MTTC #256 - Food and/or Drink

Hello fellow crafty friends - hope each and every one of you are doing well.
It's been a crazy couple weeks for me with little time to craft.
(I hate it when that happens -lol).
I'm now 5 weeks into wearing the splint on my thumb.
I've learned to adapt with so many things but still
can't fully craft the way I'd like to.
The good news is that I'm only have about a week to go.
I can't wait!

So... It's time for another challenge at My Time to Craft - whoot whoo!
This fortnight's challenge is to show food and/or drink on your creation.
Here's my card to share with you:

I was really scratching my head on this one, but then remembered that
I had this darling mushroom already cut out and on my
craft desk from a previous project. Whew!

Now there are some (like my darling daughter)
who would say that mushrooms don't qualify as food
(She hates them!). However, I would wholeheartedly disagree.
I must admit though that I've never seen one so cute - hehehe.
I hope that you will decide to join us this time for
MTTC #256.  My lovely DT pals have made some
delicious creations for your inspiration as we'll.
please go visit them and say "hi".
Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting.

52CCT August Stash Challenge

Hello friends!
Time for another weekly challenge at 52CCT.
This week our hostess, Gill, would like to see
glitter and glimmer on your Christmas cards.

Here's my DT card to inspire you:

I had this stamped panel on my desk so
I grabbed a piece of my red glitter paper to mat it
and then added a couple stars that I also had in my stash.
Viola! Isn't it amazing how quickly just a bit of
glitter changes a plain card to a wow card?

My lovely DT pals at 52CCT have also made
some gorgeous Christmas cards for your inspiration.
I hope you will decide to join us this week.
I can't wait to visit and see what you make!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting!

52CCT - August 2014 Theme Challenge

Hello friends!
A special hello to my newest follower Birdie - welcome aboard :o)

Time for another weekly challenge at 52CCT.
This week our hostess Gill has chose the theme of
Mistletoe and Wine in honor of her mom.

We would like you to make a card with mistletoe and wine as your theme,
be it images, colours, embellishments and more, it's up to you!

Here's my card to inspire you:

I apologize for the dark photo -just couldn't seem to get a good one this time.

I had these extra leaves in my stash, which was great since I still
can't do much stamping with my left hand.
I loved the way the skewed panel looked when I made this, but now
it looks to me like I had too much wine before I finished my card - LOL.

I hope that you will go to the 52CCT Challenge site and see what
the rest of my lovely DT pals have made this week to inspire you.
And then I hope you will decide to join us too :o)

Thanks so much for visiting me today - I'm sure glad you did.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting!

So Sweet of You - MTTC#255 Hair

Hello friends and happy weekend!
This fortnight we have a fun challenge for you at My Time to Craft -
for MTTC#255 we want to see unusual colored hair - pink, green, orange, blue
Here's my DT card using this fun theme - hope you like it:
Digital image from The Stampin Chef - Alyce the Copic Fairy

This card is made with lots of extras I had on craft desk already -
the scalloped circle die cut, embossed panel, sentiment
and  the self adhesive flowers from my stash.
This wonderful image I had also colored up a while ago
so for once (or a few times) in my life I was ahead instead of behind
(one of the definite perks of knowing ahead of time what the theme will be :o)).

I hope you will decide to join us this next two weeks for
MTTC Challenge #255- unusual colored hair.
The other lovely and talented ladies on the DT have made some
stunning creations to share with you as well.
Go check it out and say hi while you're there, won't you?

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

52CCT August Color Challenge

Hello friends, hope each of you are doing well!

This week at 52CCT our hostess Gill has chosen a very elegant
color combo for us to use.

Here's my DT card for this week:

I'm still wearing the splint on my thumb and searching for creative ways
to continue crafting and keep up with my DT responsibilities til it comes off.
Fortunately for me I had these die cut ornaments and punches snowflakes
in my stash pile just waiting for me to use.

I stamped my sentiment in the middle of a larger piece of ivory cardstock
and then embossed it.  I wanted to have lots of room around it to
cut it down as I'm doing what little stamping I can do with my left hand
and it usually is crooked :o)

The rest of my lovely 52CCT DT pals have made some
gorgeous Christmas creations with Gill's color combo.
Please go visit them and say "hi" and then link up your
own fabulous creation to share with us.

Thanks so much for visiting me today.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Life is Just a Barrel of Bananas - Deedee's Digi of the Month August 2014

Hello crafty friends and followers :o)
It's time for another monthly challenge at Deedee's Digis
and the August Digi of the Month is this fun set.

