November 2022 Skrappy Challenge

  Good morning krafty friends!

It's November, and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

 The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!  

For this challenge I made a little lighted box. There are two sweet elves from SANTA’S VILLAGE  and NORTH POLE HELPERS stamp sets enjoying the glow from the tea light inside. The sentiment on top of the box is from another sweet Christmas stamp set called CANDY CANE KISSES. It was an easy and fun creation to make. I love how it turned out! Take a peek!

Since Halloween is right around the corner, 

I thought it would be fun to make some 

treat bags for my staff using several of 

the KKS stencils and fabulous hybrid inks. 

Not everyone in my office likes chocolate (GASP!)

so I used some flavored tootsie rolls and 

candy corn (for the ONE person who loves it

in the group).  I actually really love how fun

the candy corn mix looks with the layered 

pumpkin stencil pattern (even if I really don't

love candy corn lol).  

To make the Bats and Moons candy bag I first

colored the white bag orange with 

Pumpkin Patch ink and then stenciled over

the top of that with the new Alluring Amethyst.

So super fun (and easy) to make these gifts!

I used three of the adorable stamps from LUCKY DUCKS 

and a sentiment from NARLY DUDE! to create 

a panel for a 2022 Calendar.  The base of the calendar 

was made with the Wonderful Waves stencil and 

Amazing Azure hybrid ink.  

I think this is a fun and great reminder to have on my

desk when days seem stressful - Just Keep Swimming 

(does anyone else hear Dori's voice in their head 

when they read this? LOL)!

Today I have a fun shaker tag to share with you! 

I used one of the super cute images from 

SQUIRREL FUN and papers and the Cosmic

Shimmer Opal Blaze (sunset orange) from the August Add On bundle. 

To make this tag I first used some Lunar Paste (in traffic cone orange) through the Falling Leaves Stencil on top of one of the papers from the bundle.  Then I sprayed some Distress Oxide paints over the top of it. The outer frame of this tag is chipboard but you can't tell that because I used the gorgeous Cosmic Shimmer over the top of it. The sentiment is stamped with the new Cool Canteloupe hybrid ink (such a gorgeous fall orange!).

If you haven't grabbed the August Add On bundle (still available in limited quantities) you are missing out on some seriously awesome fall

products that work so well with the recent fall release (and previous ones too) at KKS. 

The idea behind the Add On bundles is that you can immediately start crafting and creating when you open the package. There are FIVE full size products in this bundle!! Everything is coordinated so wonderfully and you don't have to dig for things or think too hard about what goes with what.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Skrappy Challenge October 2020

Hello all! Today I'm sharing a creation made for this month's

SKRAPPY CHALLENGE at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

What's a Skrappy Challenge you might ask?

It's a special monthly challenge where we want to see you

make ANYTHING BUT A CARD. 

A scrapbook page, a journal spread, planner decorations,

tags, place cards, wrapping paper, treat bags, ATC card, 

bookmarks, 3D project, etc.

Remember no cards but otherwise the sky is the limit.

Grab your KKS goodies and start creating. 

We need at least 5 people playing along to give out

a $10 prize to spend in the KKS Store. 

You have until November 2nd to enter your creation

either in the blog link or in the special album

in the Krafty Friends Facebook Group. 

I can't wait to see what you make to share with us!

With Halloween coming soon I thought it would be

fun to make a wreath for my office door at work.

It's about 15" in diameter so it was difficult to 

get a very good photo. 

Here's a close up of the middle

I used the Creepy Cobweb stencil (Wicked Black ink)

for the middle piece.  The sentiment is from 

Pumpkin Kisses (inked with Pumpkin Patch ink)

and that spooky and cute gal is from Spooky Suckers. 

My lovely Krafty DT pals shown below also have some

inspiration to share with you.  I think they've really 

outdone themselves this time.  I'd love to try some 

of their projects and creations too!

August Skrappy Challenge

Hello and happy Tuesday! 

Can you believe it's August already?!

Truthfully I'm kind of wondering how the heck

that happened so fast LOL! But I'm not complaining

really as I love the hot days of August and I look

forward to fall being right around the corner. 

Oh but I digress because what I really wanted to share 

with you is that we have a new challenge for you at 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS.  

At the start of each month it's the SKRAPPY CHALLENGE.

What's this you might ask? 

Well...it's an opportunity for you to 

create and share with us a project that 

is really anything but a card.  

You can make and share a 3D project such as a 

tag, bookmark, box, ornament, or maybe some

ATCs or a scrapbook or planner spread.  

