In my ongoing personal challenge to get more comfortable with (and better at) Clean and Simple cards I decided to give the Clean & Simple Stamping #201 sketch a try (see below) and to my great surprise I really like it! Here's the sketch and my finished card:
I used a black cardstock base and just let a tiny bit of the edge show. I also love to use texture in some form on my cards - in this case I used the Spider Web Folder for the embossing. This gave the card some added detail without detracting from the white space and simpleness of the card. You could even mist the web ever so slightly with some shimmer and it would look really fun (I thought of that just now).
Thanks for letting me share my C&S creation with you today. Come back to visit again soon. Hugs!
Supplies (all from Stampin Up!): Cardstock - Basic Black and Whisper White. Basic Black ink. Stamp - from the Googly Gouls set in the new Holiday Mini (#128063 clear or 128060 wood). Googlies (eyes) come on a sheet of 50 for $2.50 (too much fun!). Textured Embossing folder - Spider Web Folder.
How cute, love those eyes! Great Halloween card!
