Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - #500 "Use 1 or More Stencils"

Hello friends and happy weekend.
This week at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS
we are celebrating 10 wonderful years and
the 500th Challenge!!! What an amazing milestone!

This week our hostess for Challenge #500 is Krafty Gal Anna.
She is challenging us to  Use 1 or More Stencils on our creations.
And guess what??? Kimmie is offering a special prize to
one lucky winner from this next week's entries...
5 - yes FIVE - stencils of the winners choice!

Since Kimmie started carrying stencils in the krafty shop
I've hardly used my patterned papers.  The stencils are so fun
to use and they work so beautifully with the KKS hybrid inks.
They also work great for dry embossing.
If you haven't checked them out you should!

My DT card today uses 3 of the stencils for the background
BATS & MOONS, CREEPY COBWEB and LOTS O' DOTS
and one of the not so spooky monsters from
MONSTER MASH with a sentiment from PUMPKIN KISSES
and added couple of the fun enamel SPOOKY DOTS.

This is one of the funnest cards I've made in a while.
The first color I used on the background was
GOBLIN GREEN (leaving some white space around the bottom
and outer edge.  Then I added some SPARKLING SAPPHIRE
in the white areas I had left.  For the stenciled layers, I first
sponged some GRANITE GREY over the top of the
Creepy Cobweb stencil.  Second layer was to add some bats
through the Bats & Moons stencil. The sentiment was
added in Wicked Black (same as the bats) and then I
sponged with PURPLE PANSY ink through the
Lots o' Dots stencil.  Isn't it fun? I love how the green
glows through the web! Spooky Cool!

Thanks for visiting me today! I hope you find some time
in your weekend to get krafty and join the challenge.
Your entry needs to be a new creation and you can use
any type stamp product. BUT...  We love to see what you make
with your KKS Stamps, inks, stencils and dots!
So.. if you use KKS Stamps and products you'll
and products you get double entry points!

I'm also entering the following challenges today

Thanks for visiting me today! Krafty Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #478 - Texture

Happy weekend crafty peeps!
Today I get the pleasure of being the hostess
for Challenge #478 at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES.
The theme I've chosen is TEXTURE.
There are so many ways to add texture to your
creations.  One way that has become my favorite
is to use glitter or embossing paste with stencils.

My card uses the super adorable YOU GIVE ME WINGS stamp set.
My texture was created with some BoBunny glitter paste, some
die cut grass and hills, coloring of the wood on the door, the
rocks on the fairy hideaway and lots of layers.
See it's easier than you might have thought to add texture.
To make this card, I started by sponging the main panel
with the new Sparkling Sapphire KKS hybrid ink all over.
After that dried, the stars were added using the
STARBURST stencil (released in March).
I added some Yummy Yellow KKS hybrid ink to the clear
glitter paste (so easy to do and create colors you want if you
don't have them already).  I also stenciled the "rocks" on
the fairy house.  It was a really fun card to make and I'm
happy with how it turned out.  I wish you could see
the depth and sparkle in real life!

I'm also entering this card in the

I hope you will decide to accept my challenge this week
and play along with us at KKS.  Each time you enter
you increase your chances to win a $40 gift certificate
to use in the KKS Shop.  We especially love when you
share your creations using KKS stamps and products!

Thanks for visiting me today!  Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #477 - Amazing Women

Hello friends! I'm happy you're here to visit me today!
we have an awesome theme challenge for you.
KKS Challenge #477 is "AMAZING WOMEN".
We all know one - and hopefully we also
count ourselves in this category as well.
I feel so fortunate to have so very many
amazing women in my life - my Grandma, my Mom,
my sisters, my daughter and daughter in law, my nieces,
coworkers, dear friends, my Krafty krew teamies...
honestly I could go on and on and on.
So let's celebrate those amazing women (or ourselves) and
share a creation for this challenge focusing
on this theme. I can't wait to see what you
make and read how (or who) it relates to your creation!

My card today uses a main image from YOU ARE SUPER
that I colored after watching Krafty Girl Jessie Banks tutorial
(you can find this in the KKS You Tube videos or in the videos
section of the Krafty Friends FaceBook group).
I started this card by making the stenciled background
with some BoBunny clear glitter paste and the STARBURST
stencil from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I added some of the
KKS Yummy Yellow hybrid ink to the clear paste
before I worked it through the stencil. I love the gritty
texture and shimmer with the bright color!

