Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges Wonderful Wednesday - Sept 6th 2017

Hello everyone!
Maybe you've noticed that things have been a bit quiet
on my blog for the past couple months.
I took some time off crafting and blogging
to catch up on some life kind of stuff
and enjoy the summer while my son and his
fiance lived with us while in transition.
But now I'M BACK and so excited to be
crafting again!  What better way to get things started
again than to use the ANYTHING GOES theme
for WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY at
Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges.

I hadn't used my colored pencils for quite a while
so I pulled them out along with the adorable
stamp set called LULU'S WHEELS

I love this sweet stamp and the sense of adventure
it makes me imagine.  Road trip anyone?
Where would you go if you could just get in the car and drive?

Come play along with us this week.
Each month all the entries from all the challenges
receive a chance (for each time entered) to win
a fantastic prize of $20 to spend in the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop.

Ohhhhh and I also want to tell you that next week is
Release Week of the brand NEW September clear
stamps and I think you are going to love, love, love
them.  Here's a hint...they are spooky and fun :o)

Thanks for stopping in to visit me today!
Go get krafty and share your creation(s) with us :o)
Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #379 "Summer"

Hello wonderful crafty peeps!
It's the last Saturday of April already - wow!
Do you have any fun weekend plans?
It's supposed to be cold here so I made a big pot
of homemade vegetable beef soup. I'm not excited
about the cold - in fact I really am ready for the
warmer weather.  But the rain is making things green
and I do love homemade soup on a cold day :o).

I have a card to share with you that I made for
Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #379 where the theme
this week is SUMMER!  Oh I am really looking
forward to summer! Sunshine, flowers, popsicles,
time at the lake, warm weather, green grass,
flip flops, and bbq time with family.

My card today features one of the beautiful lasses
from  the KKS clear stamp set called Tweetie Birds.
I used lots of flowers on my card (and in the dsp) because
summer to me means flowers, sunshine & birds singing!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges as well:

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
I hope you will come join us this week and share you own
beautiful creation with a Summer theme.
Hugs! D

4 Crafty Chicks Challenges {4CC #343} - Punches or Dies

Wow! The month of March is just well...
Marching right along!  I can't believe there's only
two weeks left of it already!
Soon it will be Easter!

This week the theme challenge at
4CC #343 (chosen by Lori) is Punches or Dies!
Ohhhh this is a favorite one for me!
I love to use both as often as I can!
Especially dies that coordinate with stamped images
such as these adorable "Peep" bunnies that  I used on my card
The bunnies are from last year's Simon Says Stamp March
stamp kit (yes it took me that long to actually use it - shameful!).
The stitched panels are from dies (Lawn Fawn) as are the bunnies
and their bows (Simon Says Stamp).  The grass is a punch
(Martha Stewart)  which I then ran the punched strip through
the Big Shot again with the stitched rectangle for the bottom part.
The plaid paper (Echo Park) and sequins were also in the kit.
The pretty springy inks are from Stampin' Up!

Here's the finished inside too

Peeps on cards are really the only type of Peeps I like.
I think I ate too many of them once when I was young
and haven't been able to touch them since - lol.
But I sure do think they make cute Easter cards!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
(I did use the twist)
(I used 3 dies and 1 punch)

Thanks so much for visiting me today!
See you again soon! Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - March NEW Release Blog Hop

Hello! I'm so happy you are here because I'm taking
part in a Blog Hop celebration for the fabulous
new release stamps at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE!
What a fun month of awesome spring themed stamps!

ALL the SIX new clear stamp sets are now available in the
Kraftin' Kimmie Shop and we're celebrating with a Krafty HOP!
So grab a nice hot beverage, sit back and relax while you hop
around and enjoy all the amazing creations from the
Krafty Design Team and Guests!

My card for today uses the super sweet spring/Easter set
from artist Cheryl Grant BLESSINGS OF PEACE!

I had lots of fun with this card.  That sweet little lamb
was a snap to color with my copics.  I masked around him
sponged through a stencil for the background pattern.
Then I added the punched grass and the die cut clouds
sentiment (layered) and sun.  I think this could be a
sweet design for a baby card as well.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges
Just Us Girls (JUGS) #384 - Trend Week "Use a Stencil"

Jo's Scrap Shack Fun Friday Challenge #179 "anything goes"
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #232 Make Your Mark
4 Crafty Chicks Challenges #341 - Spring Fever with Sponging
Craft Rocket Challenges #34 - No Patterned Paper
If You Give a Crafter A Cookie #64 photo inspiration

I Love You a Bushel and a Peck - Valentine {SugarPea Designs}

Hello and happy hearts day!
I had a good day celebrating the ones I love
and feeling loved myself :o)
Hope you did too!

