My Time to Craft #305 - Alice in Wonderland

Hello sweet crafting friends!
Here it is the last weekend of September already - my how time flies!
I'm really relishing the fall weather - my favorite time of year.

The challenge this next two weeks at MY TIME TO CRAFT
is Inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
My card today features that little white rabbit that is always
running around saying 'I'm late...I'm late!"  My friends and
family know that I can definitely identify with that statement - LOL!

I kept it pretty simple this week and didn't add any embellishments
as I really was late in getting my card done this week.  Let's just
say it was one of the craziest weeks I've had in a while and I
am totally exhausted!  Thankfully with such a darling image
(from Bugaboo Stamps) and a great sketch (from MOJO Monday #418)
it's easy to get it together rather quickly.

I'd also like to enter this in

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today.
I hope that you will go see what the rest of my lovely teamies
have made for your inspiration too!  Would love to see your
own creation in our gallery this time too!

I think this might be about the last of my favorite holiday
papers from last year's Doodlebug line.  LOVE the non-traditional
colors of purple and blue together.  Those tiny little lights have
been in my stash for awhile (nearly a year) just waiting for such
a perfect reason to be used again.  I adhered them with some clear
liquid glue. It was a bit of a fussy process as I waited for each one to set

Kraftin' Kimmie NEW Release Peek Day ONE - The Magic of Christmas

Hello friends and followers!
By now you may have heard the fabulous news that
KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS has gone CLEAR!!!!
I love these new stamps - they stamp so crisp and perfect
right from the get-go.  Pull them off the panel, pop them
on the block and ink them up.  Easy peasy wonderful!

Today is day ONE of the September NEW Release peeks
and debut of the first clear stamp set which is another
awesome sentiment stamp set by artist Becky Pearce called
"THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS".  This one is so perfect
for making lots and lots of Christmas cards with it's beautiful
fonts and sentiments. Take a look:

I made a quick little card using one of these fabulous sentiments

I started by stenciling a panel with stars and then added
some extra inking around the edges.  I had a major mishap
in the process so decided to quick creative and cut out the boo-boo
and add the panel to the bottom.  I like how it turned out -
it was a nice surprise or as crafter's call it "a happy accident".
I added the sticker ornaments and metallic cording (which have been
in my stash for at least two years) and viola - done :o).

ALL of the NEW CLEAR September stamps PLUS a Limited Edition
Super Sized HOLIDAY Kard Kit (you can find out more HERE

SPECIAL ON-LINE Koffee Krop challenges!!

I'm delighted to be a hostess for the second challenge
of this special event and my challenge is 1:1:1.
To decode this for 'ya it means...make a 1 layer card
(or use just 1 layer) with 1 sentiment and 1 image
Hopefully you've already seen the first challenge from
Stephanie which is paper piecing.  If not, pop on
over to the KK challenge blog (click here) and
check it out.  But....not before you check out my
challenge below - LOL!!

Here's what I came up with for 1:1:1
(I went w/the only 1 layer option)

Don't  you LOVE the happy faces on that sweet
Punkin Family?  To keep my card as a 1 layer only
I stamped and embossed the image first then added
some color with my watercolor pen and inks.  After drying the
panel w/my heat gun the sentiment - from the NEW
"My Best Friends are Witches" stamp set - was added and
embossed.  I'm pretty tickled with how this turned out since
this is a style that is a challenge for me too
(what WAS I thinking?) LOL!!

up for grabs for each of the special challenges by some

King of the Crib - Your Next Stamp Sketch Challenge #22

Hello friends! Things have been a bit quiet on my blog
this past week.  I thought once school started things would
kind of slow down again but things have gotten a bit crazier
and busier instead.  Hmmm...what's up with that?

I did find time to make a special request card for a
new baby boy that is on his way soon.   Take a look:

The nursery is decorated in a jungle theme.
I used the super sweet stamp set from Your Next Stamp
called "King of the Crib, a fun die cut set from SugarPea Designs
called "Baby Diaper Pin", some ribbon from my stash and some super
adorable Doodlebug Patterned Papers - Baby Boy.

It's a bit difficult to see in the photo but I double layered the lion's head
(stamped it twice and fussy cut around one of them) and popped it up
with glue dots for extra dimension.  It's way cute IRL!
Here's the inside too:

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Your Next Stamp Sketch challenge #22 (see below)

Thanks for stopping in to visit me!
Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs! D

Sketch Saturday #377

Happy Saturday crafty peeps!
Can you believe that it's the first Saturday in September?
I am having a really hard time understanding how it is
that time goes by so fast.  I swear that I blinked and
August was gone!  Before you know it Christmas will be here.
Hey...it's not polite to swear (you didn't think I heard you
cussing me for saying the "C" word already did ya?? Hahaha!!

So the good news (aside from it's the weekend) is that
it's time for another fabulous sketch challenge at

Here's Sketch #377
and here's my card using it

That fabulous sentiment is from a stamp set called
"Spook-tacular Sentiments" by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps
(the twine, black dots and cat button are also from the KK Shop).
I remembered that I had these fun Sizzix dies for the pumpkin
and the faces that seemed so perfect to go along with this sentiment.
The papers are from my older stash. Kind of an eclectic mix
of patterns that I used on this card - not sure I'm in love with it,
but it's done now so I guess it will have to grow on me :o).

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Clear it Out Challenges: Theme and Stash are both Anything Goes
Crafty Catz Challenge #291 - Anything Goes
