My Time to Craft #311 - Last Minute Christmas Make

Merry (almost) Christmas friends!
Are you ready?  Have you done your shopping
and wrapping and partying?  I'm close - maybe after
today I'll be able to relax a bit more and enjoy the
last few days before Christmas.
The theme this week at MY TIME TO CRAFT
is "Last Minute Christmas Make"
to give you an opportunity to put together that
one (or two) last Christmas card or project.

I made this Christmas card by only using extra
parts and papers (except for the card base) that were
laying on my craft table from previous projects
(or projects on which I changed my mind and used
something else instead - hehe). Since everything
was already stamped, punched, die cut and ready to go
this card came together really quickly
(LOVE when that happens).

Mostly white cards are difficult to photograph - hope
you can still see most of the details.

Pop in and see what the other lovely ladies at MTTC
have made to share with and inspire you.
You have plenty of time to link up and join us.
Hope to see your Last Minute Christmas make in our gallery.

Our next challenge will be on January 2nd.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

My Time to Craft #310 Christmas Animals

Hello friends and followers!
I'm happy you are here to visit me today!
Are you starting to get ready for Christmas?
Do you have your tree up?
I'll be putting ours up this weekend and
I can't wait to see how it looks.
I still have presents to buy, and handmade gifts
and more cards to make so I better get busy quick!

This next two weeks at My Time to Craft #310
we would like to see your crafty creations featuring
Christmas animals (really any animal will do as
long as it is featured in a Christmas setting).

My card today features an adorable stamp from
the set called "Just Chillin'"  and a sentiment from
"Frosty Friends" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I added several subtle layers to this card.  There's a
dry embossed panel that I then added a large die cut
snowflake and then a die cut sentiment as well as a stamped
(and matted sentiment).  I also double matted the main
image on top of the embossed panel.  I like how it turned out!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #173 - Holiday
The Challenge #53 {Make a Non-Traditional Christmas Card}
I used non-traditional colors for my card

The Card Concept #45 - Let it Snow
My inspiration is the snowflakes. My style is clean and layered.
Crafty Catz Challenge #304 Let it Snow
Fusion Challenges - {Blue Christmas}
I used the color from the inspiration photo
Merry Monday #182 - Christmas card with a bird on it

So that's all for me today folks!
I need to get started on my decorations and shopping!
Thanks for stopping in to visit me. Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #307 (Embossing) and MyTime to Craft #309 (Let it Snow)

Happy Saturday friends!
Today I get the pleasure of combining two of my DT
challenges into one post :o).
Challenge #307 at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE  is "Embossing"
and Challenge #309  at MY TIME TO CRAFT is "Let it Snow".

Here's my card featuring one of the adorable winter-lovin' critters
from the stamp set called "Ice, Ice Baby" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps,
with a dry embossed panel of snowflakes.

Dry embossing is one of my favorite techniques to use.
I have a LOT of embossing folders in my crafty stash. They are a
great alternative to patterned papers sometimes.

Another fun technique that I've showcased here is a spinner card.
There is a tutorial on how I did this on the Kraftin' Kimmie
challenge blog.  Check it out if you would like to learn more about it.

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Let it Snow
ABC Christmas Challenges - W for Wild Things
4 Crafty Chicks # 273 - Inspired by a Song ("Baby it's Cold Outside")

HEY...before I forget...the FRUGAL FRIDAY SALES
are up and there are some amazing deals to be had.  Go
check out the main blog page to see the specials.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you will play
along with us this week and show your mad embossing skills!
We always enjoy your creations so be sure to submit them
so you can have a chance to WIN a $20 gift card to the Shop!
In keeping in line with the rest of our challenges at KK,
we will be drawing one winner per month from all Saturday Challenge
entries to win a $20 gift card! You can enter as many times per month
as you'd like! So go get krafty and join us soon!
Til next time...hugs and happy kraftin'! D

Hi friends!  So glad that you're here to visit me today!
For the next two weeks I am your hostess for the
MY TIME TO CRAFT Challenge #307.
The theme for this fortnight is "Inspired by the Beatles".
Stamp and sentiment from "Together is Better" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

You might be able to tell that the Beatles song I chose for
inspiration is "All You Need is Love" from 1967.
I'm really proud of myself as I was successful in doodling around
the edge of my image frame for the first time - yay me!!
And....I successfully kept it CAS :o)

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #396 "Anything Goes"
Craft Your Passion Challenge #284 "Always Anything Goes"
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges #250 - Anything Goes

My Time to Craft Challenge #306 - Autumn Colors

Hello again friends! It's a busy day on my blog
today with some wonderful challenges and new inspiration
to share with you!  I hope that you are here to see my
newest DT creation for MY TIME TO CRAFT #306.
The theme is "Autumnal colors".  Your creation can
be of any theme or type but must use the colors of fall.

