I chose the cute critters theme because there are so many adorable ones to choose from at Kraftin’ Kimmie for this theme!

I created my card using the “things that hop” prompt.

I began with the wonderful

new LAYERS OF EGGS

Stencil with Blue Bay ink

on the base layer of the stencil and Purple Pansy over the top of the second layer (the layer that decorates the eggs). 

The star of the card is a sweet bunny from the

FAWN’D OF YOU!

stamp set,  

and the sentiment is 

from the New Beginnings 

stamp set.

I love how KKS products are so easy and fun to mix and match!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps February NEW Release Hop and Shop!

Today I'm sharing another card

using the New Beginnings stamp set.

The background panel was made

by first sponging some Distress Oxide ink

on a panel and then using some Solar 

Paste (Golden Hour) over the top of

the Krafty Kaleidoscope stencil.

Isn't it pretty?! I wish you could 

see it in real life! 

I colored this sweet bunny and

the egg with copic markers and 

then added some glitter and Nuvo drops.

We've also got a new Krafty Stencil for this month's release to help add some funky fun to your creations!  

It is called....
Layers of Eggs!

(a 2 piece layering stencil!)

It's perfect for all your cards, scrapbook pages, mixed media and more!

Oh my GOSH this stencil and stamp set just couldn’t be any more perfect together!!

I had some inky fun with the first layer of the stencil and then pulled out some of my lonely (aka haven’t been used in far too long) crafty pastes to use on the top layer of the egg decorations. I went for lots of color because I’ve always loved the bright colored Easter eggs. In fact the more colorful the better for me! 

To finish my mini slimline card, I added one of my favorite die cuts and colored up these three images from the stamp set and added two of the sentiments on the front. 

I LOVE how it turned out!

Easter Shaker Card

 Happy Easter to you! 

I hope you are getting to spend the day

with family and/or friends! 

I busted a move yesterday and 

made many Easter cards. 

I had intended to get them

made and sent earlier in the 

week but was dealing with an 

eye infection that made that

too difficult to do. So, the cards 

will be late but I hope they will

still bring joy to receive in the mail. 

This is a shaker card I made 

using a stencil, inks and a chick 

die from Simon Says Stamp. 

The shaker bits are from Stamp Anniething. 

The die frame and sentiment strip

are from Taylored Expressions.

Interactive Easter Card

 Hello friends! Happy Easter! 

Yesterday I made a shaker card using one

of the Waffle Flower card front shaker panels. 

These are super easy to use. I learned though 

that you don’t need to leave extra space around 

the edges. It seemed as if it might be too tight

but it’s perfect if you don’t use thick 

shaker elements. I left a bit too much room 

and found that some of my shaker bits 

flip on their side and get stuck in the panel. 

A good knock on the edge generally 

Gets it to move away but if I had just 

put it down tighter it would be better. 

Anyhoo… I would definitely use these 

again abs I love how this turned out. 

The shaker bits are from Stamp Anniething. 

The background panel was created with a stencil 

by Taylored Expressions (I also used 

the TE inks). I heat embossed the 

sentiment strip (also from TE). And 

added a layered die sentiment to

the front panel. It’s a lot of fun but

I’ll definitely have to send it as 

a package because it’s thick. 

I put a ton of shaker bits in there!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #473 - Use Sequins

Hello friends!  Happy weekend!  

Hope you have some fun plans - or maybe some great relaxing ahead.

This week the theme challenge for

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES #473 is SEQUINS.

I must admit that this was really a challenge for me.

Even though I ooh and ahh when I see people using sequins

on (or in) their creations, I really struggle with them.

I don't know how to place them and it really kind of

bugs me how they stick to my finger and don't go where I

want them to easily.  LOL real problems right?!  

Anyway...because I wanted another opportunity to create with the 

NEW Fawn'd of You stamp set (by artist Cheryl Grant)

I decided to accept this challenge.   I'm quite pleased with

how it turned out!  Take a look:

Easter is coming up soon and this set is so

perfect for that or just a general spring "hello"

card for someone you love.  I had this die cut panel

in my stash (from forever ago) that worked so

pretty over the top of a piece of yellow gingham 

patterned paper.  Lots of layers but still a fairly 

clean design. And what a fun sentiment too!

I'm trying to get more comfortable with them and

I find that I do better with smaller images still. 

Once again I used the March KKS Sketch for

the layout.  I love using sketches for inspiration. Do you?

This could be an Easter card or just a springy "hello" card.

I just loved inking up this set - especially the lovely girl
with her rain boots and beautiful flowing hair!

My layout is based on the March KKS Sketch

I added a couple of the NEW SPRINGY ENAMEL DOTS

(oh my goodness I love enamel dots!).  

I didn't add a sentiment on the front so that I have 

options for how I want to use this card.  

This could be a "Thinking of You", "Happy Easter"

"Here Comes Spring" or even "Happy Birthday" card.

Spring is Coming - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Hello!  I was such a busy little bee today. 
It snowed all day long and was very cold outside

so I crafted, I purged and I organized! Woo hoo!

I have been on a kick lately of using stencils for backgrounds

or scenes.  This card was made for the special celebration 

challenges this weekend in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends 

Facebook Group.  We are celebrating reaching 6,000 plus

followers and Kim's birthday with five special challenges.

Kim's favorite color is purple so that's the theme/color

for challenge #5.  I inked up some purple tinged clouds

with the Krafty Basics stencil.  Really loving how it

turned out and wishing it was spring and not still

winter here - lol!  Here's my card -

that adorable little lamb and sentiment are from

the KKS stamp set called Easter Blessings.
