Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - August 2021 New Release Peeks - DAY ONE!

It's time for our August Release Peeks to begin

Today's featured set is a Krafty Komeback set 

with images by Emilie Goulet called WITCH WAY!

These images were originally released in rubber, 

and we're so excited to bring it back in clear for you!?

This bewitching set features two fabulous 

freaky friends with several awesome 

sentiments and two spooky seals.  

Perfect to celebrate with for Halloween! 

Here's my card to share with you today.

I made a spinner card using the sentiment seals.

Each picture shows you a side of the sentiment.  

When you open the card (after twisting the clear

line) the sentiment spins to the other side.

It's a fun surprise for the recipient. 

This side of the spinner sentiment was 

stamped in the new Cool Cantelope ink. 

I have to giggle at the name of this ink 

because it is such a warm, fall orange

color.  One of my new favorites for sure! 

The next photo is after the card has been

opened and the sentiment has flipped.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #307 (Embossing) and MyTime to Craft #309 (Let it Snow)

Happy Saturday friends! 

Today I get the pleasure of combining two of my DT 

challenges into one post :o).  

Challenge #307 at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE  is "Embossing"

and Challenge #309  at MY TIME TO CRAFT is "Let it Snow".

Here's my card featuring one of the adorable winter-lovin' critters 

from the stamp set called "Ice, Ice Baby" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps,

with a dry embossed panel of snowflakes.

Dry embossing is one of my favorite techniques to use. 

I have a LOT of embossing folders in my crafty stash. They are a 

great alternative to patterned papers sometimes. 

Another fun technique that I've showcased here is a spinner card.

There is a tutorial on how I did this on the Kraftin' Kimmie 

challenge blog.  Check it out if you would like to learn more about it.

Snowflake Spinner Card

Hello dear friends and followers.  A second post for me today (whoo hoo ) to share a card I made and taught for a workshop today.  We have a group that meets once a month and I always try to teach them a new technique.  Sometimes this means that I'm cruising different sites for ideas as I don't know that many myself.  I found a video on the Stampin Up Demonstrator website by Dawn Olchefske (DO Stampin with Dawn) on the spinner technique and decided to give it a go. I modified what I learned to a Christmas card using a spinning snowflake. Here's what I made (I'll show a few pictures so you can see how it moved across the card):

  

Lots of fun to make and even more to see in motion :o)  Not sure how well it would make it in the mail though, so this is one that I will hand deliver to avoid getting completely squished.

 My card is made using the following (all from Stampin Up):

Word Window punch

Frosty Flurry Stamp set and coordinating Sizzlit dies - snowflake is stamped and cut out twice and glued together so that it has more substance to it.

Snowburst texture embossing folder (retired)

Island Indigo and Pool Party inks

Whisper white, Pool party, Island Indigo - cardstock

dimensionals, glue dots and two pennies.