Here's what I made - hope you like it:

I've had this cute little fella colored up for a while
now which was handy to grab out of the pile and
put on a quick card for Thanksgiving.  Ummmm
I can smell the turkey dinner now and taste the
pumpkin pie.  Fall is my favorite season!

I'd like to also enter this card in the following challenges:
Stamping Sensations - October Challenge "Colors of Autumn"
Stampin' Royalty Challenge #298 "Falling for Fall"
The Challenge #45 - Sketch

I hope that you will go visit the rest of our lovely team
and see their creations as well.  Leave a little love along
the way in the form of a comment and make someone's
day!  Thanks so much for stopping in again to visit.
Til next time...hugs! D

My Time to Craft #305 - Alice in Wonderland

Hello sweet crafting friends!
Here it is the last weekend of September already - my how time flies!
I'm really relishing the fall weather - my favorite time of year.

The challenge this next two weeks at MY TIME TO CRAFT
is Inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
My card today features that little white rabbit that is always
running around saying 'I'm late...I'm late!"  My friends and
family know that I can definitely identify with that statement - LOL!

I kept it pretty simple this week and didn't add any embellishments
as I really was late in getting my card done this week.  Let's just
say it was one of the craziest weeks I've had in a while and I
am totally exhausted!  Thankfully with such a darling image
(from Bugaboo Stamps) and a great sketch (from MOJO Monday #418)
it's easy to get it together rather quickly.

I'd also like to enter this in

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today.
I hope that you will go see what the rest of my lovely teamies
have made for your inspiration too!  Would love to see your
own creation in our gallery this time too!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

My Time to Craft Challenge #304 - Owls

Happy Saturday lovelies!
I'm sharing my DT card today for the
newest challenge at MY TIME TO CRAFT.
Wow! You loved our last challenge theme of flowers
with over 100 entries! Let's see if you like this one as much!

The theme for MTTC Challenge #304 is Owls.  Very popular and on
trend right now.  I found an image by Bugaboo Stamps that now only
meets this theme but also shows my love of coffee.
Take a look:

Hahahaha - that's how I look in the morning sometime
before my first 2 cups of joe!  I used the sketch from
MOJO Monday #414 for my layout.

I'd also like to enter this at Papertake Weekly for "Things with Wings".

Thanks so much for visiting me today! The rest of my lovely teammates
have also made some wonderful OWL inspired creations.  Please go
visit them too and then play along with us too!
Hugs! D

My Time to Craft #302 - Easel cards

Hello again sweet friends.
I'm back with another card for the newest
challenge at MY TIME TO CRAFT.

For the next two weeks we'd like to see your
easel cards and creations.  I love to make easel
cards but don't do it very often for some reason.
They really are super easy and are a nice change of pace.

Since this year seems to be going by so very fast,
I'm getting a jump on my halloween cards - take a look:

I really love sentiment only cards lately!  This sentiment in
the moon is one of several awesome fall/halloween sentiments
in a stamp set called "Spook-tacular Sentiments" by
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I used several die cuts - a circle, clouds,
and the fence.  Then I added those adorable "Scaredy Cat"  buttons.
The black cat has a lot of glitter on it which made it terribly
hard to photograph well.  There isn't anything wrong with
your eyes - trust me :o) and sorry about that. It almost makes
you feel a bit dizzy as you look at it - arrghh!!

Do you love fun buttons but struggle with putting them on your creations?
I sure did but I found this fabulous tool called a button shank remover
that easily snips off that pesky plastic loop on the back of  the
buttons so you can adhere them easier on your creations.
Now that I have this I can get lots more cute buttons!
(I got the buttons from the Kraftin' Kimmie Store).
The papers are by Doodlebug Design - LOVE them!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Stamping Sensations August challenge - Anything Goes w/a stamp & a die
Virginia's View Challenge #17 - All things Embellished (buttons)
Crafting from the Heart - Challenge 72 "Anything goes"

Please go visit the rest of the DT at Sketch Saturday and
see what they have made for your inspiration this fortnight.
Summer is busy but I sure hope you will find time to join us too.

