Best of Cluck - SugarPea Designs Mix it Up Challenge #27

Happy Monday sweet friends!
I'm back again to share a second card
This card was made using the super sweet
Best of Cluck stamp set (and coordinating dies).
I knew as soon as I saw this set that I had
to have it!  But it has been sitting in my
"waiting to be inked" stash (very sad) for several
months until now.  I also had these really
pretty papers from the
Countryside Charm Patterned Paper Collection
in my stash as well.  I'm so excited to have
made this card and to have checked two items off
my crafty New Year's resolution :o)
and here's the inside too
Oh my gosh...doesn't that broken egg just
crack you up (pun intended)?!

I am entering this card in these challenges as well:

My design layout was from MOJO Monday #479

"It's Your Birthday..." SugarPea Designs - Rice, Rice, Baby

Hello sweet friends!
I found some myself with the luxury of
having some "just for fun" extra crafting time
over the weekend so I pulled out a few of
my "yet to be inked stamps" and had a blast
creating with them.

Do you make New Year's resolutions?
I don't usually make them - mostly because it seems
that I inevitably fail in keeping them lol.  BUT....
this year I did make 3 crafty resolutions
1) use more of my "yet to be inked" stamps
2) use up more of my designer paper stash
before purchasing more (this one is going to
be the most difficult because I think I
truly have an obsession with patterned papers)
3) get a couple of my cards published  and...
hopefully 4) be awarded a guest designer spot for a
couple of stamp companies or blogs that I really like.

I'm super happy about this card because it fills two of
my New Year's crafty resolutions - using an inked
stamp set called Rice Rice Baby from SugarPea Designs
and some of my designer paper from my stash.
I colored this with my copic markers.
here's the inside too

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Super Teacher {SugarPea Designs}

Hello friends and followers!
A special hello to my two newest followers -
thanks so much for joining my creative journey.

Today I'm sharing a card I made for one of my
daughter's favorite teachers - Mr. Straub.
The stamp sets I used are from SugarPea Designs - main image
& part of the sentiment "You're a SUPER" (my hero)
and Your Next Stamp - "Teacher" sentiment (A'dork"able).
The papers are from Doodlebug Designs and the little glasses
are from my local craft store.  I used a die cute for the
double banner and colored the main image with copic markers.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Super Dad - Father's Day {SugarPea Designs}

Hello friends!  Happy Father's Day weekend.
We celebrated with a BBQ and ice cream
with my Dad, husband and brother in law today.
It was a wonderful summery evening
and the food was good!

Here's a photo of one of my sisters and I
with my sweet Daddy-O
(my other sweet sister is in Oregon).
Isn't he cute?!
He really is my Super hero - always has been.
We didn't have the easiest relationship when
I was young.  Let's just say I was a little
bit headstrong and maybe a bit too much like him :o)
He told me once that he always knew what I was
up to because "he was me once".
As I've gotten older and had kids of my own
I've come to appreciate him so much more.
He is an honest, kind and loving man.
I do hope I'm a lot like him!

I made this card for my dear Daddy
using a stamp set by SugarPea Designs
called "my hero" which is perfect for him.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

King of the Crib - Your Next Stamp Sketch Challenge #22

Hello friends! Things have been a bit quiet on my blog
this past week.  I thought once school started things would
kind of slow down again but things have gotten a bit crazier
and busier instead.  Hmmm...what's up with that?

I did find time to make a special request card for a
new baby boy that is on his way soon.   Take a look:

The nursery is decorated in a jungle theme.
I used the super sweet stamp set from Your Next Stamp
called "King of the Crib, a fun die cut set from SugarPea Designs
called "Baby Diaper Pin", some ribbon from my stash and some super
adorable Doodlebug Patterned Papers - Baby Boy.

It's a bit difficult to see in the photo but I double layered the lion's head
(stamped it twice and fussy cut around one of them) and popped it up
with glue dots for extra dimension.  It's way cute IRL!
Here's the inside too:

My Time to Craft Challenge #299 - Paper Piecing

Hello again friends!
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far!
I'm back again with another DT card to share with you
for the newest challenge at MY TIME TO CRAFT.
But before I get to that I wanted to tell you that we are
going to a fortnightly (every 2 weeks) schedule
for the next couple of months.

Summer time is short (at least here in Montana it is)
and peeps have lots going on, so we thought it would be
a good idea to switch things up a bit for the summer and
give us all a chance to enjoy the season a bit more.

So for the next two weeks the theme for MTTC #299
is PAPER PIECING!  So get out your stamps and those
little scissors and get to cutting and pasting :o)

Here's my card using a super sweet stamp set called
"Twinkle Twinkle" by Sugar Pea Designs

I paper pieced the comforter, the girl's pjs and the curtains.
I first colored the parts that wouldn't be paper pieced
(let's just say that I have learned that lesson the hard way
in the past - hehehe).  Then added the extra parts I had stamped
onto scraps of designer papers by Doodlebug and Stampin Up.

This card is going to my precious daughter.  She's a bit
old for it (15 now) but I still think it will make her say "AWWWW".
She will always be my baby - no matter how old she gets :o).

I used the current sketch - Sugar Sketch Challenge #27
(w/a bit of my own spin)
to make this card so am entering it in that challenge.
SPDSS27

I'm also entering it in these challenges as well:
The Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenges - Anything Goes (6/29/15)
Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog  Challenge #151 - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant Challenges #305 - Anything Goes

The rest of the lovely ladies at MTTC have also made
some wonderful creations to share with you as well.
Please go visit them and say "hi"!

I hope that you will decide to play along with us for
MTTC299 - Paper Piecing!  You have until July 17th to enter.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D
