Best of Cluck - SugarPea Designs Mix it Up Challenge #27

Happy Monday sweet friends!
I'm back again to share a second card
This card was made using the super sweet
Best of Cluck stamp set (and coordinating dies).
I knew as soon as I saw this set that I had
to have it!  But it has been sitting in my
"waiting to be inked" stash (very sad) for several
months until now.  I also had these really
pretty papers from the
Countryside Charm Patterned Paper Collection
in my stash as well.  I'm so excited to have
made this card and to have checked two items off
my crafty New Year's resolution :o)
and here's the inside too
Oh my gosh...doesn't that broken egg just
crack you up (pun intended)?!

I am entering this card in these challenges as well:

My design layout was from MOJO Monday #479
(now closed)

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me today!
Hope your Monday was fantastic and the rest of
your week even better.  Hugs! D

Hello sweet friends and followers!
It's Saturday and time for another fun
challenge theme for you at

This week we would like to see you use
Non-Traditional Christmas Colors.

My favorite non-traditional color for
Christmas creations is pink.
What do you like to use instead of
the traditional red and green?

This sweet little elf is from the adorable set
called Treat Yours-Elf.  The pretty plaid papers
are from Lawn Fawn.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

for my card (with a mirrored orientation).

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - Wonderful Wednesday Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday sweet friends and followers!
Pat yourself on the back because you have now
made it to mid work week and are now on the
down hill slide to the weekend - whoo hoo!

It's time for another Wonderful Wednesday
The theme on Wonderful Wednesday is
ALWAYS Anything Goes (except release week).

I'm playing with one of my favorite NEW
stamp sets that was just released this weekend
called Harvest Blessings (by artist Becky Pearce)
Such a fun and adorable set!
I LOVE anything to do with pumpkins -
the color, the shape, the way they symbolize
fall and Thanksgiving. Oh and of course
pumpkin beer, bread, pie, muffins, lattes... :o)

I'm really trying to take better photos.  It always seems as if
something is off a bit though.  If it's not the lighting, it's the
angle or in this case the camera focused on the wrong part
of the card and the main image isn't as crisp as I would have
liked.  Oh well, by the time I got home and discovered it
wasn't perfect it was too dark out to try another photo.
So...I'm embracing this as it is.  And I hope you like it!

My design comes from the great sketch at
MOJO Monday #461 which I varied just a bit

I'm also entering the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #188 - anything goes
Craft Your Passion Challenges #325 - Always Anything Goes

I hope you will join us this week!
We want EVERYONE to be able to play along so your
submission can use ANY stamp and can be any theme,
any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page,
an altered item....you name it! It must be a NEW creation
and you can enter until August 23rd at midnight!
At the end of the month one random winner will be
chosen from all the submissions for the whole month
and will receive a $20 Gift Card to the shop!!!
What do you think.....wanna WIN?? Let's see your krafty stuff!!

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me today!
Til next time...hugs and happy kraftin'! D

Catch the Bug Challenges - June Anything Goes

Hello friends and followers!
Wow! How is it even possible that it's the first
weekend of June?  Seriously it just floors me!
Sometimes I have to giggle at myself because I hear
my grandma's voice coming out of my mouth
as I talk about how fast time flies - but it really
does seem to lately :o)  And...she was a really
sweet and wonderful lady so I don't mind
sounding like her at all!

So...it's time for another weekly challenge
at CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGES
and the theme is ANYTHING GOES.

I made a tall and skinny card (3.75" x 6 1/2")
using cupcake tray (colored w/copics)

To make this card size you need a cardstock base
sized 6 1/2 " x 7 1/2" and score at 3 3/4" on the longest side.
The layout is based on the current sketch

I'd also like to enter these challenges:
(Sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps)
Seize the Birthday Challenges - June 2nd "Its a Sunshiny Day"

I hope you find some time to get crafty this weekend and
play along with us at Catch the Bug Challenges.
Thanks so much for popping in today.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge - Mermaid Friends & Oceans of Love

Happy Wednesday crafty friends and followers!
I'm not sure if I think this week is going by slowly or too fast.
Too fast for all the crafty projects I want to get done
and too slow for the weekend to be here - LOL.