Thanks for visiting me...til next time...hugs! D

My Time to Craft #300 "Christmas in July" and Sketch Saturday #370 - Bunny Zoe Sponsor

Hello sweet friends - happy weekend!
This is a scheduled post for me as I will be
enjoying some time with my sweet sister this weekend
so today I am pulling double duty on DT creation.
It's Christmas in July at MY TIME TO CRAFT
and there's a great new sketch up at SKETCH SATURDAY
that works perfectly for this theme.
So I combined the two and made this card to inspire you
to play along with both of these fun challenges.

Here's Sketch #370.

As you can see this sketch would be great for any theme
and you can keep it CAS as I did, or really dress it up,
or flip it  or change the shapes (as long as we can still
see the sketch essence it will work).

The challenge sponsor this week for Sketch Saturday
is the wonderful Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

I hope you will decide to enter and share
your own beautiful creations with us this week.
Til next time...hugs and merry crafting! D

My Time to Craft Challenge #299 - Paper Piecing

Hello again friends!
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far!
I'm back again with another DT card to share with you
for the newest challenge at MY TIME TO CRAFT.
But before I get to that I wanted to tell you that we are
going to a fortnightly (every 2 weeks) schedule
for the next couple of months.

Summer time is short (at least here in Montana it is)
and peeps have lots going on, so we thought it would be
a good idea to switch things up a bit for the summer and
give us all a chance to enjoy the season a bit more.

So for the next two weeks the theme for MTTC #299
is PAPER PIECING!  So get out your stamps and those
little scissors and get to cutting and pasting :o)

Here's my card using a super sweet stamp set called
"Twinkle Twinkle" by Sugar Pea Designs

I paper pieced the comforter, the girl's pjs and the curtains.
I first colored the parts that wouldn't be paper pieced
(let's just say that I have learned that lesson the hard way
in the past - hehehe).  Then added the extra parts I had stamped
onto scraps of designer papers by Doodlebug and Stampin Up.

This card is going to my precious daughter.  She's a bit
old for it (15 now) but I still think it will make her say "AWWWW".
She will always be my baby - no matter how old she gets :o).

I used the current sketch - Sugar Sketch Challenge #27
(w/a bit of my own spin)
to make this card so am entering it in that challenge.
SPDSS27

I'm also entering it in these challenges as well:
The Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenges - Anything Goes (6/29/15)
Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog  Challenge #151 - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant Challenges #305 - Anything Goes

The rest of the lovely ladies at MTTC have also made
some wonderful creations to share with you as well.
Please go visit them and say "hi"!

I hope that you will decide to play along with us for
MTTC299 - Paper Piecing!  You have until July 17th to enter.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

My Time to Craft #298 - Sketch

Oh Hooray it's Saturday!!!!
And time for another challenge
at MY TIME TO CRAFT - Whoop Whoop!
This week we have a terrific SKETCH for you to use.

Oh goodness....I LOVE circles in sketches!
Circles often signify feminine in my mind but
this time I knew immediately what I wanted to do
for a masculine card.  I really thought about creating a
a circle shaped card but decided instead to use the circle
elements and make a square card. And...here's the end result:

The stamps (beer mug and sentiment) are from
Your Next Stamp "For the Boys" and the papers are
by Echo Park "Jack and Jill - boy".  FUN huh??!
I think I'm going to save this one for my son's bday
in November. He turned 21 this year and has decided
that he really likes microbrews - so it's perfect for him!
(Although I hope he doesn't  have that look on his face - LOL)

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Trio Tastic (3 banners)
the Friday Mashup #215 - It's All About 3 (3 banners)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
The rest of the talented ladies on the MTTC team have
also made some wonderful creations to share with you this week.
Please go visit them too and say "hi".
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

My Time to Craft #297 - Fairies

Hello again friends! Hope you are having a
wonderful weekend!  It's time for another new
challenge theme at MY TIME TO CRAFT #298!
This time our theme is Fairies.

I've colored up a sweet little stamp set from a
set called "Fairy Friends" (from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps)
for my DT card today.  I used some soft pastel colors
(not something I do very often) and left it without
a sentiment because I couldn't decided what "occasion"
or "reason" I wanted this to be for.  This way I
can quickly pop a sentiment inside with a message
when the time is right and I'm good to go.

