Inspirational Wednesday - Perky Penguins

Hello krafty friends! 

It's time for another Inspirational Wednesday
at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Each Wednesday one of the talented Krafty Krew DT members inspire you to get creative with your krafty stamps.

This week it's my turn to share and I've made a 

sparkly winter creation (in honor of all this

crazy snow we are getting in the states) using the

super duper adorable PERKY PENGUINS stamp set. 

If winter were as fun as this card makes it feel

I'd stop complaining about all the snow (and cold)

we are getting blasted with in Montana - LOL!

I used the SPARKLING SNOWFLAKE STENCIL with 

some BoBunny glitter paste on the background.  The glitter

paper was in my stash. I was completely surprised at

how well the paper and past matched up.  

I also used the LOVELY LAGOON hybrid

ink for the stamped snowflakes.  

Oh and guess what??? The stamp set featured in

For Someone Sweet

Hello crafty friends and followers,

very recently I made a card for a very

sweet young lady who LOVES elephants.

 

This adorable stamp is by Penny Black.  I've had

it in my stash for a long long time.  After I made

this card I decided to share the stamp with this

young lady who has recently started making

cards.  It feels so good to spread the love of

crafting and cardmaking!  

Oh and let's just for a moment notice that 

absolutely sweet elephant background paper from 

Doodlebug Design (swoon).

Donut Forget...I Love You

Happy Wednesday crafty friends and followers!

A quick post from me today with a valentine

that I made recently for my son.  Now that he's

received it I can share. He's such a sweet supporter

of his mama's crafty card making hobby and loves

to get handmade cards.  He also follows me

on all my social media accounts and I didn't 

want him to see it that way before he got it

in person.  It was kind of funny as he said

"hey, I got a card from my mama just now.

I haven't seen this one yet".  But then he

also wondered where the real donuts are - lol.

That "kid" love donuts so much it's ridiculous.

But I love him even more than he loves donuts!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #468 - Animals

Hello crafty friends, hope you are well today!

We have a new theme challenge starting today at

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS.

Challenge #468 is ANIMALS.

I made a Galentine for my Bestie using the newly
released CUDDLES THE PUPPY stamp set. 

The stenciled background is created 

w/the new PAWPRINTS STENCIL

and the Pretty in Pink and Marvellous Mocha

hybrid inks.  There's even a few of the LOVEY DOTS

(enamel dots) on there too.  I guess you could

say its a clean and layered style card.  Simple

yet sweet - don't you agree?!

Happy Valentine's Day 2019

Happy Valentine's Day friends!

Hope you are feeling loved and appreciated today.

This year the holiday really snuck up on me and

I found myself needing to make a very quick card

for my hubby today.  I grabbed a piece of shimmery

white cardstock, some brusho crystals and water

to create the base of this CAS card.  

Then I added some hearts to the panel from the 

Love Story Sentiments and Hearts and Stars

stamp sets and Wicked Black ink by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

 Total time less than 7 minutes (I heat set the 

background panel rather than wait for it to dry).

And viola - he loved it!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - NEW Release Blog Hop February 2019

Hello! You are in for a real treat today as the krafty krew

DT for KRAFTIN' KIIMMIE STAMPS has prepared some
amazing creations to showcase the NEW products of
this month that were released yesterday.  

So grab your favorite drink and maybe a snack

and hop along to your hearts content!

ALL the new products are now in the store -

including the GIMME KIMMIE set for those

of  you who are in love with the entire new release!

My card features the New SPRINKLES stencil

and DONUT WORRY stamp set.

To create the background, I used the following KKS hybrid inks -

Charming Chartreuse (NEW), Pretty in Pink, Purple Pansy and 

Purple Petunia . I stamped the donuts, the sentiments 

and the sprinkles on the donuts in Marvellous Mocha ink 

(all of these are available in regular size pads or 1" ink cubes).

The frosting on the donuts is Marvellous Mocha and 

Charming Chartreuse inks. There's even a few of the
fabulous Rainbow Dots scattered on here.     

It hardly needs the sentiment inside because it's

easy to figure out - but just in case (and for fun) 

I added it to finish the saying...Donut Worry, Be Happy!

Hello! I'm so glad you're back to visit me again.

It's the final day of the sneak peeks for the 

NEW products release for February at

Today we are sharing the last peek of the NEW stamps

of this month  - this one is called DONUT WORRY

by artist Melissa Baker Nguyen.  Such a FUN and yummy set!

There's also another ANYTHING GOES challenge

starting today (as it always is during release week).

Spring is Coming - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Hello!  I was such a busy little bee today. 
It snowed all day long and was very cold outside

so I crafted, I purged and I organized! Woo hoo!

I have been on a kick lately of using stencils for backgrounds

or scenes.  This card was made for the special celebration 

challenges this weekend in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends 

Facebook Group.  We are celebrating reaching 6,000 plus

followers and Kim's birthday with five special challenges.

Kim's favorite color is purple so that's the theme/color

for challenge #5.  I inked up some purple tinged clouds

with the Krafty Basics stencil.  Really loving how it

turned out and wishing it was spring and not still

winter here - lol!  Here's my card -

that adorable little lamb and sentiment are from

the KKS stamp set called Easter Blessings.

Baby Love - Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch Challenge

Hello friends! Happy Sunday!

I woke up this morning to a LOT of snow and

extremely cold wind/temperature - Yucky!

I knew it was coming but kind of thought 

it wouldn't be too bad.  Wrong lol! 

This chick is going to be staying home all day

crafting and snuggled up with my puppies!

Yesterday we kicked off a bunch of awesome challenges

 in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends Facebook Group

to celebrate reaching 6,000 followers and Kimmie's 

birthday.  Today I'll be catching up on a few more of 

those challenges while I'm staying in and warm.

Make Your Own Background - Kraftin' Kimmie Celebration weekend Challenge #1

Goooood Day sweet crafting friends!

This weekend we have some really fun challenges 

in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends Facebook Group

to celebrate Kimmie's birthday and reaching more than 

6,000 followers in the group! We have a series of
challenges for you to participate in. You have all
week to enter and there's prize opportunities!

The first challenge is to make your own background. 
I usually default to patterned papers (I have an embarrassingly
large amount of that stashed in my craft space), but
lately I've been having a lot of fun using stencils instead.

My first card to share with you today uses the 

HAPPY HEARTS STENCIL with the inspiring

stamp sets YOU ARE SUPER and 

HAPPY THOUGHTS (all from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps)

I started with a watercolor wash on the base

with two different colors.  After that dried 

I used some Bobunny glitter paste with the

stencil.  A little different style from my

usual but I'm really happy with how it turned out!

This second card was made using Brusho Crystals

on a watercolor paper panel (yellow, orange and red)

and again the YOU ARE SUPER stamp set.

Both of these cards are going to two amazing women

who have or are fighting against breast cancer.  I'm truly

in awe of their strength and positive attitudes.
