2017 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.
It's only the 3rd day of this fun hop and there are already

BEARY MERRY (and coordinating dies).
The sentiment is from Santa's Wonderland.
I colored the bear on kraft paper with copics and then
used the coordinating die.  The paper is from my Doodlebug
Designs stash - I love to use pink on my Christmas cards.

I'm also entering the following challenges:
I used Sketch #403 from September for my layout

Thanks again for visiting me!  I'll have one more post in the
morning with some special coffee/cocoa treat bags and tags
to share with you but for now I need to be off to bed
for my beauty rest.  Tomorrow I'll also start hopping myself

Chilly Christmas Wishes

Hello friends and followers.

It's really looking like Christmas at my house.
We have our tree and Christmas decorations up.
This is the earliest I have done it in about 15 years!
The Christmas decorating then turned into a massive
clean out of the storage closet area - UGH!
This then led me to exclaim "I am NEVER purchasing another
Christmas decoration". Which I quickly revised to say  "At least not
until I get rid of some more stuff".  LOL.
Hmmm... I think I've said that about my crafting supplies too.

I'm back again with another card to share with you
that I am using as my third entry
for the Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Guest contest.
Kimmie says we can enter as many times as we like
(until the 14th of December).  I LOVE Kraftin' Kimmie stamps
so much that I just can't help myself!  I really
would like to be a Krafty Guest Designer again.
So...I figure it can't hurt my chances by
entering as many times as I can - he he.

Here's my card:
Stamp & sentiment from "Just Chillin'!" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Since I plan to give this card to someone right away
I finished the inside (often I don't finish the inside until later).
Sentiment from "Christmas Cheer" and penguin from "Just Chillin'"

I CASEd Krafty Gal Tracy's style on this -
she often stamps an image from the set on the
inside of the card too.  Fun huh?

Aren't these little penguins just about
the cutest thing you ever saw?

Confession time...both the stamp set and papers are new
and I haven't yet gotten rid of anything else.
What??? Did I say I wouldn't buy anything else
until I got rid of something first?? No Way!
I mean how could I help myself when this is so stinkin' cute?
I guess I should never say NEVER - hahahaha!

Okay so enough from me for now.
I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Kraftin Kimmie - Wonderful Wednesday Challenge (Dec)
Kylie is Addicted to Stamps - Christmas Card challenge
4 Crafty Chicks #223 Animals
MOJO Monday #374 Contest
Merry Monday #137 - Use a Bird
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' Challenges - Things With Wings
Winter Wonderland - North or South Pole
Kit and Clowder - December Challenge - Animals
The Outlawz - Twisted Thursday Challenges - Christmas Magic

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me again today!

MTTC#269 - Snowman

Hello again dear friends and followers.
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
I will be doing some of mine today.
Not looking forward to the crowds
but am looking forward to enjoying some
time with my sweet daughter.

It's time for another weekly challenge at
My Time to Craft Challenges (MTTC).
This week's theme works really well
with both the cold snowy weather we are getting
and the upcoming Christmas holiday.
MTTC #269 is Snowman (or men)
or Snow ladies if you prefer :o)

Here's my DT card:

This is a bit larger than I usually make.
Finished size is 6 x 6.
Funny story... it didn't start out being
nearly that big but after I got all my
patterned papers glued down I went to
open the card to decorate the inside
only to discover that I had glued everything
on the card base upside down.
Oh for pity sake!!
Have you every done that?
So... I had to cut it apart at the seam
and then add that piece to another base.
It's a good solid (heavy) card
that will probably cost me a fortune to mail
LOL!!

I am entering this card in the following challenges;
Brown Sugar Challenges #122 - Anything Goes
The Outlawz - Friday Coloring challenge - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant Challenge #278 - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge #85 - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too #75 - Snow
Penny's Paper-Crafting Challenges #205 - Anything Goes
Paper Pretties Challenge  PWC338- Snow Much Fun
Sketch Saturday - Pick a Previous (I used #337)

Please go visit the rest of the lovely ladies
on the MTTC DT and see their gorgeous Snowman
creations this week as well.  Hope to see
your Snowman creation in the gallery too.

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - February Color Challenge #14

Happy February ya' all!  As the hostess at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown for this second week in February I have chosen a non-traditional color scheme.  I have to tell you that when I initially picked these colors I had something quite different in mind than what I ended up making. Here's my card:

and the inside:

I do like how it turned out and I have lots of other ideas for this somewhat unusual and non-traditional color scheme for Christmas cards.  I added some sponged color around all the layers to give it a little depth (seemed a bit too plain or flat to me without it).  What do you think?  Is it too odd of a color combo or are you up to the challenge?

Please go visit the site and see what the rest of the DT has come up with.  I hope you will decide to join us this week at 52CCT!   Til next time... Hugs and Happy Crafting!

