Easter Shaker Card

 Happy Easter to you!
I hope you are getting to spend the day
with family and/or friends!
I busted a move yesterday and
made many Easter cards.
I had intended to get them
made and sent earlier in the
week but was dealing with an
eye infection that made that
too difficult to do. So, the cards
will be late but I hope they will
still bring joy to receive in the mail.

This is a shaker card I made
using a stencil, inks and a chick
die from Simon Says Stamp.
The shaker bits are from Stamp Anniething.
The die frame and sentiment strip
are from Taylored Expressions.

Interactive Easter Card

 Hello friends! Happy Easter!
Yesterday I made a shaker card using one
of the Waffle Flower card front shaker panels.
These are super easy to use. I learned though
that you don’t need to leave extra space around
the edges. It seemed as if it might be too tight
but it’s perfect if you don’t use thick
shaker elements. I left a bit too much room
and found that some of my shaker bits
flip on their side and get stuck in the panel.
A good knock on the edge generally
Gets it to move away but if I had just
put it down tighter it would be better.
Anyhoo… I would definitely use these
again abs I love how this turned out.

The shaker bits are from Stamp Anniething.
The background panel was created with a stencil
by Taylored Expressions (I also used
the TE inks). I heat embossed the
sentiment strip (also from TE). And
added a layered die sentiment to
the front panel. It’s a lot of fun but
I’ll definitely have to send it as
a package because it’s thick.
I put a ton of shaker bits in there!

I’m entering this card in the current
4/13 - Interactive.

Guest Designer - Critter Crazy Challenge Blog #61 - Anything Goes with a Featured Critter

Hello crafty friends!  Happy first day of April.

This month I get the honor of being a guest designer
for the Critter Crazy Challenge Blog! No fooling!

That means you can make ANY kind of creation BUT the main
focus must be an animal - real (feathery, furry, scaley, or an insect),
or fantasy (dragons, unicorns or teddy bears for example).
If you are a lucky winner of this challenge (like I was)
you'll have an opportunity to be a guest designer in the future.
There's so many options and possibilities featuring critters -
I can't wait to see what you make and share with us!

My card features a couple furry friends on a road trip.

I used products from several of my favorite
crafting companies on this card:
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Tire Tracks stencil
Taylored Expressions - Clouds stencil, Oreo ink and Confetti Cake ink
LDRS Creative - grass die strip
Gina K Designs - Friend die cut
MFT Stamps - Sun die

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Mine is a Song - On the Road Again by Willie Nelson

Thanks so much for popping in to visit me today!
Hope your day is extra special - crafty hugs! D

Freshly Made Sketches #500

Hello again, I'm back again with a second card to
share that I made for the

This time I used a fun new kit from Taylored Expressions
(includes a stamp, stencil and dies) called In The Abstract.
Taylored Expressions is one of the sponsors of
the FMS#500 celebrations.

Here's the fabulous Sketch #500
And here's my card

I love the font on the sentiment.
I was going for a fall type card but after I
made it, I felt like it almost looked more like
Christmas colors.  That's the beauty of this set
really.  You could change the color of the leaft
sprig to green and add a different sentiment to
get a completely different look.
