Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #473 - Use Sequins

Hello friends!  Happy weekend!
Hope you have some fun plans - or maybe some great relaxing ahead.

This week the theme challenge for

I must admit that this was really a challenge for me.
Even though I ooh and ahh when I see people using sequins
on (or in) their creations, I really struggle with them.
I don't know how to place them and it really kind of
bugs me how they stick to my finger and don't go where I
want them to easily.  LOL real problems right?!
Anyway...because I wanted another opportunity to create with the
NEW Fawn'd of You stamp set (by artist Cheryl Grant)
I decided to accept this challenge.   I'm quite pleased with
how it turned out!  Take a look:

Easter is coming up soon and this set is so
perfect for that or just a general spring "hello"
card for someone you love.  I had this die cut panel
in my stash (from forever ago) that worked so
pretty over the top of a piece of yellow gingham
patterned paper.  Lots of layers but still a fairly
clean design. And what a fun sentiment too!

In addition to the KKS Challenge #473 - Sequins
I'm also entering this card in these great challenges:
Cardz  Galz Challenge #92 March Hares (or Rabbits)
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #574 Spring Fever!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenges - CUTE
If You Gave a Crafter a Cookie - Challenge #113
(inspired by the flowers and springy theme of the cookies)

I hope that you'll decide to play along with us this week.
Every time you enter one of the KKS challenges your
entry is put in the pot to win a $40 gift certificate
(drawn after the close of each month).  There's no
limit to how many times you can play along - but
you do need to submit a new creation (not previously published
or shared).  We love to see what you make - especially
with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Hugs! D

Hello! Oh boy are you in for a treat today!
We have a special blog hop celebration for the
March New Release at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS.

You can now find ALL the  new stamps,
stencils, dots and ink in the KKS Store today.

And of course there's the GIMME KIMMIE kit
for those of you who want it all - at a discount! And why wouldn't you?
What a fantastic release this has been!
Let's recap what we've shared with you this week...
Three new fantastic and fun stamp sets
LLAMA DRAMA by Melissa Baker-Nguyen
FAWN'D of YOU by artist Cheryl Grant
YOU GIVE ME WINGS by artist Neda Sadreddin
Two awesome new stencils
LEAVES & VINES and STARBURST
A new gorgeous SPARKLING SAPPHIRE blue hybrid ink
and the oh so pretty SPRINGY enamel DOTS!

My hop card today features another of the main images
from FAWN'D of YOU.  The adorable images from this set
just touch my heart, and are so much fun to color.
This time I colored with Prismacolor pencils.
I'm trying to get more comfortable with them and
I find that I do better with smaller images still.
Once again I used the March KKS Sketch for
the layout.  I love using sketches for inspiration. Do you?

This could be an Easter card or just a springy "hello" card.

Thanks so much for hopping in to visit me today.  I hope
you will check out the blogs of the other Krafty Krew and
Guests for more wonderful krafty inspiration from this release.

options for how I want to use this card.

"Here Comes Spring" or even "Happy Birthday" card.

Spring is Coming - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Hello!  I was such a busy little bee today.
It snowed all day long and was very cold outside
so I crafted, I purged and I organized! Woo hoo!

I have been on a kick lately of using stencils for backgrounds
or scenes.  This card was made for the special celebration
challenges this weekend in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends
Facebook Group.  We are celebrating reaching 6,000 plus
followers and Kim's birthday with five special challenges.
Kim's favorite color is purple so that's the theme/color
for challenge #5.  I inked up some purple tinged clouds
with the Krafty Basics stencil.  Really loving how it
turned out and wishing it was spring and not still
winter here - lol!  Here's my card -
that adorable little lamb and sentiment are from
the KKS stamp set called Easter Blessings.

I'd like to also enter this card in the following challenges:

Well that's it from me today.  Need to get myself to bed
and ready for work tomorrow.  Why do the weekends
go by so much faster than the rests of the week?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  Hugs! D

Today is my birthday - whoop whoop!

Anyway.... thanks for visiting me today!
I have an Easter card to share with you.
Last month I participated in
The Daily Marker 30 Coloring Challenge.
I colored each day but didn't get an actual project
done but twice.  The sweet images on my card
were some of the ones I colored.  So excited to
have a finished project now :o)

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #376 "Easter"

Happy weekend lovely crafty friends!
Wow what a week I had this past week!
Let's just say I'm so happy that one is in the
books and I have today to relax a little bit :o)

Today is the start of the first Saturday challenge of
April 2017 at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES.
Our first challenge theme for this
month from our hostess Jasmine is #379 "Easter"

I used a sweet little stamp sets that was one of the
first that "hooked" me on Kraftin' Kimmie

This stamp is from a rubber set.  Many of the rubber sets are in
very limited quantities as Kimmie has gone clear.
I must apologize because when I made this card there was
still a couple of them in stock but it appears that now they
have sold out.  The unfortunate part of that is when these older
rubber sets are gone they are gone. I'm sorry for tempting you
but I hope you like my card anyway and it has inspired you to
make an Easter card of your own to play along with us.

You can use the April sketch (like I did) for extra chance to WIN
a gift certificate to the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop.  You don't have to
use it but it's up all month to help inspire you or give
your MOJO a boost if needed.  Sketches really help me to
get a card together quickly or when my creativity is lagging.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

So now it's back over to you!  Hope you have some
good crafty fun this weekend!  Thanks so
much for stopping in to visit me today!
Hugs! D

4 Crafty Chicks Challenges {4CC #343} - Punches or Dies

Wow! The month of March is just well...
Marching right along!  I can't believe there's only
two weeks left of it already!
Soon it will be Easter!