But here's the best news about today...it's time
for another fun Wonderful Wednesday challenge

The theme as it always is for the Wednesday challenges
is ANYTHING GOES!  Who doesn't like that right?!
You can make any type of project with any theme
and use any stamp or crafty medium you wish.
Just have fun with it and share it with us for an
opportunity to win some Krafty $ to spend in the
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps store - whoo hoo!!

My card today uses one of the brand newest
stamps from the beautiful MERMAID FRIENDS
and a sentiment from OCEANS OF LOVE (currently
sold out but will be back soon) - take a look:

I've been seeing the use of vellum a lot lately so I thought
I'd pull some out of my stash and play with it at bit
Those waves are actually the puffy cloud border dies from
Your Next Stamp.  I think it turned out kind of fun ;o).

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday #449 this week
(as you can see I flipped the orientation of it though)
for the layout.  I also wanted to play along with
the current challenge at 613 Avenue Create #177
which is Anything Goes w/optional twist of
Create your Own Challenge Series.  I used
the A2 Card type, Thinking of you as the event, and
gold/metallic and sequins for the trends part of the challenge.
I would also like to enter this in these challenges too:
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenges #109 - Just Us Girls

So that's it for me today. I'm sure glad you stopped
in to visit me!  Hope your Wednesday is great and it
goes by as fast or as slow as you like it to :o)
Til next time...krafty hugs! D

Hello krafty peeps!
Here it is almost the end of February already. Wow!
I wonder how many of us will struggle with writing the

a February 29th.  Today is my nephew's birthday.
Good thing he came when he did or he'd only be
5 years old instead of 20 - LOL!

Today I have a card to share with you that I made
from some of the papers and embellishments from
the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps limited edition
Spring Kard Kit which features this adorable

My Time to Craft #305 - Alice in Wonderland

Hello sweet crafting friends!
Here it is the last weekend of September already - my how time flies!
I'm really relishing the fall weather - my favorite time of year.

The challenge this next two weeks at MY TIME TO CRAFT
is Inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
My card today features that little white rabbit that is always
running around saying 'I'm late...I'm late!"  My friends and
family know that I can definitely identify with that statement - LOL!

I kept it pretty simple this week and didn't add any embellishments
as I really was late in getting my card done this week.  Let's just
say it was one of the craziest weeks I've had in a while and I
am totally exhausted!  Thankfully with such a darling image
(from Bugaboo Stamps) and a great sketch (from MOJO Monday #418)
it's easy to get it together rather quickly.

I'd also like to enter this in

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today.
I hope that you will go see what the rest of my lovely teamies
have made for your inspiration too!  Would love to see your
own creation in our gallery this time too!

newest challenge at MY TIME TO CRAFT.
Wow! You loved our last challenge theme of flowers
with over 100 entries! Let's see if you like this one as much!

The theme for MTTC Challenge #304 is Owls.  Very popular and on
trend right now.  I found an image by Bugaboo Stamps that now only
meets this theme but also shows my love of coffee.
Take a look:

Hahahaha - that's how I look in the morning sometime
before my first 2 cups of joe!  I used the sketch from
MOJO Monday #414 for my layout.

I'd also like to enter this at Papertake Weekly for "Things with Wings".

Thanks so much for visiting me today! The rest of my lovely teammates

Wonderful Wednesday at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Hello sweet friends - and a special shout out to my newest
follower Patry Ro! Happy to have you along in my creative journey.

Today is Wednesday so you know what that means don't ya??
(besides being half way through most of your normal work weeks)
It's time for another Wonderful Wednesday Challenge

As always....the theme is ANYTHING GOES!!

