Together is Better!! - A Krafty Komeback and January New Release Peeks

Hello, hello! So happy you are here to visit me!

The year 2021 is starting off with a krafty bang

Here's my card featuring the adorable fella from the set.

The background on my card was made w/the 

Beautiful Burlap stencil and Stormy Sky hybrid ink.

give you even more inspiration to use your new goodies.

After fussy cutting them, I popped them up with foam dots. 

A last touch was a few of the KKS Lovey Dots.

Donut Forget...I Love You

Happy Wednesday crafty friends and followers!

A quick post from me today with a valentine

that I made recently for my son.  Now that he's

received it I can share. He's such a sweet supporter

of his mama's crafty card making hobby and loves

to get handmade cards.  He also follows me

on all my social media accounts and I didn't 

want him to see it that way before he got it

in person.  It was kind of funny as he said

"hey, I got a card from my mama just now.

I haven't seen this one yet".  But then he

also wondered where the real donuts are - lol.

That "kid" love donuts so much it's ridiculous.

But I love him even more than he loves donuts!

Valentines' Day 2018 - My Feelings for You are STRONG

Hello sweet friends!

Did you have a good Valentine's Day?

We kept it low key this year.  I had planned

to make a special dinner since I had the day off

but then the hubster woke up with the flu. 

Poor guy!  I followed him around everywhere he 

went with the Lysol spray - LOL.  Very romantic, right?!

 I'm so freaked out abut getting this as I'm starting a 

new job on Tuesday and I need to stay well.  

Hopefully we will have our dinner on Friday.

Today I'd like to share the card I made for my husband.

I Love You a Bushel and a Peck - Valentine {SugarPea Designs}

Hello and happy hearts day! 

I had a good day celebrating the ones I love 

and feeling loved myself :o)  

Hope you did too!

This is the card I made for my daughter for 

Valentine's Day and to celebrate how very much 

I love her sweet self :o)

This little sweetie is from SugarPea Designs
called "A Bushel and a Peck" and I colored her with copics.
I made the main card panel using a brayer and then a
stitched rectangle die once it was dry.  It had been sitting
on my craft  desk for quite a while so I decided it wasa
time to use it and the color was perfect for Valentine's day.

Sweet Valentine's Love

Happy Valentine's Day crafty friends!

Hope you had a wonderful day and felt very loved.

I made some sweet little valentine's treats for 

my staff and co-workers.  First there are these:

These tags (using Stampin' Up! tag punch) are a CASE of some 

adorable CAS valentines that I saw on the SugarPea Designs Blog 

by Tracey McNeely who used the Barn to Be Wild stamp set 

and coordinating dies,  Click on the link above to see Tracey's 

creations that inspired me. 

And I also made these ones using a sweet little stamp set 

from Neat and Tangled called "My Favorite Nut"

I stamped on Kraft paper with a brown ink and 

then filled in the sweet squirrel with copics.  The 

one darker brown tag I tried colored pencils on

just to see how it would look.  I put a piece of cardstock

matting on the back of each panel so the coloring

wouldn't show through, and wrote a little message on the back. 

I found the jars and twine in the $1 bin at Target. SCORE!
The jars are filled with conversation hearts, sweet tart hearts
and valentine M&Ms.  I can tell you that these were a hit today!
I love to make people happy :o)

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #367 - Hearts

Happy weekend crafty peeps! 

Any big weekend plans?

Well...I know one thing you can do.

(Ummm how weird is that? Wasn't it just Christmas?)

Here's my DT card to share with  you

using ONE CUP AT A TIME and a die cut panel

that has been sitting on my craft desk for over a year. 

I used a combo of watercolor (around the inside of 

the die heart shapes and the first layer of stripes on 

the cup) and colored pencils to make this card. 

If you follow my blog or pop in often to visit me then 

you know that I LOVE to color with my copics.

However, I've really been loving all the pencil

creations I've been seeing and I've kind of  challenged 

myself to learn how to use them better.  So I've purchased 

a few colors and have been playing with them a bit. 

Definitely not as easy for me as the copics.  

I tend to be kind of heavy handed I guess in 

my coloring as it is kind of "streaky" sometimes, 

but I'll keep trying.  Practice, practice, practice!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #363 Your FAVorite Color

Happy weekend crafty friends and followers! 

Holy smokes it's been cold here in Montana this week!

Thursday morning the temp was -18 degrees.

That's right NEGATIVE 18 degrees and that's  

without the wind chill!

