see my son and his lovely lady in Wisconsin

and then catching up like crazy when I got back to work.

  I'm hoping this next week will be smoother and craftier  :o) 

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a co-worker who

is going through a very tough time.  

The stamp and sentiment are from a kit at Unity Stamp Co.

called "Rebuild Herself".  I used copic markers and 

used softer colors than I usually do and stamped the image

in brown instead of black ink.  I really like the way it looks. 

My co-worker loved it too and said it touched her heart.

That's what really made me happy!

Humor Me Wednesday "National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day" - Catch the Bug Challenges

Oh hello! Thanks for being here to visit me today!

It's hump day and Humor Me Wednesday
at Catch The Bug Challenges as well.

This week has lots of fun holidays that you might 

not be aware of.  For example did you know there

is a National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day?
No? Well it was Monday May 15th. 

I didn't know but I'm super excited for a reason to

celebrate this holiday because I love, love, love

chocolate chip cookies!  Really I LOVE cookies

of all kinds but I especially love chocolate chip ones! 

In fact they are my all time favorite dessert!

Kraftin' Kimmie May New Release Sneak Peeks DAY FOUR and Anything Goes Challenge

Oh hooray it's the weekend and time

for an ANYTHING GOES challenge 

as well as another sneak peek of 

the NEW May stamp sets from

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

By now I'm pretty sure that you've caught on to

the underwater and fantasy theme of this month.

So Awesome - am I right?!! 

Here's another set that I absolutely adore!
It's called "OCEANS OF LOVE" by artist Becky Pearce
it's Fin-tastic and I am in LOVE with it for sure!

There are so many sweet little images that you can put together 
and mix and match to create amazing scenes! 
Plus six kraken coordinating sentiments for a total 
of TWENTY ONE amazing stamps!

 I will be using this one for a long time!

Here's my card using this sweet set:

I used my rolling hills dies to create the waves.  The colorful

seaweed floor was created by stamping the little plant stamp

first in green then in orange and finally pink.  I did a lot of 

fussy cutting but thankfully these images were pretty easy to

do this with.  Oh hey...I just realized that I didn't use a stitch

of patterned paper on this card. That's very rare! But I was

just having so much fun stamping the bubbles and seaweed 

that I didn't even notice :o).

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May Sneak Peeks DAY THREE

Hello!  It's DAY THREE of the May

release sneak peeks for the NEW clear stamps

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

Did you think we were done with the MERMAIDS??? Nope!!
 Today we are sharing previews featuring a set that I KNOW
will make a splash! We're so excited to share the new set of fin-tastic
images by artist Emilie Goulet called MERMAID FRIENDS!

The 4x4 clear stamp set features two beautiful mermaids
with their water-ful friends PLUS five awesome sentiments!
They're such fun!

For my creation today I wanted to use watercolors 

and create what I hope looks like an underwater image

take a look and let me know what you think!

I embossed this lovely mermaid first and then 

watercolored over the entire panel with distress inks.

After it  had dried a little I washed out some of 

the color from the mermaid and fish and then added

some other colors.  As a last touch I added some

shimmer to her tail using Wink of Stella clear pen

and some Stickles glitter glue on her hair pin.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peek DAY ONE!

Oh my goodness I'm so glad that you are here because....

it's DAY ONE of the fabulous sneak peeks of May for 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

I am over the moon for this month and I think you

are gonna love it too! Especially today if you 

are partial to the SEA!!!

The theme is UNDERWATER and we are kickin' things off
with THREE FIN-tastic new designs to inspire you
from artist, Annie Rodrigue!

First there are TWO new stamp sets featuring BRAND NEW MERMAIDS!
Each stamp set has several super cute and funny coordinating sentiments!

They SHORE are beautiful and they are called 

 SERENA SPARKLES

 and TREENA TWINKLES!

Annie has also designed the perfect BACKGROUND stamp set
to go with these new mermaids and many other summer stamp sets
 OR to just use it by itself!!
 How gorgeous is this underwater scene called THE OCEAN!!?

I combined The OCEAN background stamp and the 

SERENA APARKLES stamp to create this fun card.

I wanted to make the coral and plants look like they were 

moving a bit in the water so I double stamped the image.

I used various distress ink colors for the watercolor effect. 

You can't see it very well in the photo :O( but I added 

some wink of stella on her tail and fins and face.  

It's very pretty IRL.  Sometimes I wish I was a mermaid :o)!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Monday everyone, hope you've

had a good start to your week! 

Today I'm sharing a Mother's Day card

that I made for my mom.  

I recently got some more Zig markers from Simon Says Stamp

and was dying to play with them.  So... I grabbed a stamp set

from Close to My Heart and did some stamping, heat embossing 

and coloring with them.  I love how these markers are so vibrant 

yet create such a cool watercolor effect at the same time. 

I find them pretty easy to use but I need a bit more practice 

to get the variation and depth in the colors.

Stella Says Catch #409 {Catch the Bug Challenges}

Hello sweet friends.  I have to laugh at myself

as I am typing this today.  It seems I always start

my blog posts the same way.  I think I need some 

new material but I struggle with what else I could say.

Should I say "What Up friends"?  Or maybe

"Hey how you doin'"?  Or something very off the

wall to see who's paying attention?  Hmmm...

will have to work on that for future posts. But

for now I'm very happy that you are here to visit me

so....hello sweet friends :o) !!!

Today is the start of another new Stella Says Sketch

at Catch the Bug Challenges - take a look at SSS#409

 It's a goodie I think - can be very simple

or can be very embellished. Can be flipped 

or it can be square - lots of possibilities I think.

Since I've been running around like a frazzled chicked

these past 3 or so weeks I decided to stick pretty 

true to the sketch and keep it simple.  No 

sentiment on this one so I can use it in a 

variety of ways later when I need a quick card

to send out to someone.  Here's my take on this fab sketch:

This sweet image is called BUGLBEAR (ladybug bear).

It's hard to see in this photo but I added some stickles

glitter glue to the middle of the flowers and the stem.

Fun right?!  Hope you like it!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #330 "Layers"

Hello and welcome to my blog! 

Every Saturday there's a new challenge 

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES

and this week the theme chosen by 

Krafty Girl Marilyn is "LAYERS".

Ohhhh I LOVE layers! Using layers is the 

perfect excuse to use up some of my 

patterned papers stash (so of course I can 

then buy more - bwahahaha).  

Today I've used one of the super fun

stamps and a sentiment from the newest 

release from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called 

A BIT SMART ASSY 2

Here she is (drumroll).....

She looks like she is having way too much fun to 

be exercising to me!  I certainly don't look that good :o)

Catch the Bug Challenges - Anything Goes {May 2016}

Happy Saturday to all my crafty followers!
We've got a very busy weekend planned - how about you?

Today is the start of a new month of challenges 
at CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGES!
How in the world did that last month go by so fast.
It seemed as though it was only a few sleeps 
and viola it was a new month.  

Oh well...at least we'll start seeing some beautiful flowers
in the yard and around the area.  Already the lilacs are
budding up and I can hardly wait for them to bloom!

The theme for this first Saturday of the month
is ANYTHING GOES!  Oh I know you like that one!
I do too!  For my DT creation I made this sweet baby boy
card using the adorable image called Hang in there dog

I fussed around for awhile trying to figure out where to 

put a sentiment or die cut word "baby" but finally decided

that I like it just fine without that and it's quite obviously

that its a new baby boy card.  This way it can be for a 

shower or for the actual congrats after.