I'm still playing with one of the NEW June stamp sets
called "Let's Roll Dude!"  Love this fun masculine set - take a look:

I bought this great tool that cuts the shanks (backs) off of plastic
buttons. Oh My Gosh...what a fabulous tool!! I have always struggled
with how to put those types of buttons on my creations and have it lay
right and not require extra special postage/packaging to send it
because of the bulk.  I'm so excited to be able to use FUN buttons
like this now ( "Tool Time" buttons are in the KK Store)!
These great  "guy" papers (and coordinating enamel dots)  are from the
Echo Park 6x6 paper pad called "Jack and Jill -Boy" (also from KK Store).

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
MOJO Monday 402 (see sketch below - which I modified
to be a square card instead of a regular A2 size).

The Corrosive Challenge Blog #226 - Pile it On!
Crafting for All Seasons #104 - "It's a Boy Thing"
Crazy 4 Challenges - #290 - masculine
Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge #156 - Masculine theme

Did you know....
that ALL of the NEW June stamps are live in the Krafty Store?
That KK will be releasing another Limited Edition Krafty Kard Kit soon
featuring a special stamp by artist, Annie Rodrigue PLUS LOTS of other goodies
including designer papers from Echo Park, colourful Bazzill cardstocks,
trim, twine, flowers, and other fun embellishments!  If you want one,
you'd better snap one up because there are a very limited number available!

more details and information.

I hope that you will join us this week for Wonderful Wednesday!!
We want EVERYONE to be able to play along so your submission can use
ANY stamp and can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card,
a scrapbook page, an altered item....you name it as long as it is a NEW creation!

MOJO Monday #400

Hello friends and followers - so happy you are here to visit me today!
I mentioned a few posts back that I have several graduation cards to make
for family and friends.  I used the MOJO Monday #400 sketch this week

to help me get one of my cards done - take a look:

I love how quickly this card came together (bonus)!
I printed off a digital stamp from Stampin' Up and used
an oval die cut for the shape (cutting off the overhang on the bottom).
I had scraps of left over paper from 3 years ago with the felt mortar
boards (graduation caps) that I snipped out as an additional embellishment
and added a few candy dots.  Viola - done! Well... except for the gift :o)

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges as well:
Alphabet Challenge Blog - "H" is for Hats and/or Handbags
Clear it Out Challenges: Theme/Anything Goes and Stash/You Choose
(my stash is the cap from the paper scraps and the candy dots)
4 Crafty Chicks #249 - Graduation
The Crafter's Cafe - #119: School's Out/Graduation

So off I go to enjoy my weekend and do a little more crafting!
Still have 4 cards to finish for the parties we are going to over the next week.
Better get busy! Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

My Time to Craft #280 - Lace {I Hope You Dance}

Hello sweet friends and followers.
I'm here today to share my DT card for
My Time to Craft #280 - Lace.

I just happened to have a little lace laying around in my ribbon box
(ahem...a little might really be a lot - just saying) so I was
thrilled with this week's theme to be able to use some of it :o).
The sentiment is from a brand NEW Release from Kraftin' Kimmie
called "Hello, Friend" - I just LOVE this saying!
It's a good reminder to embrace those opportunities
for happiness and to try new things.

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday #385

I'm also entering this card in these challenges:

Oh Christmas Tree...MTTC272

Hello friends and followers,
and a special hello to my newest follower Linda.

Today I have a card to share with you
for the last challenge of 2014 at My Time to Craft (MTTC).
Then we will take a small break and be back for the new year.
MTTC #272 is "Christmas Tree".
We'd like to see your beautiful creations
with the focus on a Christmas tree.

Here's my DT card:

This year my Christmas tree has a bunch of
large burlap poinsettias in tan and sparkly red
and sprigs of berries poked through the branches
here and there.  Only a few rustic ornaments
(reindeer and and owl at the top).  My daughter and I love it.
But...my son came home for Christmas break
and said "Hey, where are all of our handmade
ornaments?" "This isn't very fun and festive".
Oh brother! Guess you can't please 'em all :o)

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
 MOJO Monday Sketch #376
and

My lovely DT pals at MTTC have also made some
gorgeous Christmas Tree creations to share with you.
Please go visit them as well and then I hope
you decide to make one more card to share with
us this year.