We love to see you use your Kraftin' Kimmie goodies and 

stretch your creative muscles to inspire us and others!

If we get at least 5 people to participate in the challenge this

month there will be a $10 prize to the Krafty Shop offered to

one lucky random winners. You have until August 31st to enter.

I am one of those people that still prefers real books over 

electronic versions.  Something about the weight of the 

book in my hands, the sound of the pages turning and the smell. 

To me that's just heavenly!  And I also hate to turn the corners of

my pages to mark my place and love to use bookmarks! 

So I collect those (kind of like I collect coffee mugs). 

I had this idea to make a book wrap/sleeve with a removable 

bookmark as a fun way to gift or share a book.  

The main image is from GIRL POWER.  The sentiments

scattered around the sleeve are from several other stamp sets

that feature readers, reading or bookworms.

May Skrappy Challenge - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Hello lovely friends! 

Hope the month of May is treating you well so far.

Today I'm here sharing a scrapbook page I made for

the monthly Krafty Skrappy Challenge at

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS.

If you aren't familiar with this challenge it's 

always got an anything goes vibe BUT... you

must make ANYTHING BUT A CARD. 

So that means bookmarks, gifts, scrapbook and 

planner pages, tags, boxes...you get the idea.

There are lots of ways that you can use the fabulous 

Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, stencils, inks and dots. 

Once we have at least 5 people participating there will

be a drawing for a $10 gift certificate to spend in the 

KKS Shop.  You have until Monday, June 2nd to enter.

This past Saturday (May 2nd) in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends Facebook Group,

in celebration of International Scrapbooking Day, we presented our 

friends in the group with FIVE different challenges.  One of these 

might spark your creative juices and get you started on an entry for 

this month's SKRAPPY CHALLENGE. 

My inspiration for this page design was one of the iNSD challenges

 in the Friends Group which is to make your own background. 

I'm just a wee bit behind on my scrapbooking. The pup in this page

is now 10 years old!  I made the entire background with 

the PAWPRINTS Stencil using Marvelous Mocha and Ruby Red 

hybrid inks. The sweet sentiments and accessory stamps are from 

CUDDLES THE PUPPY clear stamp set.  The fun accents are 

from Doodlebug (one of my favorite paper lines).

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - February 2020 Skrappy Challenge

Hello sweet friends and followers!

 Today is the start of another monthly Skrappy Challenge

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

The Skrappy Challenge is an awesome opportunity for 

you to stretch your creative abilities and make and

share a krafty project that is ANYTHING BUT A CARD.

So...you can make a scrapbook page, bookmark, planner page,

gift box, treat packaging, gift wrap...you get the idea.  

Just make sure your creation is a NEW one, and includes
a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and/or other KKS products.  

Last year I decided late in the year to make a few desk calendar
pages.  I continued working with 2020 as a gift for Kimmie.
I used all Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, inks & stencils on the monthly sheets.
It was a really fun project! The hardest part was trying to decide
which awesome KKS stamp set to use (so many great options)!

Here's the February page

I put a piece of colored cardstock behind each

monthly panel to give it more strength for standing

up in the small display easel.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Skrappy Challenge (Nov & Dec 2019)

Hello friends! Today is the start of another monthly

challenge at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS

 where the theme is Anything BUT a card!

We call it the Skrappy Challenge and you have 

until next year to join in - the deadline is January 6th!

But before I share my creation with you, I want to
share an awesome SALE that will be coming up soon!

This is a great opportunity to get some of the
KKS items that are on your wish list. 

For my project this month I'm sharing a desk calendar that

I've been working on.  For each of the months I've used

 KKS stencils, inks and of course stamp sets.  

My goal is to get through June by the end of December. 

Here's a look at all of them at once

October 

The stamp sets used are Mini Monsters,

Pumpkin Kisses (Boo!).  The stencil

is Creepy Cobweb (with Granite Grey ink).

November

The sentiment is from Pumpkin Kisses,

the beautiful pumpkins are from 

Happy Fall Y'All. The leaves and swirls

are from Grateful Pumpkins. 

 December 

On this one I used Holiday Village

and a sentiment from

Christmas Cheer Sentiments

(stamped in Berry Bliss hybrid ink)

and here is January

Those beautiful snowy mountains were created

with the new Krafty Scenery 2 stencil.

I used Bubbly Blue hybrid ink for the background

and the tiny snowflakes.  The sentiment is from

Shake it Up - Polar Bears. And of course the adorable

sledder is from the new Jolly Happy Snowmen set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Skrappy Challenge (September 2019)

Hi Hi! Happy you're here to visit me today.

