Sending you SNOW much love!

Hello crafty friends.  I'm back with another
card to share with you.  It's a one layer and CAS
card (gasp!) - and I love how it turned out.

The finished size is 3 1/2" x 5".

I used a new stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
called Snowflake Kisses.  I  showed you another
peek of this set early today on this blog post
if you missed seeing it. The snowflakes are stamped
in three different pinks: Berry Bliss, Pink Pizzazz and
Pretty in Pink (all from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps).
The enamel dots are also brand new and will
be available Saturday afternoon - Festive Dots

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for visiting me today! Hugs D

If you love it all there's a special GIMME KIMMIE kit

I have a one layer card with some gorgeous gold embossing
to share with you today.
I used each of the star stamps from HEARTS and STARS
(which is quickly becoming my one of my go to sets)!

I'm loving how easy it is to create one layer cards
with this set (and the new stencils)! I used my stamp
platform to get all the stars on at once and then
heat embossed them in gold.  Then I added a sentiment
from Let Your Light Shine using the KKS Wicked Black ink.

Here's another look that shows the gold embossing better.
Isn't it awesome how well these sentiments coordinate with this new set?!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

They blend so beautifully and work with all coloring mediums!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January 2019 NEW Release DAY TWO - Beary Love

Welcome back for DAY TWO of the sneak peeks
for the fantastic NEW RELEASE at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.
Today is all about some sweet cuddly love with
this new clear stamp set called BEARY LOVE by
artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen! And....we also
have some other new goodies you might notice!

I created a one layer Valentine card to share with you today.
Those pretty pink hearts are made with the brand spanking NEW
(and absolutely wonderful) HAPPY HEARTS STENCIL for the background
panel.  I stamped the sweet little bear with KKS wicked black
hybrid ink (so perfect for all coloring mediums and it's available
in both a regular ink pad and a mini cube) and then masked around
it with a die cut circle before I inked up the background. That beautiful
color of the hearts is from the NEW KKS "PRETTY IN PINK" hybrid ink.
I finished the card by coloring the image with copic markers.
A very quick and fun card! Stencils are so awesome to create with!
Oh and did you notice those pretty enamel dots?!
These are also NEW to KKS - EEEeeeee!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
(mine is Valentine's Day)
(I was inspired by all that wonderful PINK in the photo
and my style is CAS)
(I used lots of new: stamp set, heart stencil, and ink)

Here's what the rest of the adorable stamp set looks like.
FOUR adorable cuddly bears - oh my!!!

Stenciled Background Sympathy Cards

Hello sweet friends,
I'm sharing a couple sympathy cards I made yesterday
using a beautiful and versatile new stencil called Sweater Weather
from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I also used the hybrid inks from
Kraftin' Kimmie - Bubbly Blue (brand new) for the background,
Purple Petunia for the setiment, and Purple Pansy for the
floral image on the second card.  I love these new inks.

Here's the first card.  I sponged a little "heavier"
on the stencil to get a deeper background color.

For this card, I wanted the background to be very subtle
so I sponged very lightly through the stencil.
The sentiment on both of these cards is a retired
rubber stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie.
The flower image on the second card is from Stampin' Up.

I tend to only make sympathy cards as I need to send them out.
Making sympathy cards seems to be such a struggle for me. The reason
for them makes me so sad, and yet I know that they are probably
some of the most appreciated cards that I send out. Do you
struggle with making these as well?

I was seeking inspiration to help me make these cards and found the
following card challenge themes to help me

Big crafty hugs to each of you! D

12 Krafty Days of Khristmas - Day TWO (30% off on February 2017 release stamps)

Good happy Saturday friends!
I'm happy you're here to visit me because today
is DAY TWO of the 12 Krafty Days of Khristmas

Each day from the 1st through the 12th the Krafty DT
is showcasing a creation from one of the new releases
of each month of 2017 by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.
PLUS each and every day during the 12 Days the stamp sets
that we released during that particular month will
be ON SALE but ONLY for that day!

DAY TWO represents the  month of February 2017
where we released ALL ABOARDSKY'S THE LIMIT,
SPORTY BOYS and YOU'RE MY HERO.
Such a great month of masculine stamps!

