Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #556 - Fall or Winter Creations

Hello to all who are popping in to visit me today!
Happy weekend to you - hoping it's a good one!

It's time for another weekly challenge for
the honor of choosing the theme this week.

For Challenge #556 the theme is...
FALL OR WINTER CARD/CREATION.

I love Fall and all the beautiful colors, hiking, college football
and of course Thanksgiving.  Winter also though has it's own
sort of beauty and is right around the corner (as is Christmas).
I just couldn't decide at first which theme I really wanted
so I'm leaving it up to you as to which one inspires you the most!

Our family will not be having the big turkey day celebration this
year due to COVID so I'm sending out more Thanksgiving cards
than usual to stay in touch.  What awesome time it was to
have the super adorable IT'S TURKEY DAY! stamp released
this year.  I've wanted a stamp set like this for while!
My card today is an easel card.  Here's the front
using a sentiment from Pumpkin Kisses
 and here's the card open

So now it's your turn. What season will you pick?
I can't wait to see your creations in the blog or in
the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends Facebook Group folder.

You can enter as many times as you want - but each
creation must be a NEW and different creation.
There is a monthly prize offered and every time you
enter it give you a shot at it.  Using KKS products
doubles your chances.  Go get Krafty!!!

Oh and before I go... check out the FRUGAL FRIDAY
specials for this weekend and the ink of the month
(which is my favorite - Salty Sea)!

Check out the other creations from my lovely Krafty DT teammates
too by clicking the links below!  Hugs! D

a new challenge theme to create with.

This week our hostess krafty gal Delphine has chosen the
theme for Challenge #547 of CIRCLES!
One of my favorite shapes!

I got a little overly ambitious and decided to make
a slimline shaker card featuring three circles.

That absolutely adorable quirky turkey and fun
sentiments are from the NEW IT'S TURKEY DAY!
clear stamp set.  What do you think?
Do you like it? I will admit it was a bit of a challenge
for me after only making one fairly simple shaker card
previously. But I persevered and I love it!!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

What will you make to share with us this week for
the CIRCLES challenge?  I can't wait to see!!
You can submit your entry in the KKS blog link
or in the Krafty Friends Facebook Group (look for the

in the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop! And...if you use KKS
products on your entry it counts twice!

Before I go... there's an awesome VIRTUAL krafty event
happening next week (starting on Friday, September 11th).

This going to be so much FUN!  I'll be doing a couple of the LIVE

Guest Designing for the Card Concept #100 challenge celebration

Well hello crafty friends!  So nice of you to visit me today.
After many months of a crafting break, I was thrilled when
the lovely Kim asked if I'd like to be a guest designer

And when I saw the beautiful inspiration photo
for this challenge I was even more excited.

Oh my gosh! Seriously sooo many things
you can take for inspiration from this.
I was drawn to the pink and gold colors
and the pumpkins (I LOVE pumpkins!)

I pulled out a bold sentiment stamp called
called Be Full from Neat and Tangled and
made this Clean and Graphic card.
I swished pink distress ink around on my
base panel and then heat embossed the
gorgeous sentiment in gold.

Here's a close up so you can see the embossing a little better

There's a special celebration for this 100th challenge going on
over at the blog so be sure to check it out as well
as the amazing inspiration from the DT there!

Hope my card inspired you in some way.
Hugs and happy crafting! D

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello friends and happy Friday!!
I'm looking forward to the weekend for sure.
I plan to do some shopping so I have food
for our Thanksgiving.
I'm hoping that I  haven't waited too long
and there are still some smaller turkeys
available.  The last time I waited this
long I had to buy a very large bird.
Suffice it to say that we had LOTS of
left overs and we wanted ham the next year :o)

But...before I can get to the weekend
I need to get myself off to work - so I best
get on with this post and out the door.

I colored this darling image over a week ago
but finally got my card finished last night
take a look please:
Stamp "Merry" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

I'm pretty sure this stamp was intended to be
a Christmas stamp (her name is Merry and she
comes with a Christmas sentiment) but with the big
turkey in the pan I decided to make it into
a Thanksgiving card.

Really looking forward to time with family
and some delicious food.
Our Thanksgiving tradition is to serve
scalloped oysters with the turkey - yum!
What's yours?

