Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge - April 29th

Hello friends - hope you are all doing well!
Here it is the last Wednesday of April already.
It's also my amazing friend Cindi's birthday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY girlfriend!

And... it's time for another WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY
challenge at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE!!

It's always "Anything Goes" on Wednesdays at KK.
Not too much to think about in terms of
a special theme, or type of project, or color scheme
or stamp to use - cause you can do anything your
little ol' heart desires (as long as it's in good taste)!

I have another card to show you using one of
my NEW favorite stamp sets called "A Bit Smart Assy"
Take a look:
Can't you just smell the chocolate cupcakes she is holding?
And seems like some pretty good advice to me...
why stress when you can eat a cupcake (good ol' comfort food)!

I also used another sentiment from this set on the inside
with another piece of good advice (in my opinion)
I definitely like to follow that as often as I can :o)

I'm entering the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create - Challenge #121 w/optional humorous sentiment
Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #142 "Make Your Mark"
Brown Sugar Challenges #143 - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
But before I go...Did you see this great deal ?
Kimmie posted a "secret" extra 10% off code in the FB Friends Group!!
Use code SPRING2015 for 10% off your entire order, good through April 30!

I hope you will be joining us this week for Wonderful Wednesday.
Til next time...hugs and happy kraftin'! D

My Time to Craft #289 - Flowers

Happy Saturday peeps!!
There are leaves showing up on my trees, the days have been warmer
lately, the sun is shining and I am happy not to be at work :o)
Do you have any special plans for the weekend?

Saturday always brings the start of another great challenge
This week our theme is FLOWERS.
What a perfect theme for this time of year as they
are just starting to decide to awaken and show their lovely
colorful faces after the long winter sleep.

I took a bit a different spin on the flower theme
- really a rather humorous one - take a look:

LOL!! Doesn't Stella totally crack you up?
I fully imagine that my Mom thought this of me a time or
two when I was a teenager.  Fortunately for me, my own
daughter who just turned 15 is still so very sweet that I'm
just enjoying her grow and giving her lots of love (and
embarrassing her just a wee bit every now and then - hehe).

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Ruby's Rainbow #102 - C.A.S.
The Corrosive Challenge Blog - Challenge #222 Floral Fantasy

Please go visit the rest of the lovely ladies from MTTC
and see what they have made for your inspiration as well.
Then I hope that you will decide to play along with our
Flowers theme this week!!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Catch the Bug Challenges - April Photo Inspiration

Hello again friends!
This time I'm back with another card for

The theme for this week's challenge is to use the photo below
as inspiration for your own creation - take a look

Take whatever inspiration you feel from this -
flowers, summer, teenagers, girls, vegetables, gardening...
you get the idea, I'm sure :o)

Here's my Guest Designer card for this challenge

For some reason this photo made me think of rabbits hiding in
the garden (maybe it was the carrots) and flowers.  So I found this darling
image called "Garden Bunny" to be exactly what I was thinking of.
When I had a garden (ages ago) we often had to chase the bunnies away.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Tip Top Tuesday - 3 of Something (I used 3 patterned papers)
Sentimental Sundays Challenge #255 - Animal Love
MOJO Monday 394 (sketch below, which I flipped)

Well... it's off I go for now. Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you will decide to join us this week at
Catch the Bug for our photo inspiration challenge.
The rest of the team has some goodies to share with you.
Please stop in and see them too!
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Sketch Saturday #358

Hello sweet friends!
It's the last weekend of the month and the
start of another great sketch challenge
Our generous prize sponsor this week is none other
than our very own sweet Niki!

Here is Sketch #358
And here is my DT card using it

My baby girl turned 15 this week.  I can't believe
how fast time has gone by - seems like not that long ago
she was "still 5" (she really wanted to be 6).  Kinda makes me sad :o(
This image by Mo Manning totally reminds me of her.
I often see her painting her nails in her jammies.

I'd like to enter this in Mo's Digital Challenges #250 Anything goes
Brown Sugar Challenges - #143 - Anything Goes

The rest of the lovely and talented ladies at SKETCH SATURDAY have
made some jaw dropping creations for you to see - so please
go visit them and say "hi".  Hope to see your own gorgeous
creation in our gallery this week!! Til next time friends....
hugs and happy crafting!! D

Your Next Stamp - Feature Day - Shaped Card

Hello friends - thanks for stopping by to visit me today!
Today is a special day for me as it is my husband and
my daughter's birthday.  He's gotten very used to sharing his
birthday with her and always says that she was his best present ever.
I do think they share a special bond because of it.