This is the card I made for my daughter for
Valentine's Day and to celebrate how very much
I love her sweet self :o)

This little sweetie is from SugarPea Designs
called "A Bushel and a Peck" and I colored her with copics.
I made the main card panel using a brayer and then a
stitched rectangle die once it was dry.  It had been sitting
on my craft  desk for quite a while so I decided it wasa
time to use it and the color was perfect for Valentine's day.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenges #28 "Lots of Love"
(my inspiration was the pink and the LOVE theme"

Pile it on Challenges #126 "hearts on fire"
Just Us Girls JUGS #380 - Trend Week "Hearts"

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me today!
Hugs to you! D

Sweet Valentine's Love

Happy Valentine's Day crafty friends!
Hope you had a wonderful day and felt very loved.
I made some sweet little valentine's treats for
my staff and co-workers.  First there are these:

These tags (using Stampin' Up! tag punch) are a CASE of some
adorable CAS valentines that I saw on the SugarPea Designs Blog
by Tracey McNeely who used the Barn to Be Wild stamp set
and coordinating dies,  Click on the link above to see Tracey's
creations that inspired me.

And I also made these ones using a sweet little stamp set
from Neat and Tangled called "My Favorite Nut"
I stamped on Kraft paper with a brown ink and
then filled in the sweet squirrel with copics.  The
one darker brown tag I tried colored pencils on
just to see how it would look.  I put a piece of cardstock
matting on the back of each panel so the coloring
wouldn't show through, and wrote a little message on the back.

I found the jars and twine in the $1 bin at Target. SCORE!
The jars are filled with conversation hearts, sweet tart hearts
and valentine M&Ms.  I can tell you that these were a hit today!
I love to make people happy :o)

I'd like to enter the barnyard tags in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - CUTE
Pile it On Challenges #126 "Hearts on Fire"
Addicted to CAS Challenge #104 "Pets"
(I hope barnyard pets count)
Come and Get it Challenges - Love is in the Air
Stampin' Sensations Challenges - February "Animal Magic"

I'd like the enter the squirrel tags in these challenges:

I'm glad you stopped in to visit me today!
Have an awesome day today and rest of the week.
Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #355 - Lots of Layers

Hello sweet friends and followers!
Happy "nearly" Halloween!
It's the last Saturday of October (how does that happen so fast?!)
and time for a new weekly theme at
Larisa is our krafty hostess and she wants to see us
use "Lots of Layers".  Ohhhh I LOVE this theme!

If your style is usually a CAS or One layer this could be a
fun challenge for you to stretch yourself. Or... if you
already love layers (as I do) this is right up your crafty alley ;o).

I choose to make a Halloween card because I still needed two
more cards for a couple special people  (AND I STILL need
to get them mailed - gulp)! I often wonder how it is that I
make so many cards over the course of a year and yet am often
late getting them sent out to my family and friends.
Do you do that too?  It's kind of embarrassing really :o/

Anyhoo...here's my lots of layers halloween card
using the super sweet (and not too spooky) stamp
set called "HAPPY OWL-OWEEN"
I used my favorite paper line of Doodlebug design
and several die cuts and punches for my layers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenges - Anything Goes
My Time to Craft Challenges #332 - Autumnal Colors or Halloween
If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenges #55 (photo inspiration)
The Alphabet Challenge Blog - R is for Recipe (use at least 3 from grid)
I used sentiment, stamp, dies and punches for my 3

Crafty Catz Challenges #344 - Anything Goes w/twist of using die cuts or a punch
Jo's Scrap Shack FFC#162 Color Challenge - Use Orange, Purple and Green
Fab N Funky Challenges #324 - Halloween
The Crafty Addicts Challenges #27 - A.G. with Halloween Colors

I hope that you will decide to play along with us this week!
We LOVE to see your creations so be sure to submit them
so you can have a chance to WIN a $20 gift card to spend
in the Kraftin' Kimmie Store!

And OH MY GOSH... I don't want to forget to tell you about
the NEW Surprise Krafty Guest Kit!
Details are on a 'pinned' post on the KKS Friends FB page.
Please go check it out!  You'll be so glad you did!

