Hello friends - happy middle of the week to you! The challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps and More! is "Make Your Mark - Challenge #5". This is one of my favorite challenges at ATS&M because I get to color - its like being a kid again. I'm also entering this card in the Lollipop Crafts Challenge #95 which is to make a Christmas or other holiday card. My card today uses a Mo Manning image - isn't it darling?? I am now practicing the fabric folds and lighting sources with my copic markers - oh and shading. I love how their little faces turned out :o) here's a close up of my card:
I kept my layering to a minimum so that the image would take center stage. I used a texture folder to create the oval embossing and then added the sentiment with another punched oval layer. The DSP I used is called Spice Cake and I like how it almost looks like the fabric that one of these little cuties might be wearing. I hope that you will decide to join us this week at Addicted to Stamps and More! Pull out those markers and start coloring - I can't wait to see what you create! It can be of any theme - I chose Christmas because I'm very much in the mode right now for that (was listening to Christmas music while I made this card). The other ladies on the DT at ATS&M have also come up with some fabulous inspiration for you - go visit them too, you will be wowed, I'm sure of it :o)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Til next time - Hugs and Happy Crafting!!
Danielle, you've done great job with coloring, the image looks really beautiful. Also very clever what you've done with your embossing folder -the oval looks great partially on white, partially on green.
ReplyDeleteLove your carol singers Danielle, so beautifully coloured! The embossed oval is gorgeous:)

Danielle ... that is an adorable image!! I love your coloring ... so fabulous. I'm just learning to use copics, so am learning lots from you! I love how the embossed oval is over the two colors - what a fabulous and unique design! Great finishing with the oval joy with the polka-dot framing.
ReplyDeleteDanielle, I love everything about this card. Your colouring is superb and I love that textured embossing you have done over both colours. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies - I have to admit that the embossing across both colors was a bit of an oops - but I just went with it. Sometimes the best ideas are a result of an accident - lol :o)
ReplyDeleteLovely card Danielle, beautiful colouring and gorgeous colours too - Jacqueline xx
ReplyDeleteDanielle this is such a pretty card and the stamp is so lovely. Your colouring is beautiful and I love the embossed oval. Maybe if I play a little Christmas music I may too feel inspired !
