Square cards are so much fun to make.  

You get lots of great space to work with. 

I recently got this fun paper pack that 

goes so perfectly with two of the adorable

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp sets!! Take a peek!

That adorable gingerbread house is one 

of the stamps in Gingerbread Kisses and

the sentiment is from Yummy Christmas!

I colored the gingerbread house with 

copic markers on kraft paper and then 

added details with a white gel pen and

some Nuvo drops.  The little gingerbread

people icons are from the same paper

line.  I love it all comes together so sweetly!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #516 - Combine Two Sets (and a Birthday SALE!)

Haaaapppppyyyyyy Weekend friends!

I'm also so excited when the weekend is here - how about you?!

Holy cow and it's a new month.  Boy did January go by fast!

Today is the start of another weekly challenge for

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS.

Each and every Saturday we post a new challenge for the 

week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like!

The Theme for Challenge #516 is .....

COMBINE STAMP SETS. 

What does that mean?  Well, we'd like to see you

use at least two different stamp sets together on your

krafty creation(s). Kinda like mix and match!

There are soooo many awesome KKS stamp sets 

that compliment each other so well.  I hope you'll

give it a go and join us this week!  

Here's something else you might like to see.

What a great opportunity to grab some more goodies

Here's my card the Challenge #516.  

I combined the very versatile and lovely 

HEARTS AND STARS! stamp set with the

newly released YOU'RE GNAW-SOME! stamp set. 

I used the NEW Crisp Crimson hybrid ink for the

larger hearts (and sentiment) and Ruby Red hybrid ink

for the smaller hearts on the background panel.  

I love the deep red color of the Crimson ink! 

The hearts were stamped with the assistance of my 

Stampin' Up! stamp platform. Made it easy peasy.

The wood strips are actually washi tape -something 

I seldom use but seemed like it fit perfectly for this

card design.  The beavers are colored first with copics

and then touched up with prisma color pencils for more

depth and detail.  The overall card size is 5 1/2" square.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #479 Rainbow/Bright Colors

Hello friends! Hope you're having an awesome day!

This week we have a new month of fun challenges at

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES.

The theme for Challenge #479 is to use Rainbow or bright colors.

I love to use bright colors on my creations. I googled colors of
the rainbow because I couldn't remember for sure how many there
were and found that some sources say there are 6 colors
and some say there are 7 colors which would be
ROYGBIP - Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Purple.

Some sources discussed whether indigo is truly a separate color,
or if its a combination (or blurring) of the blue and purple colors.
Very interesting stuff! I'm pretty sure that when I was in
school there was not indigio as a color (but that was a
very loooonnnnggg time ago LOL).

I chose to color up the super sweet duo from Troll Trouble

in the seven rainbow colors (my indigo is a tiny amount
in the boy troll's hair). I also used some of the fun
KKS rainbow enamel dots on my card.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #478 - Texture

Happy weekend crafty peeps!

Today I get the pleasure of being the hostess

for Challenge #478 at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES.

The theme I've chosen is TEXTURE.

There are so many ways to add texture to your

creations.  One way that has become my favorite

is to use glitter or embossing paste with stencils. 

My card uses the super adorable YOU GIVE ME WINGS stamp set.

My texture was created with some BoBunny glitter paste, some 

die cut grass and hills, coloring of the wood on the door, the

rocks on the fairy hideaway and lots of layers.  

See it's easier than you might have thought to add texture.    

To make this card, I started by sponging the main panel

with the new Sparkling Sapphire KKS hybrid ink all over.

After that dried, the stars were added using the 

STARBURST stencil (released in March).

I added some Yummy Yellow KKS hybrid ink to the clear

glitter paste (so easy to do and create colors you want if you

don't have them already).  I also stenciled the "rocks" on 

the fairy house.  It was a really fun card to make and I'm  

happy with how it turned out.  I wish you could see  

the depth and sparkle in real life!

Welcome back for DAY TWO of the 

April 2019 Sneak Peeks for 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

Today we have a beautiful stamp set

by artist Emilie Goulet called LIFE IS A JOURNEY.


This set is one of my favorites because 

my dream is to travel the world someday.

Not sure how or when - but I better get going

on this plan or it won't happen LOL!

Here's my card to share with you today

I used the lovely new CREAMY CARAMEL

hybrid ink for one of the sentiments (Marvellous

Mocha for the other) and some of the new 

gorgeous Earthtone enamel Dots.  

Wouldn't you love her for a traveling companion?

I think I would!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - Wonderful Wednesday ANYTHING GOES

Hey hey hey Happy Wednesday!!

Do you know what that means (other than you are that much

closer to the weekend)?  It means that it's time for another

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE

at Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges!  Whoot!

The weekly Wednesday challenges are ALWAYS

Anything Goes!  That's right...any theme, any colors,

any type of project (in good taste of course).  