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Tata for now!  D

Catch the Bug Challenges - New Release Tuesday (Aug. 30th)

Hello sweet friends and followers!
Today is a bittersweet post for me
as it's my last official DT post for

I've had the pleasure of being on the Bugaboo Stamps
design team for nearly a year and a half (total with
guest designer spots) but lately life and work has
been knocking me for a loop and I find it very hard
to keep up with everything.  Something has to
give for a while so I've decided I need to step down
from the team as I can't continue to give it my
best attention - even as much as I love being part
of this amazing group. Thank you Jodie and
crew for having me with you and for being so
understanding and supportive of my decision.

So...back to the fun part of this post
and that would be to show you
the fabulous NEW Release digital image
for this week featuring flowers and butterflies!
It's so beautiful!!

This is colored with my copics but I also
want to try it with watercolors too.

Go check out the creations from the other
ladies and see what they've done with this
image as well.  You'll be glad you did!
Hugs! D

Freebie Friday at Bugaboo

Hello! Today is Freebie Friday at Bugaboo!!!
Who doesn't love FREEBIES?? I can't think of anyone!
This week's image called "Sign it - boy balloons" is just adorable
and has lots of possiblities - take a look:

I decided to make this a shaker card using one of the clear
packaging that some other crafty products came in.  It made
a perfect sleeve to put the sequins in.  Using an exacto knife
I cut around the image frame for the opening and then stamped
my sentiment (from "Make a Wish" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps") on
the card base  before attaching  the panel. The orange chevron strip
is washi tape and the red strip is from a border punch.
Bright colorful and fun!! Perfect for a boy or teen - I think.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant Challenges #301 - Masculine Birthday
The Male Room Challenge #11 - Use Washi Tape
The Friday Mashup #212 - I used the embellishments option
with a cluster of sequins.

You can find this image in the Bugaboo store today for FREE!
Some of the other wonderful designers for Bugaboo have also
made some darling creations for  your inspiration.  Please go
visit them at Catch the Bug Challenge blog and see what they have too.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today! Hugs D

My Time to Craft #280 - Lace {I Hope You Dance}

Hello sweet friends and followers.
I'm here today to share my DT card for
My Time to Craft #280 - Lace.

I just happened to have a little lace laying around in my ribbon box
(ahem...a little might really be a lot - just saying) so I was
thrilled with this week's theme to be able to use some of it :o).
The sentiment is from a brand NEW Release from Kraftin' Kimmie
called "Hello, Friend" - I just LOVE this saying!
It's a good reminder to embrace those opportunities
for happiness and to try new things.

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday #385

Hello friends - I'm back with  my second card that I made for

Cool crisp mornings, warm afternoons, gorgeous leaves
sweaters and boots and pumpkin pie - yum!!

Here's my card to show some Fall:
Stamp set by Kraftin' Kimmie - "Hey There Punkin"

I used some yummy Doodlebug papers with a fall theme,
and paper pieced the pumpkin with some papers from my

Christmas Greetings!

Hello friends!
After I finished my chores last night I sat and did some
browsing through my favorite challenge sites to see what I've
been missing lately.  I came across a couple that I just couldn't
resist this week - so I quickly put together this card to play along:

Please ignore the crooked sentiment - arghh!!
I stamped it the first time and it was way off - so I flipped the
panel over and tried again and I still got it a bit off.
I even used my Stamp-m-Jig but I must have been had my head tilted.
In any event - I didn't want to waste the cardstock
so I decided that the crooked sentiment would just have to
add some "homemade" charm to the card - ha ha!

As soon as I saw the sketch at The Paper Players Challenge #215,
I remembered that I had these left over snowflakes from a previous class project.
They were just perfect for this - take a look

I also used the colors from The Challenge #15 (Always Playing with Paper)
which is one of my favorite color combos - especially for Christmas!

And last but not least...I'd like to enter this at 4 Crafty Chicks - 4 CC #213
where they want to see a Trio of Pairs (3 pairs of snowflakes).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting. D

52CCT - September Embellishment Challenge "Diamonds & Pearls"

Hello friends - happy weekend to you!
Since it is the last month of September we have a embellishment challenge
for you over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown (52CCT)!

I must admit...this one threw me a bit out of my comfort zone.
I just kept thinking that I needed to make something really elegant
and that is not my usual style.  I stewed and fretted off and on all week
but my MOJO just wasn't there.  Finally I decided to dig
through my stash to see if something might inspire me.
First I found lots of different stars and then
I found these great rhinestone (diamonds) swirls.
Suddenly an idea began to form in my poor befuddled brain.

