Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - #500 "Use 1 or More Stencils"

Hello friends and happy weekend.
This week at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS
we are celebrating 10 wonderful years and
the 500th Challenge!!! What an amazing milestone!

This week our hostess for Challenge #500 is Krafty Gal Anna.
She is challenging us to  Use 1 or More Stencils on our creations.
And guess what??? Kimmie is offering a special prize to 
one lucky winner from this next week's entries...

Since Kimmie started carrying stencils in the krafty shop

I've hardly used my patterned papers.  The stencils are so fun

to use and they work so beautifully with the KKS hybrid inks.
They also work great for dry embossing.
If you haven't checked them out you should!

My DT card today uses 3 of the stencils for the background
BATS & MOONS, CREEPY COBWEB and LOTS O' DOTS
and one of the not so spooky monsters from
MONSTER MASH with a sentiment from PUMPKIN KISSES
and added couple of the fun enamel SPOOKY DOTS.

This is one of the funnest cards I've made in a while.

The first color I used on the background was 

GOBLIN GREEN (leaving some white space around the bottom

and outer edge.  Then I added some SPARKLING SAPPHIRE

in the white areas I had left.  For the stenciled layers, I first 

sponged some GRANITE GREY over the top of the 

Creepy Cobweb stencil.  Second layer was to add some bats

through the Bats & Moons stencil. The sentiment was 

added in Wicked Black (same as the bats) and then I

sponged with PURPLE PANSY ink through the 

Lots o' Dots stencil.  Isn't it fun? I love how the green

glows through the web! Spooky Cool!

August 2019 New Release Peeks DAY FOUR and ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE

Happy Happy Saturday crafty peeps!

We are still continuing the sneaky peeks for the 

New August release from KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS

and today is also the start of another weekly challenge too.

The theme for the challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES!

The new stamp set that we are showing you today is 

called I WANT CANDY by artist Neda Sadreddin.

Oh my goodness I LOVE this one!  The kiddos are 

so cute in their halloween costumes!  And the sentiments

are perfect for the images too!  Take a look

My card today features the adorable young man and the

NEW CREEPY COBWEB stencil and SPOOKY DOTS.

The spider web was inked with Granite Gray KKS ink. 

The sentiment is stamped in Purple Petunia ink for an extra pop. 

Today is the day that you can get your favorite stamps and
products from this release right after the LIVE ON-LINE RELEASE
Party in the Krafty Friends Facebook Group.  The fun starts
at 2 pm and Kimmie loads up the shop right after that.

August 2019 New Release Peeks DAY THREE - Monster Mash

Welcome back to DAY THREE of the August 2019

sneak peeks for KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

Have you been enjoying the peeks for the first couple

of days?  August is always such a fun month because

of the halloween theme - and this one is especially awesome.
Hope you are having as much fun seeing as I am sharing!

Today we have a very fun and funky set called

MONSTER MASH by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen

For me it's like playing with spooky paper dolls,

so many fun combinations that you can make with this set.


I made a funny and furry fella who kind of reminds me of a
combination of Sully and Mike from Monster's Inc.
(LOVED that movie).  I think he's just a scream - LOL!

I found this Doodlebug Designs paper in my stash
and thought it was perfect for this image.  Just too fun!
At the time I took this photo I hadn't finished the inside yet.
I chose one of the sentiments from the NEW PUMPKIN KISSES
from yesterday's release.  Such an awesome month!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - August 2019 NEW Release sneak peeks DAY TWO

Hello! It's DAY TWO of the August 2019

New Release Sneak Peeks from 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!


Today we have an awesome fall/halloween sentiment
set that's sure to be a must have in your collection.
The fonts are so neat - and I LOVE the larger scale!
It's called PUMPKIN KISSES by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen.


I combined one of the halloween sentiments with another
image from yesterday's new release set SCAREDY CATS.
That beautiful spooky green glow was made with the new
GOBLIN GREEN hybrid ink.  Of course, I also had to
add some of the SPOOKY DOTS too.  (I honestly think I
might be addicted to using enamel dots as an accent on my cards).

Hang on to your halloween hats, brooms, pointy shoes

because there's another day of peeks coming tomorrow

and I guarantee that you will love it!

August 2019 New Release Peeks DAY ONE - SCAREDY CATS

Whoo Hoo!  It's time for us to start the

Sneak Peeks for the FABoolous new Release

stamp sets for August from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

August is traditionally the Halloween release.

So if you love Halloween hang on to your hats

cause I'm pretty sure you are going to be blown

away from the cuteness of this month's stamps,

stencils, ink and enamel dots!!!

First up is SCAREDY CATS by artist Neda Sadreddin!

