Here's my Krafty Guest card using an image from this great set:

 I found this embossing folder in my stash and felt it was 

perfect for both this image and sentiment.

As I plan to give this to my Dad for Father's Day,

I also decided to keep it kind of simple (limited embellies)

and stick to a monochromatic coloring of this image.

Not something I do very often - but really love how it turned out!

 You'll find so many amazing creations on today's hop
featuring both new images and sentiments from this new STEAMPUNK set! 
 This set will have you all GEARED UP to create some incredible designs!!

Kraftin' Kimmie January 2015 New Release - Day ONE - You Are Beautiful!

Hello sweet friends and followers! 

So excited that you are here to visit me today because

it's day ONE of the JANUARY 2015 Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! 

 There are so many goodies in store for you for the first release of the 2015

 and I'm in LOVE with today's new set by the very talented artist -  

Emilie Goulet! You may remember that she used to design for KKS 

a couple of years ago and now SHE'S BACK!!! 

Here is a the preview of  her very newest AMAZING set  

called YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!

These gorgeous framed ladies and sentiments are perfect for
Thinking of You cards or to tell someone just how special they are. 

Here's my Krafty Guest creation using this fabulous set

 I stamped the image three times and created a decoupaged image.

Here's a view from the side so you can see the layers better

her arm and blush brush were the last layer.

I couldn't resist using another stamp and sentiment from 

this amazing set so I stamped a bit on the inside too

Kraftin' Kimmie Saturday Challenge #263 - Birthday!

Happy weekend friends!

Time for another Saturday Challenge at 

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

This week we want you to get your Birthday on

and show us your krafty creations with a birthday theme

or for a birthday person in mind.

For my Krafty Guest creation I made a sentiment only

card using a couple sentiments from the fabulous new set 

by Becky called "Make a Wish"

anddddd...here it is:

 here's the inside

hmmm...can you see the tiny bit of sparkle on the flame?

Doesn't seem to show up as well in the photo as IRL. 

I wanted it to work for either a guy or gal so

I used bright colors and didn't get too "girly" 

with extra accents. But...I couldn't resist

adding a couple of real candles - just for fun :o)

This one will need to be hand delivered - but that's ok.

We have lots of snow here so I'm still

in a winter mood.  Hoping this card 

brightens up someone's otherwise chilly day :o)

I used a chipboard accent from Simple Stories 

that I had left over from another Christmas project.

These mittens are soooo cute :o) - don't you agree?

MTTC #274 - Stripes

Hello friends and followers! 

A special hello to Mrs. P and Mrs. B

aka Lois and Karen :o)

This week's challenge at MTTC #274 is Stripes.

So many possibilities with this theme - just use

some stripes somewhere on your card, scrapbook page

altered item or 3D project. 

Here's my DT card to inspire you to join us this week
using some of my brand new stash (stamp, paper & markers):

Stamp, paper and dies by Stampin Up!

Colored with Stampin' Blendabilities (Pink Pirouette, Smoky Slate and Old Olive)

and copic markers (Y000 and B000)

I colored up this great new stamp and then lined it up

inside the smaller oval die. I then drew a line around

the inside of the oval shape so I would know where to cut 

so that parts of the image were outside the shape.

The paper is brand new in the SU Sale-A-Bration catty.

It's like magic... looks blank until you add ink

to reveal the patterns. LOVE this.  

I used my brayer to add the Pink Pirouette color

and create the soft background.

Soft, simple and sweet :o)

We've had a lot of family and people at work

who've recently been down with the stomach flu

so I decided to ink up "Under the Weather" and 

make a Get Well card for my KK Guest creation

Doesn't this poor fella look miserable? 

Hopefully it will make the recipient smile 

and forget a little bit about the misery.

Tangii is our hostess this week and I hear she created

 a TODAY divider for her planner!

Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Guest for January 2015!!! KKS Challenge #262 Vacation

Hello crafty friends and happy weekend.

I've held in this good news for a bit and now 

I'm ready to bust....I finally get to share with you...

I am a Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Guest Designer for January!!

"Whoot Whoo - Snoopy Dancing - Raise the Roof " kind of happy :o)

This is the first challenge of the month 

and Krafty Gal Stephanie is the hostess with the mostest.

She has chosen a great theme for KKS Challenge #262

is VACATION!

Here's my creative take on this theme

Don't get me wrong, I love to travel and go on vacation.

But sometimes just the pure joy of sitting and reading

a good book - totally uninterrupted- feels like a wonderful

escape and vacation in and of itself :o)

I LOVE this KK Stamp called Lucy

because my daughter is a total bookworm (like me)

and almost always has her nose in a book.