I hope that you will join us this week too!
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit met today!
Hugs! D

Catch the Bug Challenges (Anything Goes) and My Time to Craft #295 - For a Male

Oh hello! Here it is the weekend - whoo hoo - and time
for two new challenge themes at
where it's anything goes this week
and
"For a Male/masculine theme".

I've combined both of these challenges with this
fun card - take a look:
This card is made using "Card Kit - KIDZ - Cookie" by
Bugaboo Digis.  It has the digital papers, the boy image,
a cookie image and 2 great sentiments. I sized the papers
to be 5.2 inches x 4.1 inches prior to printing them.

This fun image reminds me so much of son.  He had those sweet
freckles on his nose and cheeks and LOVED cookies,
especially chocolate chip ones and he'd want "more" constantly.
I'd give him a cookie and he'd ask for 3 more.
I'd say "no, you can have one more", and then he would say
"Awww, compromise five more!" I'd laugh and say "Nope! compromise one
more."  And then he'd say "OK Mama, compromise 2 more". And I'd usually
give him two more- LOL!!  He was a pretty adorable negotiator!
At 21 he still loves chocolate chip cookies a lot. When he gets back to WI
for college I'm going to send this card and some cookies to him ;o)

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #147 "Make Your Mark"
Simon Says Wednesday Challenges - "Make it Masculine"
Brown Sugar Challenge Blog #149 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too Challenge #87 - Masculine

I hope that you will go visit the rest of the DT at
see their wonderful creations for your inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Til next time....HUGS! D

My Time to Craft #293 - Wild Animals & Sketch Saturday #362 (Bugaboo sponsor)

Hello, hello, and a special hello to Trina!
Hope you are all doing well.
I am just recuperating from a nasty bug that pretty
much leveled me in bed for 2 days straight and another couple
days of recuperating.  It's been a long time since I've been that ill.
As a result, I'm a bit behind in my commenting, so please forgive me
as I make my way around again and start getting caught up.
I was also scrambling a bit to get my DT cards done for
today (it's amazing what the loss of 3-4 days can do to a person).

Fortunately I was able to combine two of my DT challenges today!
The first is for MY TIME to CRAFT #293 - Wild Animals
and the second is for SKETCH SATURDAY #362
where we have a fabulous sponsor Bugaboo.

I'm lucky to be a guest designer for Bugaboo through July
so I was delighted to be able to showcase one of the darling
mini sets called "Tall Jungle Blocks" for the wild animals theme.

Here's the fabulous sketch that I used

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Tip Top Tuesday - Animal Challenge
Crafting from the Heart - Challenge #60 "anything goes"
Creative Knockouts  #90 - Sentimentally Yours

I hope you will decide to join us this week at both MTTC#293
and Catch the Bug Challenges and maybe add
a couple other fun challenges too (as I did).

Hope your Memorial Day weekend is wonderful - and Safe!!
Til next time... hugs and happy crafting! D

Today I have a sympathy card to share with you
for the current challenge at

yet I think that they might be the most appreciated ones to receive.

Here's my card using an older stamp from my stash
and some beautiful blue papers.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #278 - "Baby Shower" and My Time to Craft #290 - "Baby"

Hello sweet friends and happy weekend to you!
Today I have a DT card to share with you that I made
Both of these challenges have a theme of "BABY" this week
so it worked out perfectly to make one card for both challenges.

Did you see that Princess Kate had a baby girl!!!!
I'm so happy for them and was hoping it was a girl :o)

I LOVE to make baby cards but unfortunately not many of
my friends are in the new baby making phase of their lives
anymore.  I still enjoy making the cards though cause you
never know when a co worker might need one - or a friend
becomes a grandma. Here's my card :o)

This card is a CASE of a card from Delphine from Delphine's Place.
As soon as I saw it I knew I would be CASING it at some point.
Here's Delphine's card:

The main image is a stamp called "Diana" and that wonderful
sentiment is from a stamp set called "Words of Inspiration".
Both sets are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, where Kimmie has posted
a HUGE, awesome SALE for (Inter)National Scrapbook Day!
In fact....."Words of Inspiration" is in this sale.
Did I mention it's BIG?? But it's only for this weekend.
If you've joined our FB Friends page you're sure to see the sale when it's started!!

