Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - September Monthly Challenge

This month our challenge themes for you are:

Back to School/Primary Colours and/or Circles

You can choose one theme or combine them!
Enter as many times as you like all month long!
It's a Choose Your Own Krafty Adventure!

I've chosen theme of Primary Colours 

(Red, Yellow and Blue) for this month's challenge. 

AHOY SAILOR! is one of favorite stamp 

sets and I felt it's nautical theme would

be perfect for these colors.  I'm also

channeling a back to school vibe (more

for college level) with the sentiment.

 

The sky was made with the 

Krafty Scenery 4 stencil and some

Designer Denim ink. I used the

Krafty Scenery 3 stencil for the ocean

(filled in with copic markers in B26 & B24).

The subtle texture in the background

is the Rugged Rope stencil used

as an embossing panel.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - June Challenge! Dad/Boy/Masculine and/or Outdoor Activities

It's a Choose Your Own Krafty Adventure!

June is the month to celebrate the men in our lives. 

Typically that means Father's Day, but the person

that I'm celebrating is my Brother-in-Law. 

I chose the Masculine theme for this month's 

challenge and made a birthday card for

his upcoming BIG birthday year.  

To create this card, I used the 

Charming Chevron stencil 

and the following gorgeous KKS hybrid inks:

Sandy Shores

Marvellous Mocha

Bubbly Blue

Designer Denim

Magical Midnight

The first thing I did was use a white cardstock

panel and sponge the different ink colors through 

the stencil using foam daubers. Then I lifted

the stencil and brushed the same colors over the 

top of what I had just stenciled. 

Since I wanted the die cut numbers to be

the same color as the chevron stripe.

I covered another piece of scrap white 

cardstock with the Magical Midnight ink and 

let it completely dry before using the number dies. 

I also made a custom sentiment strip panel

but covering another piece of scrap white

cardstock with the Sandy Shores ink. 

The sentiment is from the super fun 

Birthday Bash stamp set.   

I stamped the sentiment with

Marvellous Mocha ink but this time I was

impatient and didn't let the Sandy Shores ink

set in the paper as well as I should have so the 

mocha ink kind of sunk into the panel and

didn't stand out as much as I was intending it to.

I think the message is still quite clear and I 

have to admit that I quite enjoy teasing my BIL.

Oh boy did this challenge theme excite and challenge me! Here’s my card using all the challenge prompts. 

Something old is a  previously released stamp set called It’s About Time! and some enamel dots that have been in my crafty stash forever. 

Something new is the Swirling Stars stencil (just released last month). 

Something blue is three KKS blue ink colors - Mermaid Melody, Sparkling Sapphire and Stormy Sky.

I created my card using the “things that hop” prompt.

I began with the wonderful

new LAYERS OF EGGS

Stencil with Blue Bay ink

on the base layer of the stencil and Purple Pansy over the top of the second layer (the layer that decorates the eggs). 

The star of the card is a sweet bunny from the

FAWN’D OF YOU!

stamp set,  

and the sentiment is 

from the New Beginnings 

stamp set.

I love how KKS products are so easy and fun to mix and match!

Hello everyone! Thanks for popping in to visit.

If there's one type of card I never have enough of 

in my stash, it's Birthday cards (closely followed

by Thank you cards).  I used some of the colors from

the sunrise color palette and make a beautiful 

shaker card with one of the stamps from the

lovely Flutter High! Take a peek...

I used a one piece shaker panel piece

to wrap around the background panel

that I made with the Geo 3 stencil and 

some gorgeous Ocean Opulence ink. 

Then I dumped in a bunch of the pretty little

blue butterfly shaker pieces (Dress My Craft)

and sealed it all up.  Easy-peasy and fun!

I hope that I've inspired you to try something

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #556 - Fall or Winter Creations

Hello to all who are popping in to visit me today!

Happy weekend to you - hoping it's a good one!

It's time for another weekly challenge for 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS and I have

the honor of choosing the theme this week.

For Challenge #556 the theme is...

FALL OR WINTER CARD/CREATION. 

I love Fall and all the beautiful colors, hiking, college football

and of course Thanksgiving.  Winter also though has it's own

sort of beauty and is right around the corner (as is Christmas). 

I just couldn't decide at first which theme I really wanted 

so I'm leaving it up to you as to which one inspires you the most!

Our family will not be having the big turkey day celebration this

year due to COVID so I'm sending out more Thanksgiving cards

than usual to stay in touch.  What awesome time it was to

have the super adorable IT'S TURKEY DAY! stamp released

this year.  I've wanted a stamp set like this for while!

My card today is an easel card.  Here's the front

using a sentiment from Pumpkin Kisses

 and here's the card open
