Welcome back to more krafty fun as the sneak peeks for
the September release from KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS
continue!  It's also release week Saturday so that means
it's time for another ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE too.
We hope you'll play along with us this week
and share your own fantastic creation.
You can make any type project, with any type
theme - only limitation is to have krafty fun.

So now on to sharing the newest stamp set of the week.
EEEK - Oh my GOODNESS it's just the CUTEST!!!

And it's a super special one because its the debut stamp set 

designed by our very own krafty gal Sabrina Van Vloten!
It's called YOU'RE A SQUEAK HEART.

Here's what I made to share with you today

I stamped the images with the KKS Granite Grey

hybrid ink.  Love to use this for a softer effect when

coloring with my copic markers.  I added three enamel dots

from the Lovey and Springy Dots collections. The sentiment is

from the super cute Hip Hippo-Ray! stamp set (stamped

in Lovely Lagoon ink). 

I designed my card based on the current sketch from 

Sketch Saturday Week #580 (challenge ended just wanted to give credit)

Since my card also meets the current challenge themes at 

these fun challenges, I'm entering my card there too.

Happy 50th Birthday

Hello friends - Happy Monday!

Friday was my middle sister's 50th birthday

and here is the card I made to help her celebrate 

this momentous occasion.  

the inside says ..."Like WHY did I walk into this room?!"

I tried to break it to her gently that yes this does happen

(and far more often than I'd like to admit) - haha!

This fun sentiment is from a set by Stampin' Up! called 

FIVE FOR ALL. 

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #323

for the layout and the main color of pink because

well, because....I love pink lol!

Fairy Princess Emma (Paper Nest Dolls)

Well hello lovelies so happy you are here to visit me! 

  I think that was the fastest January on record in 

all of my 50+ years on this earth!  Whoosh... suddenly

it's "Welcome to February"  LOL! 

I've been taking kind of a crafting and blogging break lately.

I've managed to do a little coloring here and there for

The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge 

but haven't been able to get a creation finished due to 

lack of time, energy and MOJO (sad face). 

BUT...I recently won a really awesome prize package

from Christine Young of Paper Nest Dolls that included

some awesome Echo Park papers, a Wink of Stella pen

and enamel dots (as well as a couple stamp/die sets)

and this beautiful digital image called 

Fairy Princess Emma.  After coloring her up the other

night for The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge, I found

myself in my craft room today actually finishing a project!! 

So Excited! It sure did feel good to get crafty again!

Happy Birthday to a Reel-y Awesome Guy

Hello friends!

Tomorrow is my son's 24th birthday!

Wow does that make me feel OLD lol!

He arrived about a month early at 5:45 AM

weighing just 5 pounds 5 ounces.  It was LOVE

at first sight and I knew my life would be forever better.

Unfortunately I won't be able to see him on his birthday

(it's hard when they live away from their mamas), but

I will call him bright and early and sing to him

(hope he answers the phone this year hehehe).

One of his favorite things to do is fish

so I used a "reely" fun stamp set from 

Your Next Stamp to make his card this year.

The sketch for YNS Challenge #76 made it 

easy to put his card together quickly.

My Favorite Things 2017 Card Design Superstar Contest - CAS Birthday

hello friends!

I was so excited to see this fabulous contest happening

at My Favorite Things - did you see it too???

In case you missed it I'll quickly fill ya in.

MFT is holding a contest for an opporunity to

I love MFT products and have quite a

stash (many of which I haven't inked up or used yet)

but life has been a tad (okay more than a tad) bit crazy 

for me lately and I wasn't sure I was going to have a 

chance to participate.  Well...I stayed up late last night

and was able to get at least one card made to enter.

I decided to stretch myself and go with the CAS category

since that is the one style I make the least amount of 

cards with.  I made a card that I was so super excited about

BUT... as I picked it up from my craft table I somehow had 

gotten my finger and thumb in some red ink and left two

not so lovely fingerprints right on the card. UGH!  

I was so disgusted with myself that I just had to go to bed.

This morning I got up and decided I was going to make a

another card but a little differently (didn't want the bad juju again).

Here's what I came up with 

I used the following MFT products:

Make a Wish stamp set (sentiments)

Die-Namics Birthday Candles

Subtle Plaids Paper Pack (6 x 6) for the candles

For me...in some ways I think "wow it's finally Wednesday" 

and then I think "oh my goodness it's already Wednesday"!

A while back I entered Challenge #114 "For A Man"

at CRAFTING BY DESIGNS and my card was one of

the ones chosen as a Top Pick.  To my delight I was 

asked to be a Guest Designer for a future challenge.