It's also my my last post as an April Guest Designer
for YOUR NEXT STAMP.

This challenge is to make something other than an A2
(standard 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" sized) card.  I  make lots of
square cards but seldom make shaped cards.
Not sure why as I have lots of layers dies that work
wonderfully for this style of card.

I pulled out those dies and got busy making this fun little creation
with an adorable stamp set called "Spring Birds"

Aren't these little birds so tweet?? Sorry - I couldn't help myself!
Doesn't this sentiment make you want to break into a song?
"Rockin Robin" comes to mind for me.
I used lots of fun layers and a little paper piercing to add texture.
I snipped the very end of the bottom tip off so the card will stand up.
The overall size is approx 5 x 5 3/4" so it will fit in a 6x6 envelope.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Come and Get it Challenges - Things that Start with "B"
Crafty Creations - #287 Seeing Spots
Papertake Weekly - Cute as a Button
Addicted to Stamps - Challenge #141 Anything Goes

I have so enjoyed this opportunity to share my creations
using these wonderful stamps and being part of this
amazingly talented and creative group!
Such a blessing for me! Thank you Karen and YNS Team!
'Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting! D

This post is all about the fun new challenge over at

This week we would like to see you USE TWINE on your creation.

I used a plain kraft gift bag that I had received recently to make a
whole new birthday creation using NEW stamps
from the super fun set called "A Bit Smart Assy"

here's a closer shot of the stamped panel

I love all the stamps in this set - great sayings
and the ladies all remind me of at least one of my friends

Catch the Bug Challenges - BINGO

Oh hey...hello there friends!!
There's a new weekly challenge starting today at
and it's one of my favorite types of challenges
(second to sketch challenges) - BINGO!!

Whoop Whoop - take a look at this fun board of options

You can choose any row, column or diagonal for your project.
My Guest DT card today uses a diagonal section of the bingo board
Bugaboo image, Texture and 3 layers

This fab image is called "Dotty Wonder Woman"
the texture is a star embossed background panel and
some linen thread (to look like rope).  In looking at this
I may have more than 3 layers - oops - but there is at least 3 :o)

Do you remember the series of Wonder Woman?
Boy I sure do...  I used to wish to be her
with her amazing bod and magic rope :o)
Who am I kidding...I'd still like to be her - LOL!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Catz Challenges #275 - It's a Girl Thing

your fab creation with us too.  Have a wonderful weekend won't you?!
Til next time... hugs and happy crafting! D

My Time to Craft #288 - Umbrellas

Hello, hello!!
It's time for another weekly challenge at My Time to Craft
and this week we would like to see you use an umbrella
or umbrellas on your creations.  We must see an umbrella either
in your image, on your papers, as a die cut or as a charm to fit the theme.

Umbrellas aren't something we've need too much here yet.
Still seeing some snow here and there (yuck) but the trees
are starting  to bud up now - yay!
I would like to see a little rain soon to help things green up
and to water my flowers and plants.

Here's my DT card for today using umbrellas in my paper.

I used a rainbow die cut and cupcake punch (clouds) to make
this card. The sentiment is from a stamp set called
Rain or Shine at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew #85 Sentiment
Papertake Weekly - Words, Words, Words
The Outlawz - Monday Greetings "April Showers and/or Rainbows"
MOJO Monday #393 - Sketch (which I modified slightly)

and
Virginia's View Challenge #14 - Layers and Dimension

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me again today!

Your Next Stamp - DT DARE

Hello sweet friends - thanks for visiting me today!
Have you enjoyed this week of different and fun creations
from the Your Next Stamp April Release?
I was over the moon impressed with all the amazing
creations from the awesome team and guest Kendra at YNS.

Today I'm back (as a guest designer) for the DT DARE.
The DARE specifically is to put a feminine twist on our creations.

Here's my card using "Bookworms Rule  "
I think this set is my favorite as I was totally a bookworm
as a child and still love books today.  Take a look:
I used another of the sentiments on the inside too

This stamp set would be perfect for a scrapbook page,
the front of a journal, on a Project Life type card,
as a tag on a birthday gift to a book lover - I just LOVE it!!

I hope you will go visit the rest of the lovely ladies at YNS
and see what they have made for this dare.
Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting! D

Your Next Stamp Sketch/Color Challenge #12

Hello sweet friends!
A very special shout out to my newest follower - Creative M,
thanks so much for joining my creative journey.

