Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #48 {Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Perfect Plum}

Hello all - hope you are doing well this first week of June!  It has been raining, raining, raining here off and on for days and for once I'm not complaining.  When I look out my window and see all the green, and the splendor of the trees and lilacs in bloom, I realize how thankful I am for the rain right now - it makes things so gorgeous!  I think our color challenge this week at ATS&M is very appropriate for spring and summer themed cards.  Taking my inspiration from the beautiful flowers I am seeing cropping up all over this is the card I've made to share with you:
I've done a couple unusual things for me - I made a one layer card (gasp!) that I really love (double gasp!!) and I used a two-step stamp set.  Quite pleased with how this turned out - :o).  Hope you like it too!  To see the beautiful work of the rest of the ATS&M design team members and say "Hello" to our new teamie Monika all you have to do is click here

We have been blown away with the fabulous entries that have shown up in our gallery the past couple of weeks - thank you for supporting our challenge.  Hope you will have time to play along with us this week.  I can't wait to see what you create with these fabulous colors!  Til next time...hugs and happy crafting.

  4. Hi Danielle. Love your one-layer card. It has such a Spring/Summer feel to it. I'll send you some virtual sunshine, got plenty of it here in the UK at last. Sure no one will mind sharing with you. Have a lovely day! xxx

  5. Your card is so beautiful, Danielle! Great one layer card. I really adore the stamps, I wish I could get hold of them here in Finland somehow! Do you know if it's possible to get those from some web shop without 1 million dollar's post expense? :)

    1. Hi Nonni - would have to find a used set to buy now as its a retired set (so sorry). I bet you would do some fabulous things with a set like this. Is it super expensive to ship a package to Finland?

    2. Hi Danielle, what a pity it's a retired set, it's really lovely! I'm sorry for the delay in replying your question, I've been visiting friends in Helsinki for 5 days. :) The problem in shopping in internet craft shops that locate overseas is the customs -you are only allowed to order a package that values under 50 dollars (with the postage included) -if you go over that sum you end up paying a lot of taxes and other expenses. But when private persons send mail to each other, I don't think it can be super expensive: Finland is in Europe so it must the same fees than in sending to what ever location in Europe and I'm sure the cost depends on the weight of the package. When I was sending Valentine's cards to you ATSM friends it was not expensive at all, just a bit over a dollar or something. Hugs!

  9. This is the perfect stamp set for the colors! It was one of my favorites, especially for two-step stamping. Great one layer card! They are hard to do, I think!

  10. I know exactly what you mean - I dread making those one layers and I'm rarely happy with the result! So congratulations on making a one layer that you're happy with - and you should be too, 'cause it looks fantastic, with the lovely colors and the whimsical look of the flowers! I'm impressed:)