Here's  my DT card to share with and inspire you:
Digital image from Deedee's Digis "Monkey Business"

Once again I used one of the pre-colored images for my card
and layered it on top of one of the digital papers from the set.
My life has been a bit bananas lately so I can really identify with this sentiment.
The good news is that I'm learning to take life less seriously and laugh at
myself, as well as embrace the life's surprises that randomly pop up
when least expected (like fracturing my thumb).
For example, I took a chunk out of a couple of my fingernails yesterday
while trying to cut with a knife balanced between my index and middle finger.
Thankfully my nail prevented me from cutting my finger - yikes!
But since I couldn't use the nail clippers at all, or the nail file very well
I decided to treat myself and 9 of my fingers to a manicure - LOL :o).

If you participated last month in Deedee's July Digi of the Month Challenge
you should have received this set for free to use this month.

If you are just joining us and want to get started, this is an awesome month to do so
as Deedee has a wonderful surprise for you. The entire Digi of the Month set
can be purchased in Deedee's Shop for the very awesome price of $1.25.
But this month, you can get one of the images from the set for FREE
and we will have weekly challenges this whole month that you can participate
in for the opportunity to win more free digis.
Check out the details on Deedee's blog.

I hope to see your lovely creations on the challenge site.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Happy Blooming Birthday

Hello friends - so nice of you to stop by to visit me today!
Here in Montana we are in the heat of summer - it was a toasty 92 degrees today.
We celebrated my sweet niece's 21st birthday in the park.
Thank goodness for a light breeze now and then - or I just might have melted.

Here's the card I made for her:
Digital image by Lacy Sunshine Flowerpot Pretty "Sunny"

I had colored this darling image a while back but didn't get a chance to
finish a card until now. Thank goodness the image was already
completed as it took me a very long time to get the rest of the card together
thanks to only having one thumb to use.  My Big Shot, dies and punches are my
best friends right now as I can't use scissors with my left hand. But..I have figured out
how to use my Stamp-ma-Jig to help keep my left hand steady when I stamp.
I have found myself to be very resourceful these past couple of weeks.
You just can't keep an addicted stamper down - he he.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Come and Get It Challenges - It's all about Dies (use at least one - I used 2)
The Corrosive Challenge Blog Challenge #205 Birthdays
Digi Galore - Anything Goes (must use a digital image)
Divas By Design - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Challenge #205 Anything Goes
Lacy Sunshine Challenge #39 Summer
Inky Impressions Challenges IIC#170 - Anything Goes

That's all for me today.  Need to finish laundry so I have clothes for work next week.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Happy Holidays Deer Friend - 52CCT August Sketch Challenge

Oh my...here it is August already and time for a whole month of
new challenges at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown (52CCT).
Before I get to that though, I'd like to thank you for all
the amazing entries we had for Christmas in July at 52CCT.

We had some prizes up for grabs for those of you who left us comments
and entered a challenge (or more).
Winners will be posted on Wednesday - so check the 52CCT Challenge
site then to see if maybe it's you!  Crossing my fingers for you :o)

Back to the first challenge for August at 52CCT.
It's a fabulous sketch - take a look:

Now for my DT card to inspire you to play along with us:
Digital image by Deedee's Digis - "Deer Friend"

I love using digital images to make cards. This is a great pre-colored image from the
digital set called "Deer Friend" by Deedee's Digis.  Usually I like to color the image
myself but thanks to a fractured thumb, I'm not able to do much of that right now.

What's really great about this though is I can print a wonderfully colored image,
use my Big Shot and die cuts and layer the parts to have a finished card
in less than 1/2 the time it would usually take me.  I'm pretty happy with the results!
What a great way to quickly add to my stash of cards to send for the Christmas holiday.
I'd highly encourage you to try it if you are finding that you want to get started - or ahead :o).

The rest of my lovely DT pals at 52CCT have made some amazing cards using the
August sketch.  Please go visit them as well and say "hi".
I hope to see your Christmas card in our gallery this week!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges #188 - Anything Goes
Crafting for All Seasons Challenge #82 Christmas in July
The Pink Elephant TPE261 - Anything Goes
The Crafter's Cafe - Challenge #74 - Use a Digi
Creative Card Crew - 67 Christmas
City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 222 - Animal Magic
Christmas Card Challenges #35 - Anything Goes

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D