TGIF!!!!
Oh  my gosh...what a brutal week it was this week for me.
Long hours at work and lots of stress.
I am very very glad that it's the end of the work week!

Another fun thing about today is that it's the start of another
challenge at Your Next Stamp.

As usual they have a choice for you of either a
Sketch Challenge or a Color Challenge.
You can use which ever of these that inspire you most.
If you're really ambitious you could combine the colors with
the Sketch. That would be cool!!!

                Here's a look at Color Challenge #12

          and here's Sketch Challenge #12

Me...I'm a sketchy gal, so I chose the sketch challenge -
and once again I grabbed one of the fantastic stamps and
sentiment from the NEW Release called "For the Boys"

Oh hey...and did you know that there is also a coordinating
die set for these FUN stamps?  You can see them here
I found these new Doodlebug papers at my local craft store
and thought they were perfect for this stamp.
Hopefully it won't be long before we are BBQing again!
Yesterday morning though we woke up to snow - yuck!!
Typical Montana weather - LOL!

Did you enjoy the YNS New Release hop?
I was completely impressed and awed by all the
great creations that the YNS ladies made!!
You really need to pop on over to the challenge site
again today and see their newest creations too!
I hope you will decide to join us for this current challenge!
I can't wait to see your creation in the gallery.

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Wonderful Wednesday - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Let's Hang Out!

Hello sweet friends - Happy Tax Day!
Hopefully it's a happy day for you and you have those
dreaded taxes filed and are expecting a refund!
It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me with getting my own
done and helping family members with theirs as well.

So enough about that not-so fun subject...
let's talk about the WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY challenge
that started today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Each Wednesday of the month is a new Anything Goes challenge
(except for the Wednesday of new releases).  At the end of the month
one random winner will be chosen from all the entries for the whole month
and will receive a $20 Gift Card to the shop!!!
What do you think.....wanna WIN??  Let's see your krafty stuff!!

We also have a sketch for you to incorporate in the challenges if  you wish
for a little extra inspiration and fun.  The sketch will last all month long and
if you use it in ANY of our Challenges or WW's during the month
you will get an additional chance to win a store gift card!
Here's the April Sketch (use it if it moves ya'!)

I personally LOVE to use sketches and tend to stay pretty true to them
most of the time.  I used the sketch this month on my card today - take a look

This darling stamp and sentiment are both from the set called
"Springtime Friends" (released in March 2015).

I tried a technique I haven't done before with the white embossing of the
stamped image on kraft paper.  I colored this with Prisma Color pencils
from my son's art box.  I think next time I do this I will stamp the face
after I do the outline and then it will stand out a bit more.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Come and Get it Challenges - Make a Card for a Child
Sweet Stampin' Challenges - Children's Cards

I hope that you will pop in to visit the other Krafty Girls and Guests
who have made some gorgeous creations for your inspiration this week.
Then go link up your own wonderful creation using any stamp, any theme,
and design, any project - ANYTHING GOES - to share with us.
Can't wait to see what you create!!!

Have you played along with Kimmie's INSTAGRAM to win?
Visit the Krafty Friends FB page to see how you
can play along with another chance to win!

Hello! Happy weekend to each of you! Hope you are well!
Do you have any special plans?  We are getting together with family
on Sunday to celebrate my belated birthday party (it's the BIG 5-0 for me!).
Other than that, it's supposed to be cold and rainy here so I'm hoping
to be inside cozy and warm & doing some major crafting :o)

My card today is for two challenges that I am on the design teams of:
Catch the Bug Challenges (Bugaboo) - Earth/Recycle
where we would like to see you use a recycled item(s) on your
card or project (or with the Earth as the focus) in honor of Earth Day;
and My Time to Craft - where I'm the hostess this week
for MTTC #287 - Sketch Challenge.

Before I show you the card - here's the awesome sketch

and here is my card using a digital image by Bugaboo called "World Girl"

I went mostly with the Earth theme here but did rescue (recycle) a small
banner strip that had been sitting on my desk as a left over from another
project and snipped it in half for the two tabs in the sketch.

The background paper is from an older Basic Grey collection
that has been in my stash for literally 6 years and finally got used today.
I love the fun and funky vibe from it with this image.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

with the party theme.  See those shiny things?  Those are sequins from
Krafty Kimmie's Shop. There's lots of different colors - so fun!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Virginia's View Challenge #14 - Layers and Dimension
Through the Purple Haze #84 - Anything Goes