Today is the start of another month of Skrappy fun

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS/CHALLENGES.

This is the challenge where we ask you to make 

ANYTHING BUT A CARD.  

For me, this is always a good stretch of my crafty

brain muscles.  There's so many different projects

you can make - a scrapbook page, bookmark, tags

photo frames, journal art, planner pages, 3D projects, etc. 

You have until September 23rd to enter and share

your own fantastic creation. 

As soon as we have at least 5 people playing there

will be a $20 prize up for grabs to spend in the

Krafty Shop (must have used a Kraftin' Kimmie

products to be eligible to win the prize)! 

I found this sweet little metal tin in my stash 

and decided to decorate it for a Halloween treat.

The NEW Halloween stamp sets for this month are

perfect for projects like this.  I used MONSTER MASH and 

I WANT CANDY (sentiment)  to make a sweet treat holder. 

I'll put candy corn inside for my hubby. 

and of course the top needed a little monster too!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - Skrappy Challenge (May 2019)

Hello friends!  Happy Tuesday!

Today is the start of a new challenge at

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES.

It's the SKRAPPY Challenge where we challenge

you to make ANYTHING BUT A CARD

and you have all month to play along!

For this challenge we do want to see you use your
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps/accessories (stencils, inks, dots)
and make sure that it's a NEW CREATION.
Show us your bookmarks, tags, planner and
scrapbook pages, boxes, gifts etc.
Don't forget to share your creation in the
Kraftin' Kimmie Friends Facebook Group too
because we LOVE to see your stuff!!!

For this challenge I made a small decorative

wall (or shelf) framed art as a bridal shower gift

for a gal who loves camping.

The challenge ends on Monday June 25th.
As long as we have at least 5 people playing along
there will be a PRIZE of a  $20 gift voucher
to use in the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop! 

I used the Good in the Woods stamp set

(camper and sentiment) and some fun dies to create

a camping scene that represents summer or fall

(different types of trees).  I hope she likes it!

Krafty Skrappy Challenge - January 2019

Hello sweet blog friends and followers.

It's the end of the month so that means we have

a new Krafty Skrappy Challenge starting again

at Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges.

What's a Krafty Skrappy challenge you might ask?

The short answer is that it's a challenge where you can make 

ANYTHING BUT A CARD.  But that's really the only limitation.

Scrapbook pages, bookmarks, gifts, gift bags, tags,

journal pages, planner pages...you get the idea I'm sure.
Just be sure to include a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp (or
stencil).  When we get at least five entries there will
be a prize opportunity for a $20 voucher to the KKS shop. 

I recently made up some fun tags to put on goody gifts bags
for my daughter and several of her friends to support them

during their first ever finals week at college. 

I put all kinds of treats in each of them. It was so much fun
and they loved it! I have a feeling I started something that

they will now hope I continue each semester end.  

I used the NEW Hearts and Stars clear stamp set

and combined it with sentiments from Happy Thoughts
to make the tags for each of the gift bags.

November Krafty Scrappin' Challenge (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps)

Oh Hello sweet crafty friends and followers.

My post today is for the November Krafty Scrappin challenge

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES.

For this challenge you can create ANYthing you wish 

as long as it's NOT a card! 

Calendars, bookmarks, pocket pages, traditional scrap pages, 

holiday gifts, planner pages... you get the picture! But NO Cards.

The November theme is  ANYTHING GOES!

I'm usually so busy making cards that I don't stop to make the time

to create something different unless it's a special occasion or reason.

My project today is a sweet little tag that I made using 

Happy Fall Y'All that I put on a jar of homemade applesauce

from my own tree.  It was a gift for my Grandma 

who LOVES anything sweet - and especially applesauce.

Two years ago I only had about 3 little apples on my tree.

Last year I had quite a lot but most of them had bugs but

this year was a bumper crop and I had more than I knew what to

do with.  So I googled applesauce recipes and made several

different versions.  It was so much easier than I thought it

would be and man was it ever wayyyy better than any I've

purchased at the store.  Grandma likes it sweeter than I

do (and smooth) so I added brown sugar to hers and 

threw it in the blender when it was done cooking. 

Needless to say I was her favorite granddaughter 

(Oops I promised not to tell anyone that - lol!)

So enough from me for now.  I hope I've inspired you

to play along with us this time. It is the season for 

giving and there are lots of sweet stamp sets at 

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps that work perfectly for this.

1. Make ANY crafty creation... JUST NOT A CARD!
