MTTC #275 - Love is All Around.

Hello sweet friends and followers!
It's a busy sharing day for me with three posts for you.
If you are looking for my:
Kraftin' Kimmie Jan 2015 Day FIVE Peek, click here
or my Sketch Saturday #344,click here

but of course if you are here to see my DT post
for MY TIME TO CRAFT #275 - then you are in the right place
and I'm happy you are here :o)

MTTC#275 is all about LOVE.
We want to see your beautiful creations with Love as the main theme
such as Valentines, Anniversary or Wedding
Or even just Love Ya!

Here's my DT card to share with you today

Recently I won a challenge and got to select some
digital images from A Day for Daisies.
I saw this sweet angel and couldn't resist her.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a set of oval dies
that have a narrow gap between the layers?
I often wish I had one but am not sure which one would be
any different than this.  I'd love to hear from you if you do!

I used the card from Sketch Saturday #344
(where I'm also on the DT) for the layout.
Sweet, simple and LOVEly!!!

I'm also entering my card in the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More! Make Your Mark
FUSION (Valentine's and hearts)

The rest of the lovely and talented team at MTTC
have also made some beautiful and LOVEly creations
to share with you this week.  I hope you will go visit them too
and then decide to link up and join the fun!

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

MTTC #274 - Stripes

Hello friends and followers!
A special hello to Mrs. P and Mrs. B
aka Lois and Karen :o)

This week's challenge at MTTC #274 is Stripes.
So many possibilities with this theme - just use
some stripes somewhere on your card, scrapbook page
altered item or 3D project.

Here's my DT card to inspire you to join us this week
using some of my brand new stash (stamp, paper & markers):
Stamp, paper and dies by Stampin Up!
Colored with Stampin' Blendabilities (Pink Pirouette, Smoky Slate and Old Olive)
and copic markers (Y000 and B000)

I colored up this great new stamp and then lined it up
inside the smaller oval die. I then drew a line around
the inside of the oval shape so I would know where to cut
so that parts of the image were outside the shape.
The paper is brand new in the SU Sale-A-Bration catty.
It's like magic... looks blank until you add ink
to reveal the patterns. LOVE this.
I used my brayer to add the Pink Pirouette color
and create the soft background.
Soft, simple and sweet :o)

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
The Card Concept 26 (stripes, flowers and pink for inspiration)
using the Clean and Layered style
Dragonfly Dreams - What's Your Favorite Color
(Mine is PINK!)

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Something New (new stash)
Ruby's Rainbow Challenges CH#95 - What did Santa Bring?
(I am my own Santa - lol!)
The Crafter's Cafe - Challenge #98 Something New (paper, stamp, markers)
Inky Impressions Challenges IIC#191 "Something New"
(stamp, paper, markers)

I hope that you will decide to join us this week for MTTC#274
My lovely teammates have also made some gorgeous
eye candy for your inspiration.  Please go visit and see :o)
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

MTTC#263 - Tag It!

Hello friends and followers - happy weekend!!
The month of October is just practically evaporating for me.
This 3rd week of the month at My Time to Craft (MTTC)
we have a little different and fun challenge for you.
MTTC #263 is Tag It!

We want to see your tags - not attached to a card or project.
Just a good ol' tag!  Here's mine for this week:

I mustache you...do you like it?  LOL
I used my new mustache die - just love it -
and popped it up using dimensional dots.
I colored the image with my Stampin' Blendabilities markers
and added some rhinestones for added bling.

I don't very often make tags but with images as cute as this
I think I might need to make a few more!

I'm entering my tag in the following challenges:
The Crafter's Cafe - Challenge #86 Use an Image with a Hat
Crafting from the Heart - Challenge #40 - Anything Goes

I also made a second tag from the from set (Stampin Up!)
but attached this one to a card.

Fun huh?
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #86 Use an Image with a Hat
Inky Impressions Challenge #181 - Anything Goes

I hope that you will decide to join us this week at MTTC.

gorgeous colors of the leaves.
I especially love the fall holiday of Thanksgiving

when we get together to celebrate.