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Kraftin Kimmie  Saturday Challenge "Anything Goes"
Addicted to Stamps and More! #122 - Make Your Mark
Come and Get it Challenges - Thanksgiving Traditions

Updated to also add: Simon Say's Wednesday Challenges - Thanks/Thanksgiving

As I said...got to get myself to work (no rest for the wicked).
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
Happy Thanksgiving wishes.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting!D

Addicted to Stamps and More! CAS #4 {Happy Thanksgiving}

Hello friends - hope all is well in your world! The challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps and More! is the ever popular Clean and Simple (CAS #4). I made a Thanksgiving card in honor of one of my favorite days of the year (my first favorite being my own birthday - LOL). Why is it one of my favorites? I LOVE the fellowship of family and friends, the reminder of all our blessings and of course... the food! Our family has a couple favorite foods that we make each year, but this year I'm going to start a new tradition also called the "Thanksgiving jar". I'm going to decorate a large Mason jar and ask each person to jot down something they are thankful for. Then right after we eat I'm going to read off all the responses. Do you have a favorite food at Thanksgiving or a favorite tradition around Thanksgiving? I'd love to hear about it if you do.

I like to combine challenges whenever I can - it helps me be even more creative. I chose the colors for my card based on the color challenge going on over at 'ABC' Challenges (where I'm a DT member too). The layout for me card comes from a friend name Cindi who heads up a local card exchange group that I participate in as well.

I hope that you will decide to join us this week at Addicted to Stamps and More! I can't wait to see your CAS cards. The DT at ATS&M has done a fabulous job creating some beautiful CAS cards for your inspiration - please pop in and visit them as well. Til next time - Hugs and Happy Crafting!!

Supplies (all Stampin Up!): Cardstock - Chocolate chip and Whisper White. DSP - Patterns Designers Series paper stack in Bright collection (pumpkin pie).  Stamps - Full of Blessings (available in the holiday mini) - colored with pumpkin pie, choc chip and old olive inks and a blender pen.

'ABC' Challenges - Color Challenge and Lollipop Crafts #94 {Giving Thanks}

Hello friends and blog followers, so happy that you've decided to pop in and visit me today.  We have a color challenge for you this week at 'ABC' Challenges. We'd like to see your beautiful cards using Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Choc Chip. Here's what I came up with for your inspiration:

I am also entering this card in the Lollipop Crafts Challenge #94 - We are Thankful.  It's getting close to Thanksgiving and I LOVE Thanksgiving! I love the fellowship of family and friends (so very thankful for each and every one of them), celebrating our freedoms and blessings (thanks to our military personnel who so bravely defend us), I am thankful for our health, and of course the food - the wonderful, delicious food - Yum!! This is the one day I really let myself just enjoy (and usually regret it later) in terms of whatever I eat.  Does you family have any specific food traditions for Thanksgiving?  We usually have scalloped oysters as one of the dishes that is made.  And for me... I just must have sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie.  Am I making you hungry?  Sorry - I almost made myself hungry too :o) Pie anyone???

So... on to this card.   I punched out a bunch of leaves using Choc Chip and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and assembled them in a wreath shape.  The Argyle embossing folder provided some additional texture to this card.  A pretty quick Thanksgiving card really - aside from the time I spent getting the leaves to conform into sort semblance of a circle ( ;o) ).  My layout comes from a sketch that my friend Cindi found on-line for one of our card exchange group get togethers. I am very thankful also for this great group of crafty ladies - they are a wonderfully supportive group.  I will be sharing this card with the group - hope they like it!

Well... off I go for now. Hope you decide to join us this week at 'ABC' Challenges.  The other DT members have created some beautiful cards to share with and inspire you too.  I'd love to come visit you and see your beautiful cards - so go get crafting.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!  Hugs! D

Supplies (Stampin Up! except leaf punch): Cardstock - Choc Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz (sentiment strip).  DSP - Brights collection of Patterned Paper Stack - Old Olive.  Embossing - Argyle texture folder. Sentiment - Full of Blessings (available in the holiday mini).  Other - naturals wood button and pumpkin pie bakers twine.