I'd like to share my card in the following challenges:
The Outlawz - Twisted Thursday w/twist of "Anything Goes"
Tip Top Tuesday - Duo Challenge (mom and baby)
Cute Card Thursday - Use a Sentiment

I hope that you will join us this week at BOTH
 Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #278  and
My Time to Craft Challenge #290
for our Baby/Baby Shower Themes.

Do you INSTAGRAM??  Be sure to follow @kraftinkimmie for even more chances to win goodies (shhhhh, but I think she's just posted a NEW giveaway, *wink, wink*)
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
Til next time...  hugs and happy kraftin'! D

My Time to Craft #289 - Flowers

Happy Saturday peeps!!
There are leaves showing up on my trees, the days have been warmer
lately, the sun is shining and I am happy not to be at work :o)
Do you have any special plans for the weekend?

Saturday always brings the start of another great challenge
This week our theme is FLOWERS.
What a perfect theme for this time of year as they
are just starting to decide to awaken and show their lovely
colorful faces after the long winter sleep.

I took a bit a different spin on the flower theme
- really a rather humorous one - take a look:

LOL!! Doesn't Stella totally crack you up?
I fully imagine that my Mom thought this of me a time or
two when I was a teenager.  Fortunately for me, my own
daughter who just turned 15 is still so very sweet that I'm
just enjoying her grow and giving her lots of love (and
embarrassing her just a wee bit every now and then - hehe).

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Ruby's Rainbow #102 - C.A.S.
The Corrosive Challenge Blog - Challenge #222 Floral Fantasy

Please go visit the rest of the lovely ladies from MTTC
and see what they have made for your inspiration as well.
Then I hope that you will decide to play along with our
Flowers theme this week!!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

My Time to Craft #288 - Umbrellas

Hello, hello!!
It's time for another weekly challenge at My Time to Craft
and this week we would like to see you use an umbrella
or umbrellas on your creations.  We must see an umbrella either
in your image, on your papers, as a die cut or as a charm to fit the theme.

Umbrellas aren't something we've need too much here yet.
Still seeing some snow here and there (yuck) but the trees
are starting  to bud up now - yay!
I would like to see a little rain soon to help things green up
and to water my flowers and plants.

Here's my DT card for today using umbrellas in my paper.

I used a rainbow die cut and cupcake punch (clouds) to make
this card. The sentiment is from a stamp set called
Rain or Shine at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew #85 Sentiment
Papertake Weekly - Words, Words, Words
The Outlawz - Monday Greetings "April Showers and/or Rainbows"
MOJO Monday #393 - Sketch (which I modified slightly)

and
Virginia's View Challenge #14 - Layers and Dimension

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me again today!
The rest of  the lovely ladies at MTTC have also made some
gorgeous projects for your inspiration.  Please go visit them too.
I hope that you will be joining us this week!

Catch the Bug Challenges - Earth (Recycle) and My Time to Craft #287 - Sketch

Hello! Happy weekend to each of you! Hope you are well!
Do you have any special plans?  We are getting together with family
on Sunday to celebrate my belated birthday party (it's the BIG 5-0 for me!).
Other than that, it's supposed to be cold and rainy here so I'm hoping
to be inside cozy and warm & doing some major crafting :o)

My card today is for two challenges that I am on the design teams of:
Catch the Bug Challenges (Bugaboo) - Earth/Recycle
where we would like to see you use a recycled item(s) on your
card or project (or with the Earth as the focus) in honor of Earth Day;
and My Time to Craft - where I'm the hostess this week
for MTTC #287 - Sketch Challenge.

Before I show you the card - here's the awesome sketch

and here is my card using a digital image by Bugaboo called "World Girl"

I went mostly with the Earth theme here but did rescue (recycle) a small
banner strip that had been sitting on my desk as a left over from another
project and snipped it in half for the two tabs in the sketch.

The background paper is from an older Basic Grey collection
that has been in my stash for literally 6 years and finally got used today.
I love the fun and funky vibe from it with this image.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Sister Act Card Challenges #101 - Anything Goes
If you Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge #116
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/141581982011934539/

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges #222 - Anything Goes

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend and  next week.
Try to find some time to get crafty while you can and then come play
along with us at both My Time to Craft  (sketch)
and Catch the Bug Challenges (Earth/Recycle).
Til next time....hugs and happy crafting! D