Of course I said "yes" and today is that day :o) 

The Theme this week is ANYTHING GOES 

which is super easy and fun!  Always a favorite of mine.

I made this card for my daughter's boyfriend recently.

He's a football player and loves the Denver Broncos

(as do I !).  I thought this was perfect for him. 

The main image is from a stamp set called ALL STAR 

(by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps) and the sentiment is from 

a set called Stay Strong (by SugarPea Designs).  

Those number stickers have been in my stash for years

(literally).  I bought them with some scrapbook layout

in mind but had never used them.  I'm honestly quite

surprised that they stuck to the card (hope they are

still sticking on there - lol)!

Happy Birthday Big Guy

Hi friends! Hope your Monday has been a good one!

A little while ago I colored this awesome stamped image

from SugarPea Designs called "Stay Strong" as part of 

The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge

and tonight I got him on a finished card and
can enter it in the challenge now.

I mentioned that I had colored the stamped image earlier.

Then I used the coordinating die to cut him out

and place on this layout.  The background panel was 

created by using the bouncing brayer technique.  

Isn't he handsome? :o)  I knew I had to have this

stamp as soon as I saw it!

"It's Your Birthday..." SugarPea Designs - Rice, Rice, Baby

Hello sweet friends!  

I found some myself with the luxury of

having some "just for fun" extra crafting time 

over the weekend so I pulled out a few of

my "yet to be inked stamps" and had a blast 

creating with them.

   Do you make New Year's resolutions?

I don't usually make them - mostly because it seems
that I inevitably fail in keeping them lol.  BUT....

this year I did make 3 crafty resolutions 

1) use more of my "yet to be inked" stamps

2) use up more of my designer paper stash 

before purchasing more (this one is going to

be the most difficult because I think I 

truly have an obsession with patterned papers)

3) get a couple of my cards published  and...

hopefully 4) be awarded a guest designer spot for a 

couple of stamp companies or blogs that I really like. 

I'm super happy about this card because it fills two of

my New Year's crafty resolutions - using an inked
stamp set called Rice Rice Baby from SugarPea Designs

and some of my designer paper from my stash.

I colored this with my copic markers.

Catch the Bug Challenges - New Release Tuesday (Aug. 30th)

Hello sweet friends and followers!

Today is a bittersweet post for me

as it's my last official DT post for

CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGES.

I've had the pleasure of being on the Bugaboo Stamps 

design team for nearly a year and a half (total with 

guest designer spots) but lately life and work has 

been knocking me for a loop and I find it very hard 

to keep up with everything.  Something has to

give for a while so I've decided I need to step down 

from the team as I can't continue to give it my

best attention - even as much as I love being part 

of this amazing group. Thank you Jodie and 

crew for having me with you and for being so 

understanding and supportive of my decision. 

So...back to the fun part of this post

and that would be to show you

the fabulous NEW Release digital image

for this week featuring flowers and butterflies!

It's so beautiful!! 

This is colored with my copics but I also

want to try it with watercolors too.

Oh hooray it's Wednesday!! 

My favorite day of the week (other than Saturday)

and time for another fun Anything Goes challenge

for Wonderful Wednesday

My card today features one of the lovely mermaids

from the clear stamp set called "Mermaid Friends".

 I LOVE this set!

I added some sponged "waves" with a die cut 

that I used as a stencil.  The layout is from 

the awesome July sketch at Kraftin' Kimmie 

and of course I had to add some of my favorite

embellishments - enamel dots.

Hello friends and followers!
Wow! How is it even possible that it's the first

weekend of June?  Seriously it just floors me!

Sometimes I have to giggle at myself because I hear

my grandma's voice coming out of my mouth 

as I talk about how fast time flies - but it really

does seem to lately :o)  And...she was a really
sweet and wonderful lady so I don't mind
sounding like her at all!

So...it's time for another weekly challenge
at CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGES
and the theme is ANYTHING GOES.

I made a tall and skinny card (3.75" x 6 1/2")
using cupcake tray (colored w/copics)

To make this card size you need a cardstock base 

sized 6 1/2 " x 7 1/2" and score at 3 3/4" on the longest side.

The layout is based on the current sketch

Catch the Bug Challenges - Oldie But Goodie Thursday 4/28/16

Hello friends hope you are doing well.

At the moment I have a sore neck and a 

pounding headache so I'm going to keep 

my post a bit short if you don't mind :o(.

Maybe you know by now that Thursdays