I chose to feature SPORTY BOYS today and
put a Christmas twist on it - take a look!
I had a little help from a couple other stamp sets
Merry and Bright Birdies (embossed snowflakes)
and Shake It Up! ("Christmas").  To create the
sentiment I masked off part of two different ones
and then embossed one and then the other.
The main image was stamped on a kraft card blank
in a very light brown memento ink and
then colored with Prisma color pencils.
Oh boy this card should go in the record books
for me.  I can count on one hand the number of
times I make a completely one layer card!!
I really love how it turned out. The distress inks
and embossing really helped add some depth to it.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks Challenges #379 (4CC379) - Anything Goes
Fab n' Funky Challenges #373 - Christmas
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes (11.28.17)

Here are a few of the cards I made previously with

52CCT - October Recipe Challenge - One Layer Card

Hello friends!
Time for another challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown (52CCT)
Our challenge this week has three little words that strike fear in my crafter's heart
ONE LAYER CARD.
Oh boy...I must admit that this is my least favorite type of card to make.
But there's a reason we call it a challenge - to push our creative styles
and sometimes the challenges are harder for me than they seem to be for you.

So...enough whining...I rose to the challenge and this is what I made.

I stamped with three different blues starting with the
lightest and working my way to darkest.
Kind of reminds me of a blizzard - LOL.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Sister Act #79 - Anything Goes

I hope that you will decide to join us this week at 52CCT
and share your One Layer Christmas Cards with us.
My teamies at 52CCT have made some amazing
one layer cards to share with you.  Please go check them out!

Til next time...hugs and merry crafting! D

Playing Cupid - PP179 (One Layer Valentine), ATCAS "New" and My Time to Craft Challenge #231

Hello.  Valentine's day is generally not my favorite holiday (but I do love the colors and heart shapes). I tend to go more with funny rather than serious or mushy valentine's cards.

The Paper Players Challenge #179 is to make a one-layer valentine.
I had recently purchased this funny digital image (Bugaboo) so what perfect timing for me.  One-layer cards are generally not my fort'e but I thought I'd give it a go just the same. Take a look:
I'm actually quite happy with how this turned out.  I LOVE that bright pink (it's one of my favorite colors) and check out that bright blue eye shadow on Stella - very classy (and actually very trendy again).  I thought about giving this card to my husband (something for him to look forward to in future years - LOL) but then decided that it will be a good card to send my Grandma.  This totally fits her sense of humor and I'm sure she'll get a good chuckle out of it. Kind of reminds me of her in her heyday - especially the hair ;o)

I am also entering my card in these other challenges:
Addicted to CAS - "New".
My "new" is the digital image and the tiny pink hearts from a new SU set.
My Time to Craft Challenge #231 -  All about the LOVE

So that's it for me tonight.  I need to get to bed earlier (stayed up way, way too late last night crafting). Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me today.  Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

52CCT - November Recipe Challenge #23

Hello dear friends and followers!  Have you been enjoying Louise's November challenges as much as I have?  I must say that she has pushed me outside of my comfort zone a time or two with her awesome ideas and challenges - and I have really had fun with it.  When I saw the 52CCT Recipe Challenge #23 I let out a HUGE groan... One layer? Only a hint of color? Oh My!  Just didn't know if I can do it. One layer alone strikes fear in my heart - LOL.  But look what I did:

By Jove I did it!! I'm so proud of myself!

This is my newest stamp set from Freshly Squeezed Stamps - I just love it!  I stamped the jar first and put just the slightest shading around the image with a copic marker (C02). Then I stamped two layers of the candy inside the jar using Primrose Petal and then Gumball Green - how perfect is that ink name for this image?(Stampin Up!).  It worked really nicely with the clear stamps, didn't even need to use my Stamp-M-Jig for the inside.  I did use my Stamp-M-Jig for the sentiment though because I was so excited about how my candy jar turned out that I didn't want to risk a crooked or sloped sentiment.  My bling (Close to My Heart) looks some of the gumballs have escaped the jar, don't you agree?   This is on Whisper White cardstock, but my photo is a bit dark (bummer).

Please go visit the other lovely ladies over at 52CCT and see what they have made for your inspiration using 52CCT Recipe Challenge #23.  I hope that you will decide to join us and share your fabulous One-Layer card.