Speaking of fall, I have a card to share with you
using one of Deedee's Digis

or two ago (still love that corn paper) - feeling
pretty good about that, as well as some new
enamel dots that I just had to have :o)
I love the rich warm color combo of this card.
Hope you like it too.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #117 "Make Your Mark"

52CCT October Color Challenge

Hello friends - happy weekend!!
This week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - 52CCT
we have a color challenge for you.
Take a look at this fun palette:

I used the pinks, the lighter blue and green for my card

The image and sentiment are from a new release digital set
at Deedee's Digis called "Ugly Sweaters". I hand-drew the wonky frame
around the sentiment so that it would stand out a bit more.
I colored it up with my Stampin' Blendabilities markers
in Melon Mambo (light & medium), Old Olive (light & medium)
and Coastal Cabana (light & medium).

This is a tall and skinny card measuring 3 1/2" x 7 ".
I kept it flat  (no embellishments) so that it will be easy to send out.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting from the Heart #39 - Anything Goes
Jingle Belles  - Pink Christmas (noticeable amount of pink)
Paper Pretties PWC331 - CAS
Sister Act Card Challenge #78 - Anything Goes (sponsored by Deedee's Digis)

My lovely 52CCT DT pals have also made some wonderful
Christmas cards to share with you using this fun color combo.
Please go check them out and say "hi" while you're there.
I hope you will decide to join us this week.
I can't wait to see what you make!!
Til next time...hugs and merry crafting! D

From the Heart - September Digi and Challenge #80

Hello friends - hope you are having a terrific day!
Somehow the weekend just blew right by me as if I was standing still.
I got a lot done - but now I'm realizing what I didn't get done and
I have to go back to work tomorrow - Boo! I think the work week
should be 4 days and we should get 3 off (1 extra day to craft) - hehe.

In any event... I have a card to share with you today
using the September stamp of the month called "Flappy Birthday"
for the From the Heart progressive challenge - hope you like it!

In looking at my card a revelation about my cardmaking skills
popped into my head.  I use a lot of bright colors in my creations!
(This was really more of a no-brainer than a revelation).
They just make me feel happy, happy, happy!
Oh... and I LOVE cute images such as these ;o)
Do you have a "signature" style of any sort?

I am entering this in the following challenges:
I {heart} sketches #80 w/twist (I didn't use the twist)
Sketch080
The Alphabet Challenge - Q for Quadruple (use 4 of something)
I used 4 panels of dsp on my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad you did!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

My Time to Craft (MTTC) Challenge #257 - Teddy Bears Picnic - Here's to you Marie!

Hello and happy weekend!!
Monday was a work holiday for me which somehow makes the rest of
the week seem a bit harder.  Maybe it's because we then have to squish
five days of work into four.  Anywhoo... I'm glad it's the weekend!

It's also time for another challenge at My Time to Craft!
This time MTTC Challenge #257 is Teddy Bears' Picnic.
We want to see a Teddy or Teddies on your crafty creations.

on or within the patterned paper.  We really want "Teddy" to get center stage!

Digital image and sentiment by Deedee's Digis - "Hang in There"

a rough time of it lately and the loving and wonderful team at ATSM
dedicate their Anything Goes Challenge to Marie this time.

Marie, no matter how tough things are sometimes
they will eventually change (nothing stays the same forever).
Please know that you have many wonderful and supporting
friends who love you and are pulling for you (including me).
Sending prayers and the biggest cyber hug I can dear lady!
Hang in there. Have Faith.

So...I hope that you will decide to join us at MTTC this time and share

Kraftin Kimmie June Krafty Krop - Challenges #1, #2,#3 and #4

Hello friends! I had such a great day yesterday.  We got up and went to the Farmer's Market, we went to have a latte at my favorite little coffee shop downtown, did a little shopping with the fam and then I spent a good chunk of my day coloring several Krafty Kimmie Stamped images in celebration of their NEW RELEASE event.  Thanks to the modern marvel of technolody and smart phones I was able to keep up with all the posts and see the great creations using the fun new stamps!

Today I spent a good chunk of my time taking my colored creations and making them into cards to fit 4 of the 5 special challenges that were issued by the Krafty Girls.  All in all, I would say that I had a really good crafty weekend (even if I may not have clean clothes to wear to work tomorrow - LOL).
Warning: This is a bit of a long post with all the cards.