This week the theme challenge at
4CC #343 (chosen by Lori) is Punches or Dies!
Ohhhh this is a favorite one for me!
I love to use both as often as I can!
Especially dies that coordinate with stamped images
such as these adorable "Peep" bunnies that  I used on my card
The bunnies are from last year's Simon Says Stamp March
stamp kit (yes it took me that long to actually use it - shameful!).
The stitched panels are from dies (Lawn Fawn) as are the bunnies
and their bows (Simon Says Stamp).  The grass is a punch
(Martha Stewart)  which I then ran the punched strip through
the Big Shot again with the stitched rectangle for the bottom part.
The plaid paper (Echo Park) and sequins were also in the kit.
The pretty springy inks are from Stampin' Up!

Here's the finished inside too

Peeps on cards are really the only type of Peeps I like.
I think I ate too many of them once when I was young
and haven't been able to touch them since - lol.
But I sure do think they make cute Easter cards!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
(I did use the twist)
(I used 3 dies and 1 punch)

Thanks so much for visiting me today!
See you again soon! Hugs! D

was a snap to color with my copics.  I masked around him
sponged through a stencil for the background pattern.
Then I added the punched grass and the die cut clouds
sentiment (layered) and sun.  I think this could be a
sweet design for a baby card as well.

Catch the Bug Challenges - Anything But A Card

Happy Monday everyone hope your Easter weekend was nice!
We spent a wonderful few hours at my folks house eating
and playing games.  I felt very blessed to be with them.

Monday's are "Anything But a Card" day
at CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGES
where the DT shows you how to get crafty in
different ways using the awesome Bugaboo Stamps
digital images.  My creation to share with you today
is an Easter wreath using the most recent Friday Freebie
"Easter Egg Basket" - take a look:

I apologize that this is not the best photo.  I took the photo
and then took the wreath to work to hang on my office door.
Sadly I didn't check the photo before I did that - Ugh!
Here's one that is a little better of the main image in the middle
I used up a bunch of older papers that were in my
stash (12 x 12 size) in colors that are perfect for
spring and Easter.  I also grabbed some bright
tissue paper for previous gift bags and used that
for the center part.  It's much prettier in real life.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Little Red Wagon Challenge #334 - Happy Easter/Spring
The Corrosive Challenge Blog - March Challenge #3 "Anything Goes"
(this is my 3rd entry for the month)

Kraftin' Kimmie - March Krafty Scrappin' Challenge

Hello crafty friends! It's time for another monthly
Krafty Scrappin' Challenge at
What makes these monthly challenges unique is that you can create
ANYthing your little heart desires as long as it's NOT a card
Calendars, bookmarks, pocket pages, traditional scrap pages, holiday gifts,
planner pages... you get the idea!

I made some Easter treat bags for my co-workers
using one of the adorable stamps from SPRING TRINKETS.
There are 8 great stamps in this set for spring, easter and Mother's day.
Did you know that Kimmie is clearing out her rubber stamps
inventory and going completely clear?  There are still some of this
adorable set available in the KKS shop but I'm not sure for how long.
So if you love this set I'd recommend you go grab it for yourself
(I'm sure glad I did!) cause when they're gone...they're gone!

Here's a close up of the bag toppers
(I used some of the yummy new Lawn Fawn plaid papers)

Oh my gosh...in the process of making these gifts I discovered
a new obsession - Cadbury mini chocolate eggs.  These are
to die for - literally.  I almost decided to go buy a bag of jelly
beans for these gifts and keep the chocolate for myself!!
But I decided that those extra 10 pounds I would gain
weren't worth being selfish over - LOL!

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #168 - Anything Goes w/twist of use a bird
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges - Food and/or Drink
Sweet Stampin' Challenges - Easter

Come play along with us!  Get some of those photos out of boxes,
or pull up that idea you've pinned for a later date and make
something creative and fun!  Here are a few things to remember...
THIS MONTH'S THEME: ANYTHING GOES!!!
1. Create ANY scrap page, Project Life Layout or pocket page cards,
altered item, etc. JUST NOT A CARD!
2. MUST be a NEW creation (created on or after this post date)
3. MUST use Kraftin Kimmie stamps to be entered in to the drawing.
4. You have a month to play, enter AS MANY TIMES as you'd like!
5. PRIZES?!? Of course there are prizes!! Once we've reached 5 entries,
we draw a random winner (to be drawn at the close of the challenge)!
6. You have until Monday, April 18th @ 9:00 pm EST to get your entries in.
7. Be sure to also share your creations on our Krafty Friends FB page
so we can all drool and OOHHHH and AHHHHH!

Happy Easter!

Hello friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day wherever you are :o)  Easter is just
around  the corner and such a wonderful time to reflect on our blessings.
Especially the greatest blessing of all.

I'm looking forward to spending time with family and trying a couple new recipes from my
Pioneer Woman cookbook (I got the holiday one for my anniversary).

I've probably made more Easter cards this year to send to my friends and family
than I ever have before.  There are so many cute patterned papers, stamps and digital
images with Easter themes - it's futile to resist the urge to create :o).

Take a look at my newest Easter card please:
Digital image by Lacy Sunshine - "Rory's Eggstra Delivery"

This is Rory. Isn't she sweet?  She was so much fun to color!
Her big sack of eggs makes my kind of sad that my kids are too "big"
now for the annual Easter egg hunt which was a tradition of ours for a very long time.
I'd hide them for myself - but with the way my memory has been lately,
I might not find them until August - LOL.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges today:
Alphabet Challenge - E for Easter
Digi Haven - Easter Challenge with a Twist to use Brown
Creative Card Crew #59 - Spring
Divas by Design - Easter/Spring
Crazy 4 Challenges 231 - The Crazies get their Egg on (use an egg on your project)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad that you did!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D
