Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges Wonderful Wednesday - Sept 6th 2017

Hello everyone!  

Maybe you've noticed that things have been a bit quiet

on my blog for the past couple months.  

I took some time off crafting and blogging 

to catch up on some life kind of stuff 

and enjoy the summer while my son and his

fiance lived with us while in transition. 

But now I'M BACK and so excited to be 

crafting again!  What better way to get things started

again than to use the ANYTHING GOES theme

for WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY at

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges.

I hadn't used my colored pencils for quite a while

so I pulled them out along with the adorable 

stamp set called LULU'S WHEELS. 

 I love this sweet stamp and the sense of adventure

it makes me imagine.  Road trip anyone? 

Where would you go if you could just get in the car and drive?

Wonderful Wednesday (May 31st) - SKY'S THE LIMIT

Hello friends!  This week I get the pleasure of being your krafty girl 

hostess for Wonderful Wednesday at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES
 - the very last one of May 2017. 

Are you as stunned as I am at how fast this year is going by?  

Tomorrow we are half way through the year and before you 

know it it will be Christmas time again. Gulp!

  

Now that I've depressed you (LOL) how about I cheer you up 

with a fun little creation using Lucas and his sweet pup 

from "SKY'S THE LIMIT" ?!  You have to smile when you see this duo!

I made this card as a special request for a little boy who will soon

be a Big Brother to twin siblings!  I'm told he loves planes and 

dogs so how much more perfect can it get than to use this stamp set?

Very Last (and Favorite) Christmas card of 2016

Hello again friends and followers :o)
Are you as in shock as I am that there are
only 3 more days of this year?!
This past month was so full for me with
work and family that it seemed like I blinked
and now it is almost over.
I remember my Grandma telling me that
as you get older time goes by faster.
I didn't believe her until recently lol!

I have one more Christmas card to share with you
today that was made for my son and his lovely lady.

This is a retired Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp called Rudy.
I stamped it on Kraft paper and then colored with
copic markers and a white gel pen.  I really
loved how it turned out and not only was it my
very last Christmas card of 2016 - it was also my favorite!
This cheeky reindeer reminds me a lot of my son :o)

Wonderful Wednesday - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Let's Hang Out!

Hello sweet friends - Happy Tax Day!

Hopefully it's a happy day for you and you have those

dreaded taxes filed and are expecting a refund!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me with getting my own

done and helping family members with theirs as well. 

So enough about that not-so fun subject...

let's talk about the WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY challenge

that started today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. 

Each Wednesday of the month is a new Anything Goes challenge

(except for the Wednesday of new releases).  At the end of the month 

one random winner will be chosen from all the entries for the whole month 

and will receive a $20 Gift Card to the shop!!!  

What do you think.....wanna WIN??  Let's see your krafty stuff!!

We also have a sketch for you to incorporate in the challenges if  you wish 

for a little extra inspiration and fun.  The sketch will last all month long and 

if you use it in ANY of our Challenges or WW's during the month 

you will get an additional chance to win a store gift card!

I personally LOVE to use sketches and tend to stay pretty true to them

 most of the time.  I used the sketch this month on my card today - take a look

This darling stamp and sentiment are both from the set called 

"Springtime Friends" (released in March 2015).  

I tried a technique I haven't done before with the white embossing of the 

stamped image on kraft paper.  I colored this with Prisma Color pencils

from my son's art box.  I think next time I do this I will stamp the face

after I do the outline and then it will stand out a bit more.

Happy weekend everyone!!

Here's hoping that you are all well and that you

have a very blessed Easter. 

Today I have a double Design Team post for both

I've a kraft cardstock base and some papers that have kraft color

as well as a darling stamp from the set called "BOOK PALS" 

from Kraftin' Kimmie - take a little lookie

Since Krafty Girl Tracy's challenge for us this week

at Kraftin' Kimmie is to also decorate the inside of your card

here's what I did using the same papers and putting a sentiment 

from "HELLO FRIENDS" on the inside

RAWR...A Monster Hello

Rawr!!

For those of you who don't know that's monster talk for "hello".

At least that's what my son used to say when he was about 3 yrs old.

Stamp and sentiment from "Silly Monsters" by Your Next Stamp

As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to have it because of my son.
He went through this phase where he would say "Rawr" as
a response to nearly everything. Then he would say
"I'm a monster"! He was a cute little monster :o).