This card went to my beautiful daughter-in-law who is
currently deployed.  She is truly one of my heros.

In addition to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge this week,
I'm also entering these awesome challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #337 -Make Your Mark
Mod Squad Challenge - Use a Stencil

(as it is every month during new release week).
We'd love to see you play along with us  and

The stamp set featured today in the peeks has
the most adorable trio of fairies!
It's called YOU GIVE ME WINGS by artist Neda Sadreddin.

I mean seriously...look at this awesome set!
The sweetness is off the charts!

I couldn't decide which fairy to showcase
so I picked all three!  And the "tweet" birds too!

I used the Krafty Scenery Stencil for the large circles
and added stars by using the NEW STARBURST STENCIL
and the Purple Pansy hybrid ink. I added a few of
the pretty SPRINGY ENAMEL DOTS too.
The fairies were fussy cut and some sparkle was added
on the stars and wings with a glitter pen.  Super Sweet right?!

amazing creations to showcase the NEW products of
this month that were released yesterday.
So grab your favorite drink and maybe a snack

ALL the new products are now in the store -
including the GIMME KIMMIE set for those
of  you who are in love with the entire new release!

My card features the New SPRINKLES stencil
and DONUT WORRY stamp set.

To create the background, I used the following KKS hybrid inks -
Purple Petunia . I stamped the donuts, the sentiments
and the sprinkles on the donuts in Marvellous Mocha ink
(all of these are available in regular size pads or 1" ink cubes).
The frosting on the donuts is Marvellous Mocha and
Charming Chartreuse inks. There's even a few of the
fabulous Rainbow Dots scattered on here.
It hardly needs the sentiment inside because it's
easy to figure out - but just in case (and for fun)
I added it to finish the saying...Donut Worry, Be Happy!

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me.  There's so much
more inspiration to see just hop on down to the links below.

Spring is Coming - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Hello!  I was such a busy little bee today.
It snowed all day long and was very cold outside
so I crafted, I purged and I organized! Woo hoo!

I have been on a kick lately of using stencils for backgrounds
or scenes.  This card was made for the special celebration
challenges this weekend in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends
Facebook Group.  We are celebrating reaching 6,000 plus
followers and Kim's birthday with five special challenges.
Kim's favorite color is purple so that's the theme/color
for challenge #5.  I inked up some purple tinged clouds
with the Krafty Basics stencil.  Really loving how it
turned out and wishing it was spring and not still
winter here - lol!  Here's my card -
that adorable little lamb and sentiment are from
the KKS stamp set called Easter Blessings.

I'd like to also enter this card in the following challenges:

Well that's it from me today.  Need to get myself to bed
and ready for work tomorrow.  Why do the weekends
go by so much faster than the rests of the week?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  Hugs! D

I have a one layer card with some gorgeous gold embossing
to share with you today.
I used each of the star stamps from HEARTS and STARS
(which is quickly becoming my one of my go to sets)!

I'm loving how easy it is to create one layer cards
with this set (and the new stencils)! I used my stamp
platform to get all the stars on at once and then
heat embossed them in gold.  Then I added a sentiment
from Let Your Light Shine using the KKS Wicked Black ink.

Here's another look that shows the gold embossing better.
Isn't it awesome how well these sentiments coordinate with this new set?!

for the fantastic NEW RELEASE at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.
Today is all about some sweet cuddly love with
this new clear stamp set called BEARY LOVE by
artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen! And....we also
have some other new goodies you might notice!

I created a one layer Valentine card to share with you today.
Those pretty pink hearts are made with the brand spanking NEW

panel.  I stamped the sweet little bear with KKS wicked black
hybrid ink (so perfect for all coloring mediums and it's available
in both a regular ink pad and a mini cube) and then masked around
it with a die cut circle before I inked up the background. That beautiful
color of the hearts is from the NEW KKS "PRETTY IN PINK" hybrid ink.
I finished the card by coloring the image with copic markers.
A very quick and fun card! Stencils are so awesome to create with!
Oh and did you notice those pretty enamel dots?!
These are also NEW to KKS - EEEeeeee!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