By the time I got home it had warmed up

to a balmy negagtive 8 degrees.

Brrrrrrrr!!!!  Brrrrr!!!! 

Once Christmas is past I start 

dreaming of spring and summer lol! 

Anyway...I'm so happy you are here to

visit me today!  I have a card to share with

Catch the Bug Challenges - Stella Says Sketch #404

Hello crafty peeps, hope each of you is doing well today!

Every other Sunday of each month at Catch the Bug Challenges 

there's a new STELLA SAYS SKETCH challenge for you to try.

Here's Sketch #404 - it's a goodie!!

This is kind of a long and skinny card sketch, but

it could also work well for a square or traditional A2 size.

  

I went with the long and skinny option and flipped  

the sketch vertically for my card today

(the overall size is 4" x 6")

This sweet little image called "Edward Valentine"

was perfect for my daughter's valentine this year

(she LOVES elephants).  I added my own handwritten

sentiment for a personal touch.

Catch the Bug Challenges - Oldie but Goodie

Hello friends and followers - happy Thursday!

On Thursdays at Catch the Bug Challenges we

feature some of the wonderful Bugaboo digital stamps

from the Oldie but Goodie category (really that just means

not brand spankin' new but still soooo good and fun to use).

Since this is the month for love, I'm sharing a valentines 

card that I made for my son using a really fun image 

called BUGPUPHEARTS01.

I don't typically make many valentine's cards - 

really just for my family.  I know they enjoy receiving

a handmade card.  Both of my kids save theirs -

makes my heart happy :o).

I used two things that I don't use very often on this card

buttons and twine.  Not sure why...I think I just forget :o)

Don't really need to add much when you have an image 

that is this adorable.  The inside says

"I Freakin' LOVE You".   And I really do :o)

New Release Tuesday Feb 2nd, 2016 - Bugaboo Stamps

Hello friends - happy Tuesday! 

You've gotten your Monday out of the way and the rest of the week

is cake - right??!  That's usually the case for me anyway :o)

It's time for a New Release at Bugaboo Stamps and this one

 is soooooo ADORABLE I can hardly stand it.

Here's my valentine card using the sweet little bee:

I added the littlest bit of sparkle on the wings and antennae using

a clear wink of Stella brush.  The papers and enamel hearts are 

from Doodlebug Design, The dies and embossing folder are 

from Stampin' Up.  This funny valentine is going to a very

sweet gal who loves bumblebees.  I think she will adore it!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hope wherever you are, you are feeling very loved today!

I was given a big bouquet of roses from my hubby and kids - very sweet!

It's time for another weekly challenge at Sketch Saturday

and here is the sketch for you to use.

I'm sharing a valentine that I made for my sweet daughter 

using this terrific sketch - take a look:

I used a sentiment from a digital set by From the Heart Stamps.

This one has special meaning to me because we used to sing

this to her all the time when she was little.  Sometimes

she'd sing it back to us too :o) 

Since it is made for a teen - I went a little cray-cray with

the glittery foam stickers and bright pink & red colors.  I 

added the hearts to the sentiment panel using a stencil.

A little busy, a lot bright and perfect for my teen sweetheart!

Hello again! 

Time for another weekly challenge at 

4 Crafty Chicks!!

And this time its Valentines - what perfect timing!

 Pink is not his color but I figured the black

My Time to Craft #278 - Banners or Bunting

Happy Saturday friends - hope you are all well!

We have had an unusually warm past couple of days here

and I have spring fever something awful!!!

Funny how even just a little sunshine will do that to a person :o)

It's time for another weekly challenge at 

My Time to Craft (MTTC).

This week MTTC#278 is to use Banners or Bunting

on your gorgeous crafty creations. 

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner

I thought I'd make a card with a heart banner...

Kept it pretty CAS (shocker!) this time.  

The banner is a new to me die from Lil Inker Designs.  

Isn't it awesome? I'm pretty stoked about it :o)

Valentine's Day for a Friend

Good morning sweet friends and followers!

Hope you are having a Wonderful Wednesday!

A quick post before I dash off to work 

to share a valentine's card I made for  a

swap at Kraftin' Kimmie Friends.

My swap partner was Miss Kimmie herself

and she has received her card now so I can share it with you. 

This darling bunny stamp is from a KK set called I{heart} You!

the sentiment is from another darling set called Lulu and Friends.

I added some little embossed hearts and teeny tiny pearls.

Wanted it to be special for her :o)