You'll be seeing another card early next week from me using this same set - so stay tuned :o)  Til next time friends.... hugs and happy crafting! D

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #48 {Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Perfect Plum}

Hello all - hope you are doing well this first week of June!  It has been raining, raining, raining here off and on for days and for once I'm not complaining.  When I look out my window and see all the green, and the splendor of the trees and lilacs in bloom, I realize how thankful I am for the rain right now - it makes things so gorgeous!  I think our color challenge this week at ATS&M is very appropriate for spring and summer themed cards.  Taking my inspiration from the beautiful flowers I am seeing cropping up all over this is the card I've made to share with you:
I've done a couple unusual things for me - I made a one layer card (gasp!) that I really love (double gasp!!) and I used a two-step stamp set.  Quite pleased with how this turned out - :o).  Hope you like it too!  To see the beautiful work of the rest of the ATS&M design team members and say "Hello" to our new teamie Monika all you have to do is click here

We have been blown away with the fabulous entries that have shown up in our gallery the past couple of weeks - thank you for supporting our challenge.  Hope you will have time to play along with us this week.  I can't wait to see what you create with these fabulous colors!  Til next time...hugs and happy crafting.

Less is More - One Layer "Feathers" and ATS "Cards for Boys"

In a continual effort to challenge myself with the CAS style of cards,  I wanted to play along with the the challenge at Less is More Week #80 to make a One Layer card with a theme of Fur or Feathers.  By Jove - I think I've finally done it!  I think I've finally created a One-Layer CAS card, and one that I actually like :o)  I tried the masking technique (another technique that I want to get better at) so I stamped the hat first - and then put my mask over it so I could stamp the bird.  My hat mask slipped a little when I stamped the bird (note to self - next time use dotto to hold the mask down) and it covered a teeny bit of the rim of the birthday hat - so I stamped it one more time separately and snipped out just the rim of the birthday hat and glued it on top of the stamped one. I didn't expect it to go perfectly the first time but it was darn close and I was very pleased - whoo hoo :o)

I am also entering this card in the ATS Theme Challenge #2 - Cards for Boys.   I have a brother-in-law who is having a birthday next week. I know he will appreciate this card as he is a silly kind of guy who is always joking around and using puns.  I think I was in a silly mood when I created this card :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!  I hope you enjoyed today's One Layer CAS card.

Details and Supplies (all from Stampin Up!):  Cardstock base - Whisper White.  I used my SU Color Coach to come up with this creative combo of Midnight Muse (NEW), More Mustard and Rich Razzleberry.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute - I used SU markers to color the words separately and only colored "day" in the word birthday to put next to the bird.  The bird and his party hat are from the stamp set called Papaya Collage.

CAS - One Layer Card for 4 Great Challenges {Tumbling Cupcakes}

Hello friends, the theme this week at many of the challenges I'm playing along with is Clean and Simple (CAS).  I've mentioned before that this is not an easy style for me and that is precisely why I am yet again entering in some of these challenges - to help myself grow creatively.  I made this card for 4 great challenges - three of which I am participating in for the first time.

The first is Less Is More Week 76 - One Layer Challenge which is to make a one-layer card using 3 of something on your card. A One-layer card is defined as:  "One piece of card folded in half with no additional layers and minimal embellishments, where the image is stamped or printed directly onto the cardstock".   My 3's are 3 cupcakes, 3 frames, and 3 words - oh and I used 3 rhinestones on each cupcake :o).

The second challenge CAS-ology Week#2 (a new challenge centered around the CAS concept using a word or words to spark creativity).  The word for CAS-ology #2 is "Happy".  I'm pretty sure you have already figured out how I have met this challenge - LOL.  What is happier than cupcakes and birthdays?
And the third "new to me" challenge is Clean and Simple Stamping.  The design for my card is based on the CAS FTL #199 (see below) which I have used a tumbling line of three elements instead of in a straight row.
The fourth challenge is a familar favorite called Dynamic Duos which has a subtles theme for this week.  The color combo for Dynamic Duos#11 is  Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze.  I saw this darling baby quilt set yesterday that had cupcakes on it in these very same colors - it was so cute and  inspiration struck!
Here's a few more photos of this card:  first a close up of those sparkly cupcakes -
And then the inside (Those circles are on there because I accidentally put an inky finger down and made a smudge that I had to disquise - thus the circles) -
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad that you did!  Hugs!

Supplies (all from Stampin Up - except frame stamp): Cardstock - Whisper White. Classic ink - Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede (neutral).  Stamps - Create a Cupcake, Fabulous Phrases (happy).  Frame stamp is from Verve in the set called To the Moon.