So here's what I've made to share with you for each of the challenges:
Kraftin Kimmie June Krafty Krop - Challenge #1 - Fussy Cutting
Stamps from "Smarty Pants" set
This card will go to my daughter's favorite teacher.
The paper is from a pack I bought ages ago with the intent to catch up
on the school scrapbook pages (which are still waiting patiently).
After coloring the image with my copics, I then fussy cut around the image.
I then colored around the edge with a sharpie.
Not perfect, but pretty good considering I wasn't using my readers :o).
I didn't intend for the words on the chalkboard to look quite so smudged - but so it goes.

I am entering card #1 in these other great challenges too:

Clear it Out Challenge Blog - Theme and Stash are both Anything Goes
Corrosive Challenge Blog Challenge #202 - Color Me Happy (use favorite coloring medium).

Now on to Card #2.
Kraftin Kimmie June Krafty Krop - Challenge #2 - Paper Piecing
Stamps from "Angie"

This image is pretty easy to fussy cut around and do the paper piecing.
I used some of my Doodle Bug papers for her robe and the background.
Of course, I had to use PINK as it is my favorite color :o)
I had a marker problem with my E59 and the hair got kind of tacky.
Still looks ok - but I know what I'll be doing before the next weekend.
Cleaning some markers :o)

I am entering Card #2 in the these other great challenges too:
Click the image to play along with the current sketch!

613 Avenue Create - Challenge #77 Anything Goes w/PINK
Let's Craft and Create #93 - Spots or Stripes

Next in the line-up is Card #3 - Take a look:
Kraftin Kimmie June Krafty Krop - Challenge #3 - Unconventional Colours
Stamps from  "Dream Big" set

So what's more unconventional than a pink elephant?
Makes me think of the song "Pink Elephants on Parade" and what
might imagine seeing after a good bender - lol :o).
I bought this stamp set initially just for this darling image.
This is a larger square card - 6 x 6 inches.  I started out thinking that I would
make a round card but realized that I didn't have a die big enough to accomodate
all that I wanted on the card.  So I traced a small plate and cut around it
(another example of fussy cutting - lol).  and then put it on the card base.
The clouds are made from the cupcake builder punch.
Oops, I see that my circle got mounted crooked (guess the elephant is going uphill) and
I should have finished that little strip of grass at the bottom. Oh goodness!
Will have to get that done before I send it off.

I'm entering this card in these other great challenges too:
Stamping Sensations June Challenge - Animal Antics
Divas by Design - 3 or More Layers
Pile it On #25 - Kawaii/Cute

And last but not least is card #4 - Check it out:
Kraftin Kimmie June Krafty Krop - Challenge #4 - All Things Shimmery
Stamp from "Smarty Pants" set

On this card I colored the stamped image with my new Stampin Up
blendabilities markers (outfit, books and apple) and copics.
Using up some more of that school dsp stash and cut out a big bright
shimmery star with my new Star dies.  Lots of glimmer on this baby :o)
This card will go to my niece's boyfriend for graduating college and getting
his first big job.  He is really smart and looks just a bit like this fella.

I'm entering this card in these other great challenges too:
Imagination Crafts Challenge - All that Glitters June Challenge
Freshly Made Sketches #141 - sketch
Crafting by Designs Challenges - June Anything Goes

Wow - so that's it from me (finally) tonight. Hope you enjoyed the cards that I've shared.
The KK Challenges are open until June 29th so you have time to join.
These other fun challenges would probably love to see your cards in their galleries too.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Take a look at the gorgeous Photo Inspiration we have for ATSM Challenge #100

So many possibilities with this one... rainbows, rain, umbrellas, summer, bright colors!

and they have generously provided our DT with some images to use for this challenge.

