Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - June Challenge! Dad/Boy/Masculine and/or Outdoor Activities

 Good morning and welcome to our 
New Monthly Challenge
at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Are you ready for another krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative mojo going? We've got some fabulous prompts for you and can't wait to see what YOU create!

This month our challenge themes for you are:

Dad/Boy/Masculine and/or Outdoor Activities

You can choose one theme or combine them!
Enter as many times as you like all month long.
It's a Choose Your Own Krafty Adventure!

June is the month to celebrate the men in our lives. 

Typically that means Father's Day, but the person

that I'm celebrating is my Brother-in-Law. 

I chose the Masculine theme for this month's 

challenge and made a birthday card for

his upcoming BIG birthday year.  

To create this card, I used the 

Charming Chevron stencil 

and the following gorgeous KKS hybrid inks:

Sandy Shores

Marvellous Mocha

Bubbly Blue

Designer Denim

Magical Midnight

The first thing I did was use a white cardstock

panel and sponge the different ink colors through 

the stencil using foam daubers. Then I lifted

the stencil and brushed the same colors over the 

top of what I had just stenciled. 

Since I wanted the die cut numbers to be

the same color as the chevron stripe.

I covered another piece of scrap white 

cardstock with the Magical Midnight ink and 

let it completely dry before using the number dies. 

I also made a custom sentiment strip panel

but covering another piece of scrap white

cardstock with the Sandy Shores ink. 

The sentiment is from the super fun 

Birthday Bash stamp set.   

I stamped the sentiment with

Marvellous Mocha ink but this time I was

impatient and didn't let the Sandy Shores ink

set in the paper as well as I should have so the 

mocha ink kind of sunk into the panel and

didn't stand out as much as I was intending it to.

I think the message is still quite clear and I 

have to admit that I quite enjoy teasing my BIL.

I'm so excited to share this stamp set 

with you today! Cheryl's cute images have

been among my favorites since I 

started cardmaking.  These fellas

bring back many memories for me 

of my son playing the sports. 

Without further ado...

here's a top basketball star.

I wanted the sentiment to be 

customized, so I taped off the

bottom portion of one and then 

stamped the larger stand alone

sentiment right underneath that.

on  Sunday, January 21st at 2 pm EST

I get the pleasure of starting off this month’s challenge. 

The challenge themes for you are: 

CAS (clean & simple), Boys/Men and/or Brown!

The masculine (boys/men) and color brown are the two themes I choose to play with. 

Take a look at what I came up with! 

The new “ITS ABOUT TIME!” stamp set is perfect for masculine cards. I flipped the chevron stencil panel sideways to create an additional layer under the clock image. 

I created a Woodgrain look on the card base by using a Kraft cardstock and swiping Marvellous Mocha and this month’s featured ink color, Creamy Caramel, across it. 

The Ink Of The Month, will be on sale all month long. It’s a just a lovely shade of Brown!! Grab it now to add to your collection.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - April Release peeks - DAY 2! Majestic Mountains

     Welcome back to Day TWO of our April Krafty Peeks!

stencil to create a beautiful night sky background

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April NEW Release Peeks - DAY TWO - Stone Age Friends!

   Welcome back to Day TWO of our April Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  

Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from artist Neda Sadreddin

 and it's called.....

STONE AGE FRIENDS!

This absolutely awesome set features a prehistoric family and their wooly mammoth friend with accessory stamps and fun, ancient sentiments!

I fell in LOVE instantly with this adorable stamp set!

Neda's characters are just so stinkin' fun 

and this one makes me think of the Flintstones. 

My card is a notecard size - something I don't 

do very often, but it's such a fun size.

I used the new Animal Adventure stencil with Rich Rust ink

and the new Lucious Lemon ink over the top of the cardstock

base very lightly (and heavier around the fire).  The sentiment 

is from yesterday's krafty komeback - CAVE KIDS.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #580 - Card for a Guy!

 Hello friends! Happy Saturday.

It's time for another weekly challenge at 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

This week I get the pleasure of being the challenge hostess.

My theme for you is to make a CARD FOR A GUY!

If you're like me, masculine cards are a bit challenging to make.

I'm always looking for ideas when it comes time for a male birthday 

or Father's Day card.  Well... the new WILD & CRAZY GUYS 

stamp set has definitely made it easier (and more fun) for me! 

This fun set has three absolutely awesome guy images - 

the handy man, the grill master and the golfer.  

Each of these is so fun to color up! 

I recently made a birthday card for my hubby using

the grillmaster. He loved it - but I busted out laughing

when he said "wow this guy's got a lot of hair".  To

put it in context, my hubby is completely bald LOL. 

The top sentiment is from Farm-Tastic! - which is another

great set for the guys in your life.

This dapper golfer is from WILD AND CRAZY GUYS!

This stamp set has been retired for quite some time but has made a

krafty komeback this month. I waited for what seemed like

an eternity for this stamp set to come out of retirement.

I just love the three main images that are so perfect for

the men in my immediate and extended family as well as

friends and coworkers It's just so awesome for masculine

cards and scrapbook pages. I actually used the original

cling rubber stamp set and sentiment for my card -

but you have the opportunity to purchase it in the

fabulous photopolymer clear stamp version.