Til next time friends...hugs and merry crafting! D

MTTC #267 - Christmas Decoupage

Hello sweet friends and followers, so happy you're here to visit.
Time for another weekly challenge over at My Time to Craft (MTTC)
MTTC #267 is Christmas Decoupage.
It can be traditional or stamped decoupage.

If you're like me you just said "what the heck is that?".
I had only heard of the version where you glue
paper onto wood with a glossy finish over the top
(that was ages ago when I was a little girl).
Here's a definition of this process that I found:

Decoupage—from the French word découper, meaning to cut out—
is a craft or art form that entails pasting cut-outs (typically paper) to an object
and then covering with several coats of lacquer or varnish.
The process gives flat cut-outs the appearance of depth.

I really wasn't sure how that would work with card making.
But as luck would have it, I was perusing through
a local craft store last weekend and came upon
a Papercrafting magazine that was offering a free decoupage
set and flocking with purchase.  Score!!
It even had instruction as to how to layer the paper images.
Happy dancing - that was me :o)

So...here's what I made using one of the freebie decoupage images
for my DT card for MTTC 267 - Christmas Decoupage

It was really kind of fun to do! There are 5 different layers on this image -
that last one being the arm that is holding the package.
Can you see the spots of flocking that I added as well?
All kinds of new stuff going on here for me :o)

If you haven't tried this technique yet it would be a great
opportunity to do so and enter the challenge at MTTC.
My lovely and talented DT pals have made some really
gorgeous Christmas decoupage creations to share with you
as well. Please go visit them and be inspired!

I am entering the following challenges:

Brown Sugar Challenge #120- Anything Goes
(3 or more layers, 2 designer papers, 1 image)
Love to Create Challenges #141 "Anything Goes"
Jingle Belles - The Great Outdoors

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Happy Halloween from Zephyr McBroom

Happy Friday all!
I have a fun Halloween card to share with you that I made for the
Kit and Clowder Colouring Competition
(in the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group)
Zephyr McBroom by Rick St Dennis.

Here's my card:
I really had to resist the temptation to color her face
in normal skin tones - was afraid I wouldn't get the shading
to look right. But I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Sure glad I've taken some of Alyce's colouring classes!
Even though I haven't gotten through all the lessons I feel so
much more comfortable with my colouring skills.

This image brings back fun memories for me because I
always wanted to be a "pretty" witch for Halloween.
(Mostly so I could wear lots of makeup and a black wig - LOL).

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
MOJO Monday 364 (using this great sketch)

The Stamping Chef Challenge #48 Anything Goes
The Corrosive Challenge #208 - Autumn/Fall
Paper Pretties - Halloween/Fall
Brown Sugar Challenge Blog Challenge #113 Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

52CCT - September 2014 Color Challenge {Warm Winter Wishes}

Hello dear friends and followers - happy weekend!
This 2nd week of September our hostess at 52CCT, Asha,
has chosen a terrific COLOR Challenge

To help you interpret this chart we want you to use
Red  OR  Blue  +  Black  AND  White  +  Silver  OR  Gold.

You may use various shades of Red (such as burgundy, poppy, crimson, scarlet, excluding pink) OR Blue (royal blue, sky blue, cornflower blue, navy excluding purple).

We have a fabulous sponsor this week again - Deedee's Digis -
and some of the team will be using digi images on their cards.

I chose to use Red, Black and White and Gold
with one of Deedee's darling images called "Snowman Tags".
Take a look:

I did something that I seldom do...
hand wrote my sentiment.
Hmmm...not too sure about that part, but it's done so I'll be okay with it.
Thankfully I'm happy with how the rest of the card turned out :o)

I'm entering the following challenges with my card:
MOJO Monday #362 (sketch)
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge Choose R or E or D
(My R is the color red, E for embossing and D for die (heart))

The rest of the lovely ladies on the 52CCT DT  have made some wonderful
Christmas creations using Asha's color challenge.  I hope that you will go
