Hey it's Friday - hooray! It's supposed to be a nice weekend here and there are leaves starting to bud on all my trees - that makes me happy :o) Today I am entering this card in two fun challenges - The Paper Players Challenge #91 and Freshly Made Sketches #31 - a sketch by Rita. The challenge this week from Jaydee at the Paper Players is to create a clean and simple card using watercoloring. I used my blender pen and some ink droplets to "paint" my tree image on this card. I added some watercolored swirls for clouds too. Then I used the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches to put my card together. As you can see I flipped the sketch and used a square instead of a circle for my card. The result was a fairly quick and fun card to make. Thanks for the opportunity to play! Hope you enjoyed today's card. Thanks so much for stopping by to visit - I'm sure glad you did.
Supplies (all from Stampin Up): Cardstock - Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Real Red. Stamp - from Easy Events. Patterned Paper - Twitterpated (available in the Occassions Mini until April 30th). Ribbon - 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade. I made the small heart at the bottom with my small heart punch and tied it on with a piece of the linen thread. The image is colored with my blender pens and Lucky Limeade, Certainly Celery, Real Red, Pool Party and Crumb Cake inks.
Oh, this is so sweet! Love this little tree! Thanks for playing with us with your watercolored creation at the Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteDanielle, what a perfect card for the start of spring. I love your drawn clouds they add so much dimension to the focal image. So glad you joined the Paper Players again this week