I made two cards this week to inspire you - take a look!
Sponsor image - BB Kakes  "Rainy Days"

I decided to make this a birthday card in celebration of ATSM's 2nd Birthday.
I used a combo of Stampin Up! new blendabilities markers
(coastal cabana, old olive, daffodil delight)
and copic markers (BG 10, R20, RV02, RV06, W0, W2, W4, N6).
Check out that paper - isn't it a great compliment to this image :o) LOVE it!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting from the Heart - Challenge #23 "Anything Goes"
Sentimental Sundays - Challenge #211 "Animals"

And now for my second card:
Sponsor image - Stitchy Stamps "Flip Flops"

I'm especially excited about how this card turned out.
Not only did I manage to do a fairly good job on coloring suntan skin,
but I also colored a beach scene.  Please forgive me if it seems that I'm
bragging - I'm just so excited, I can't help myself :o)

If you'd like to learn how to color a beach scene,
There's a great photo tutorial on the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog
by Krafty Girl Deborah who shows us how to color a beach scene.
Go check out Krafty Tips & Tuts - Week #19 to learn how.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Girls Challenge #20 -Anything Goes
Fusion (the bright colors and flowers were my inspiration)

Love to Create Challenge Blog - Challenge #120 - Anything goes

Monthly Digi Stamp Challenges - Deedee's Digis & From the Heart

Hello friends and followers.  Hope each of you is doing well.
I seem to be burning the candle at both ends lately and feel as though
I'm suddenly running out of steam.
So much to do, so little time left for crafting lately.
I started two cards weeks ago, but finally got them finished last night so that
I could participate in a couple of my favorite progressive challenges.

This is a progressive challenge which gives you a free digital image
each month just for participating in the previous challenge.
I've loved each fun image I've received.
Perhaps I'll inspire you to check it out and start playing along too :o)

Take a look at what I made using "Not a Tie":
Just for fun - here's the inside too :o)

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

The second card was made for the
From the Heart May Digital Stamp of the Month Challenge.
This is also a progressive challenge where you get a free digital
image each month for participating in the previous challenge.
Who doesn't love a freebie?
All of their images are just so wonderful!
I'd love to see you start playing along too.

The digital image is called "Whimsy Garden Fence" and here's my card:
On this card I used my new Stampin' Blendabilities markers by Stampin Up!
on the Flowers, banner and bird (Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
and Coastal Cabana). Each color comes in a light, medium and dark shade for blending.
Really impressed with the deep rich color and the way they blend.

I'm also entering the following challenges with this card:

Papertake Weekly - Sketchie Free for All (using sketch below)

Corrosive Challenge Blog - Challenge #200 Anything Goes

52CCT May Stash Challenge - Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue

Hello friends and happy weekend!
The past couple of days have been in the 80s - so sunny and beautiful.
I think spring is finally here - whoot whoo!!
I will admit that I had a bit of a hard time today with thinking about snow and Christmas.
But then I realized that the beauty of it is that it can be very nice outside
and I can still have fun making a Christmas card to be ready for the season ahead of time.

On that note...it's time to show you what the  newest challenge is at 52CCT.
Our hostess with the mostest, Ruth, has chosen a fabulous challenge this time.

I think this is a super fun challenge.
Almost all crafters have a combination of something brand new and something old in their stash.
If you are lucky enough (like me) to have a friend who has something different
in their stash that you can borrow, then you've gotten the third piece of the challenge.
And last but not least - use the color blue somewhere in your Christmas creation.
Easy Peasey - right?

Don't stress out if you can't use all 4 categories, but please do use at least 2 of the categories for creating your Christmas card. Let us know in your post what elements you used so we can ooh and ahh with you.

Here is my DT creation for the 52CCT May Stash Challenge:

The designer paper is my something old (from Stampin Up! season 2009)
I used my NEW stampin' blendabilities markers in daffodil delight and coastal cabana
to color the nutcracker.  I really like these. They are very smooth and quite comparable
to the copics that I normally use.  It was fun to have another coloring option.
(The hair, face and sword were colored with copics).
I borrowed a stamp set from my friend Jeanne (the wreath and nutcracker)
and the something blue...well that seems quite self explanatory :o).

Hope you like this card and that I've inspired you to join us this week at 52CCT.
The rest of my lovely DT pals have made some awesome creations to
further inspire you.  Go visit them and say "hi" while you're there.

Til next time... enjoy the sunshine and take some time for crafting! Hugs D