Here's what I came up with finally - take a look:

So that wasn't so bad...I made it way harder than I needed to.
I think I was just under too much stress from work this week
to even try to think creatively.  In any event, I'll just bet
that you already have some fabulous ideas for a
Christmas card using diamonds and pearls.

My lovely 52CCT teammates have made some really
gorgeous cards to share with you. Please go visit them and say "hi".
I hope you will decide to join us this week. I can't wait to see what you make!

Til next time...hugs and merry crafting! D

52CCT - August 2014 Theme Challenge

Hello friends!
A special hello to my newest follower Birdie - welcome aboard :o)

Time for another weekly challenge at 52CCT.
This week our hostess Gill has chose the theme of
Mistletoe and Wine in honor of her mom.

We would like you to make a card with mistletoe and wine as your theme,
be it images, colours, embellishments and more, it's up to you!

Here's my card to inspire you:

I apologize for the dark photo -just couldn't seem to get a good one this time.

I had these extra leaves in my stash, which was great since I still
can't do much stamping with my left hand.
I loved the way the skewed panel looked when I made this, but now
it looks to me like I had too much wine before I finished my card - LOL.

I hope that you will go to the 52CCT Challenge site and see what
the rest of my lovely DT pals have made this week to inspire you.
And then I hope you will decide to join us too :o)

Thanks so much for visiting me today - I'm sure glad you did.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting!

52CCT August Color Challenge

Hello friends, hope each of you are doing well!

This week at 52CCT our hostess Gill has chosen a very elegant
color combo for us to use.

Here's my DT card for this week:

I'm still wearing the splint on my thumb and searching for creative ways
to continue crafting and keep up with my DT responsibilities til it comes off.
Fortunately for me I had these die cut ornaments and punches snowflakes
in my stash pile just waiting for me to use.

I stamped my sentiment in the middle of a larger piece of ivory cardstock
and then embossed it.  I wanted to have lots of room around it to
cut it down as I'm doing what little stamping I can do with my left hand
and it usually is crooked :o)

The rest of my lovely 52CCT DT pals have made some
gorgeous Christmas creations with Gill's color combo.
Please go visit them and say "hi" and then link up your
own fabulous creation to share with us.

Thanks so much for visiting me today.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY ATSM - Challenge #100 - Photo Inspiration

Hello friends!  ATSM Challenge #100 marks the 2nd year of Addicted to Stamps and More!
Whoo Hoo!!
Thank you to our amazing leader Kylie who keeps it all fresh and fun for her DT team :o)

We've had so much fun inspiring you each week and seeing your amazing creations.
How very blessed we are that you continue to support us and play along in our challenges.

Take a look at the gorgeous Photo Inspiration we have for ATSM Challenge #100

So many possibilities with this one... rainbows, rain, umbrellas, summer, bright colors!

and they have generously provided our DT with some images to use for this challenge.

I made two cards this week to inspire you - take a look!
Sponsor image - BB Kakes  "Rainy Days"

I decided to make this a birthday card in celebration of ATSM's 2nd Birthday.
I used a combo of Stampin Up! new blendabilities markers
(coastal cabana, old olive, daffodil delight)
and copic markers (BG 10, R20, RV02, RV06, W0, W2, W4, N6).
Check out that paper - isn't it a great compliment to this image :o) LOVE it!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting from the Heart - Challenge #23 "Anything Goes"
Sentimental Sundays - Challenge #211 "Animals"

And now for my second card:
Sponsor image - Stitchy Stamps "Flip Flops"

I'm especially excited about how this card turned out.
Not only did I manage to do a fairly good job on coloring suntan skin,
but I also colored a beach scene.  Please forgive me if it seems that I'm
bragging - I'm just so excited, I can't help myself :o)

If you'd like to learn how to color a beach scene,
There's a great photo tutorial on the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog
by Krafty Girl Deborah who shows us how to color a beach scene.
Go check out Krafty Tips & Tuts - Week #19 to learn how.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Girls Challenge #20 -Anything Goes
Fusion (the bright colors and flowers were my inspiration)

Love to Create Challenge Blog - Challenge #120 - Anything goes
613 Avenue Create - Challenge #76 - "Anything Goes w/ optional twist (no twist for me)

The rest of the talented team at ATSM have made some gorgeous
cards to further inspire you to join our birthday celebration.

I hope to see your crafty creations in our gallery this week!
Please say "hi" while you're there too - we love to hear from you :o).

Til next time lovely friends...hugs and happy crafting! D