Today my card features one of the not too spooky

images from the TRICK OR EAT - RE-RELEASE

stamp set.  I used a sentiment from GRIM GRETCHEN

to cover us a very bad booboo (ugh!) and am happy

with the combo of the two stamps.  Take a little look:

 I was actually quite thrilled with myself because I used papers, 

ribbon and the gauze flower all from my stash.  And aside from moving 

my panels around a hundred times and then deciding that the 

card was too "clean" for a spooky image and halloween card 

(so I added some distress inks) - the card came together pretty quickly :o).  

We love when you show us your krafty stuff using

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps but it's not a requirement.  

We really would just love for you to play along with us!

Hello hello! Welcome back for DAY TWO

of the OCTOBER NEW RELEASE sneak peeks

Wasn't yesterday fantastic?  Well if you liked that 

stamp set you are sure to love this one just as much.
Here's our second angel...EVANGELINE ANGEL!
This set was the Super Secret Krafty Klub stamp set that was
included in the Khristmas Kard Kit! The lucky crafters who preordered
it already have it in their inky little fingers and you'll get to see their
creations today because they are our fabulous GUESTS!

I'm absolutely in heaven because I LOVE angels!
This fun new stamp set has the large main image and three sentiments!



I really enjoyed coloring this image with my copics.

Once again I used the October KKS sketch for inspiration and

my layout.  I love to use sketches because it lets me focus on 

things other than than design (which sometimes can keep me

wrapped up way too long in finishing a card).

Hey there, Hi there, Hello!!!

Happy Wednesday to you :o)

It's my favorite day of the week -

okay maybe my second favorite day

because Friday is my favorite.

Anyhoo....Wednesdays are awesome

from a crafty perspective because at

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES

the theme is Anything Goes!

This means you have a LOT of krafty

options and can use any one of them for the

challenge this week.  It can be any type of

creation, an color scheme, any sketch, 

yep...Anything Goes!  Who doesn't love that?

I received some colored pencils for my birthday

in April and have slowly been playing with them. 

They aren't nearly as easy for me to use as

my trusty and loved copic markers but I'm 

going to keep trying as I've seen some fantastic

creations with colored pencils and it's fun to

stretch myself creatively!  

My DT creation to share with you today 

features the beautiful CINDERELLA

I wasn't going to make a square card initially but 

then I just couldn't cut up more of this paper than I

needed to.  I wanted all those fun fairy tale words to show

so I needed a bigger space to work with.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges -Challenge #387 "Circles"

Oh hey if you are here to visit me today I'd like

you to pat yourself on the back and say 

congratulations for making it to the weekend!

Here we are already at the last Saturday challenge

of this month (wow!) at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE 

and the theme for this week is CIRCLES. 

Oh my gosh...as I typed this I started singing the

phrase in my head "You spin me right round round..."
and I don't even know what song that is from - hehehe.

Funny about the power of suggestion and I apologize if

I've now stuck that (or another song) in your head too - lol!

Anyway...back on track here...we want to see you use

circles on your creation this week.  It could be lots of circles

on the background or it could be images in circles or it could

be a circle card or circle tag.  Okay I'll stop - I think you get it!

sentiment from one of the other fun mermaid sets called

I'm a huge fan of artist Cheryl Grant - her images
always make me smile.  Here's my card using this set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #365 - Square Cards

Hi there!  So happy that you've stopped in to visit me.

It's Saturday so we have a new theme challenge for you

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES!

This week our hostess Larisa chosen
SQUARE CARDS
as the theme for all of us.  

I personally love to make square cards!

I go in spurts where I'll make a bunch of 

them in a row before I go back to regular A2

size cards.  Square cards are awesome for

larger stamp images such as Belle from 

the BEAUTY stamp set.  Here's my square card:

I had previously watercolored this panel and it was

just sitting on my craft desk waiting to be put on a card. 

The sentiment is from LOVE STORY SENTIMENTS.

I decided to keep the style clean and simple but

with layers.  I just always seem to need layers 

on my cards :o).  CAS with only one layer is 

veryyyyyy difficult for me to do -  LOL.

"It's Your Birthday..." SugarPea Designs - Rice, Rice, Baby

Hello sweet friends!  

I found some myself with the luxury of

having some "just for fun" extra crafting time 

over the weekend so I pulled out a few of

my "yet to be inked stamps" and had a blast 

creating with them.

   Do you make New Year's resolutions?

I don't usually make them - mostly because it seems
that I inevitably fail in keeping them lol.  BUT....

this year I did make 3 crafty resolutions 

1) use more of my "yet to be inked" stamps

2) use up more of my designer paper stash 

before purchasing more (this one is going to

be the most difficult because I think I 

truly have an obsession with patterned papers)

3) get a couple of my cards published  and...

hopefully 4) be awarded a guest designer spot for a 

couple of stamp companies or blogs that I really like. 

I'm super happy about this card because it fills two of

my New Year's crafty resolutions - using an inked
stamp set called Rice Rice Baby from SugarPea Designs

and some of my designer paper from my stash.

I colored this with my copic markers.