Snowflake tree for 5 challenges {inspired by Hallmark}

Supplies: Cardstock -whisper white, gumball green and pixie pink (retired) all SU.,
Dies - Bitty Banners and Northern Frost (snowflakes, retired).
Punch - miscellaneous snowflake punches that I've had forever.
Rhinestones - retired SU special set from a past holiday mini
DSP - Be of Good cheer.  Stamp - Teeny Tiny Wishes

Hello friends!   My card today was inspired by a Hallmark flyer I got in the mail (see below).
See the card in the middle made with the snowflakes? That's where my inspiration started.  Before I started making cards myself, I spent quite a bit of money on those Hallmark cards.  I still think they're beautiful but now I look at them and think "Hmmm... I should try that...I'll bet I could do that".

Our challenge for you this week at 'ABC' Challenges is to make a card with Snow, Snowflakes or a Snowman on it, so I thought now was the perfect time to give it a go.  I'm pleased with how it turned out, but I wouldn't want to mass produce this, it took me forever to place my snowflakes just where I wanted them.   Here's a closer look at my snowflakes:

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Sweet Stampin' Challenges - Dies and/or Punches.
My Time to Craft Challenge #200- None traditional colors (pink is my favorite NT color to use).
Divas by Design #64 - Let it Snow
Paper Play Challenges Week 49 - "Christmas is Coming".

Can  you believe it will be here soon!! I've hardly started by Christmas shopping but have a great stock of cards to send out this year (that's my project for tomorrow).  I hope you will decide to join us this week at 'ABC' Challenges.  Myself and the rest of the DT really enjoy visiting many of your blogs and getting lots of inspiration from you each week - please keep playing along with us, we love it!  Speaking of inspiration, there's plenty more to be had from the other DT gals so pop on over there and see what they've made to share with and inspire you!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit - I'm sure glad that you did. Til next time... Hugs and happy crafting!!

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - Color Challenge

Hello friends - we have a fabulous non-traditional color challenge this week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - Color Challenge #11.  If you have been following my blog at all you will have noticed that I LOVE to use pink in my Christmas cards so I was excited that this is our color combo this week.  The color of pink that is in the button in the inspiration photo above also happens to be my favorite color.  So...how are you doing on your Christmas cards?  Are you feeling like you are pretty caught up - or are you just deciding to get started?  Playing along with us at 52CCT each week will help you keep caught up, or get you started - depending on which spot you are currently in - so I hope that you will join us!! Here's what I came up with this week (WARNING - lots of pink below):
I started out thinking that I was going to do a CAS (clean and simple) type card but then got carried away with stamping my doily snowflakes and before long it wasn't CAS at all.  I really struggle with CAS cards for some reason - sorry I digress. I embossed the larger snowflakes with Early Espresso and just stamped the smaller ones and punched out for a bit for dimension and effect.  I forgot initially that I needed to use a little white or cream too so managed to get that in before I finished it.  I love how my fellow DT member Mynnette uses bling on most of her cards (and how she groups the bling) so I made an attempt to give it a go too with the brown rhinestones. So... a busy card but my 12 year daughter told me she thinks it an elegant card - so I'm pretty happy about that :o)  Hope you like it too and that I've inspired you to play along with us this week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown.  There's lots more inspiration to be found from our other DT members on the challenge site so pop on over there and check it out.  Til next time - Hugs and Happy Crafting!!

Supplies (all from Stampin Up! except the rhinestones): Cardstock - Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and Early Espresso.  Stamps - Delicate Doilies and Border Banter (sentiment).   Brown Rhinestones - Close to My Heart (thanks Beth!).

52{Christmas} Card Throwdown - Theme Challenge #10 {Fairy Lights}

Hello and Happy Saturday to all of you!! Today's challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown is a Theme Challenge (see below)
Oh goodness what a fun theme - as usual so many possibilities to be explored and created! Here's what I came up with for your inspiration this week:
I decided it might be fun to go completely non-traditional in my color choice this week.  I've been seeing a lot about neon lately as a popular trend so I thought I'd give that a go.  I first colored my images with Copic markers and then added a drop of Crystal Effects to each little light to give it some shine and depth (it doesn't show up nearly as well in the photo as it does in real life ). I love their happy little faces :o)  way too cute.

I encourage you to pop on over to our challenge site at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown and see the other fabulous creations our DT members have come up with for this theme.  Pop on into their blogs and leave them a note when you see what you like.  Hope you'll decide to play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.

I'm also entering this card in the Christmas Cards All Year Round October Challenge which is to
Create a card using a non traditional image with traditional Christmas colours
OR
Create a card with a traditional Christmas image using non traditional colours.
I think you have figured out which one I'm entering under (hint... its neon :o) ).

Til next time - Hugs and Happy Crafting!! Please come back to visit again.

Supplies: Stamp and sentiment - Cozy Christmas from Lawn Fawn.  Cardstock - Pixie Pink (retired Stampin Up!), Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White (both SU).  Ink - Memento black, Green Galore (retired), Pixie Pink (retired) and Tempting Turquoise (all SU).  Embossing folder (SU). Other - Crystal Effects (SU).