This is such an adorable cat and halloween set. Look at those big eyes!


My peek card features a couple of these not so spooky kitties
and the NEW BATS & MOONS STENCIL.  I ran the
stencil through my die cut machine to get the embossed pattern
on the back ground piece.  I almost hated to cover up so much
of it with the top panel because it turned out so fun.

There's a few of the fun new SPOOKY DOTS on here too.  

The LIVE Release Party will be on Saturday at 2 pm EST

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #405 - Halloween

Hey hey everyone! Welcome to another challenge 
at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

The theme for Challenge #405 is HALLOWEEN! 
I know there are LOTS of you crafty folks out there who LOVE
making halloween items, gifts, cards, etc. 
You can make a card, a treat, a scrapbook page, a 3-D project
or any other creation as long as it is clearly Halloween related!
And...Kraftin' Kimmie has LOTS of stamp sets that
are perfect for you to use! 

I'm making a bunch of treat bags for the people I work with.
I started with a plain muslin bag and stamped all over it
with some of the accessory stamps from MINI MONSTERS
(one of my new all time favorite clear sets)
then I added a sweet little tag using one of the monsters.

 here's another photo at a slightly different angle

After I made this bag I had all kinds of ideas swirling in my head
for different variations of how I could stamp and present this.
Each little bag fits about 5 mini candy bars in it.
I'm only showing you one for now because  I have about 8 of them
to finish still. But really they are so fun and easy that I
am really going to enjoy making them!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - Wonderful Wednesday ANYTHING GOES

Hey hey hey Happy Wednesday!!

Do you know what that means (other than you are that much

closer to the weekend)?  It means that it's time for another

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE

at Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges!  Whoot!

The weekly Wednesday challenges are ALWAYS

Anything Goes!  That's right...any theme, any colors,

any type of project (in good taste of course).  

Today my card features one of the not too spooky

images from the TRICK OR EAT - RE-RELEASE

stamp set.  I used a sentiment from GRIM GRETCHEN

to cover us a very bad booboo (ugh!) and am happy

with the combo of the two stamps.  Take a little look:

 I was actually quite thrilled with myself because I used papers, 

ribbon and the gauze flower all from my stash.  And aside from moving 

my panels around a hundred times and then deciding that the 

card was too "clean" for a spooky image and halloween card 

(so I added some distress inks) - the card came together pretty quickly :o).  

We love when you show us your krafty stuff using

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps but it's not a requirement.  

We really would just love for you to play along with us!

Fall is now upon us so the theme this week

I love love love the colors of fall - especially

pumpkins!  My card today features one of the stamps

from the the ever so sweet (and not spooky) clear stamp set 

called MINI MONSTERS with some fun fall
Doodlebug Design papers and some distress inks.
  

I seriously just can't get enough of these adorable little monsters!

In fact I'll be doing a live color along in the

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - #400 Distress It

Oh yaaaaaa it's Saturday and time for another

new challenge at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE!

The theme for challenge #400 is DISTRESS IT. 

Our hostess Mindy wants to see you use distress inks. 
Ohhhh what fun - right!

Distress oxides are all the rage right now and I can 

sure see why.  I only have 4 colors but have decided I 

need more (okay maybe want is the more appropriate word).

I've used one of my favorite stamps sets from this month's 

new release - MINI MONSTERS :o).

and went with a dark and creepy feel (this image just had
me so inspired to venture into the dark side lol!).

Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Komeback - Trick or Eat

The Krafty Vault at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is being opened again!

As you know some of the older stamp sets have been retired 

and have been hard to find for quite some time. 

Today Kimmie is re-releasing TWO rubber sets

BOOTYLICIOUS and TRICK OR EAT!

These awesome sets come as completely unmounted pre-trimmed 

natural red rubber!  These sets have NOW been released and are
 in the shop right now!  These were very popular sets so I have
a feeling that they are going to get snatched up quick ;o)

I absolutely love this spooky sweet set!

here's a close up of this image and the glitter bow (which has now

spread glitter all over my entire craft room).

Another Krafty Komeback at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Witchy Poo

Hello and happy Friday!
Today at Kraftin' Kimmie we have a special
surprise for you.  The next stamp set to make a
Krafty Komeback in clear rubber is ...
WITCHYPOO!


I loved the original version so much  that I just can't give her
up even though the new version is absolutely terrific too!
Hmmm....maybe I'll have to get both :o).

For now though I dusted off the original version,
colored her up with my copic markers,
and added a sentiment from WITCH WILLA
(I'm sure they must be friends - lol).  I used the August
sketch as inspiration for my design (see below)


And here's the finished creation :o)
