Challenge #659 - A Recipe (Glitter, Stencil & Sentiment) - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

  Good morning and welcome to another

fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps !

Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?

We've got some fabulous ideas for you 

and can't wait to see what you create!

This week, Krafty Girl Melanie is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is: 

A Recipe Challenge:

Glitter, Stencil & Sentiment!

Ohhh the possibilities on this one! 

I had a dickens of a time making up

my mind on which stencil to use. 

There are so, so, so many to pick from!

Here's what I finally came up with...

for the first card

I used the Frozen Fractals stencil for 

this lovely rainbow background.  Then

I added coordinating Stickles to what is

the white area after you lift the stencil

from inking.  The sentiment from the 

NEW Holiday Sentiments was just

perfect for this theme and the background

I created.  It's stamped on acetate with the

KKS Wicked Black ink.  

Now for the second card.  Haha, I told

you...I had a terrible time making up my

mind. So...I made two!! 

This card features the Falling Leaves stencil

with several different colors of glitter gel. 

I’m entering this card in the 

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme this week is “Stencil It”. 

There's also a fun new challenge I just found out about

called Stencil Fun Challenge.  I'm entering my card in 

the November Stencil Fun challenge too. 

Here's a closer look at all that beautiful glitter

I didn't have any fall colors of glitter gel,

so I used a clear gel and added drops of 

the KKS ink refills in Tempting Tangerine,

Mossy Meadow and Rich Rust.  

So now it's over to you! Have I inspired you

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps August 2022 NEW Release Peeks - Day One: Monster Sentiments!

       Who's ready for lots of brand new Krafty goodies?!

It's time for our August Release Peeks to begin 

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today's set features an assortment of fabulous spooky sentiments

designed by Sabrina van Vloten

Oh my goodness this stamp set is

just so stinkin' FUN! I've used it

several different ways this month 

already! Here are three cards to

share with you today - take a peek:

 This first card features a couple pieces of the 

awesome chipboard from this month's ADD-ON BUNDLE. 

I added stickles to the witches hat and broom.  

These next two cards were a fun way to use

up some little scraps of Doodlebug paper

from the recent Halloween Virtual Retreat

in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Facebook event. 

I thought it made the sentiment's even spookier

to heat emboss them in white on black cardstock.

Graduation Celebrations - Happy Thoughts

Hi again - I'm back with a second post for the day.

We had a whopping six graduates this year between our

family and friends.  I was wayyyy behind remembering

that this was coming up (and honestly kind of shocked

because I still can't believe that some of these young

people are "old" enough to be graduating) and hadn't made

the cards yet.  So I started with some fun themed papers 

and looked for some sketch inspiration that would help

me keep the design fairly quick and easy to replicate.  

Here are two of the cards I made - both using the 

currently weekly sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, 

papers from my stash and two awesome stamp sets 

by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called YOU'RE A HOOT

and HAPPY THOUGHTS (sentiments).  

I've included a close up of each card too

the actual kind pulled from my embarrassing large

patterned paper stash.  I bought several sheets of this

This is on kraft paper with Totally Taupe, Marvellous
Mocha, Mossy Meadow, Mermaid Melody,
Sparkling Sapphire and Wicked Black KKS hybrid inks.
I also used some Liquid Applique for the snow.
I really love how this turned out.

Holiday Wishes - Day TWO of the September peeks for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Seriously what an amazing month of new releases
this is! Today there are two new stamp sets to show you
designed by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen.
There's HOLIDAY WISHES - a fabulous set
of larger Christmas sentiments


and...CHRISTMAS SEALS - a fun set of
circular sentiments and designs.


My card today features one of the sentiments from
HOLIDAY WISHES with a clean and simply design.
The NEW Berry Bliss hybrid ink is such a beautiful
rich color for fall and Christmas. I sponged some of
it along with Goblin Green through the HOLY Stencil
to create a fun and festive background.

Let me tell ya' if you aren't playing with some of

the KKS stencils you are missing out on a whole lot

of krafty fun!  So quick, easy and fun to create your

own backgrounds and elements!  You'll start to feel

guilty about all that patterned paper you have in your 

stash that is being clearly ignored (or maybe that's just me - LOL)!

The HOLIDAY WISHES stamp set is just awesome!

 These sentiments work wonderfully for sentiment only cards

as well as on the inside of cards - tags and scrapbook pages too.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - Challenge #490 Feature a Sentiment

Hello! I'm glad that you are here visiting 

my blog today! I hope you like what you see.

Saturday's are always awesome at 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES

because it's the start of a new theme 

challenge and a chance to get inky 

and play with your KKS Stamps, inks,

stencils and enamel dots!! 

Challenge #490 is to FOCUS ON A SENTIMENT.
I chose a Christmas sentiment for this challenge because
I've not started a single Christmas card yet 

and it's now less than 6 months away.
And I have a ton of Christmassy papers that are
just perfect for using just a sentiment on.

Here's the card I made using a card panel

The stamp set this cute sentiment belongs to is called
Gingerbread Kisses! and you can find it in the KKS Shop.

Whew! Now I feel better knowing that I've gotten a start on my

Guest Designing for the Card Concept #100 challenge celebration

Well hello crafty friends!  So nice of you to visit me today.

After many months of a crafting break, I was thrilled when

 the lovely Kim asked if I'd like to be a guest designer 

for the Card Concept #100 challenge.

And when I saw the beautiful inspiration photo 

for this challenge I was even more excited. 

Oh my gosh! Seriously sooo many things

you can take for inspiration from this.  

I was drawn to the pink and gold colors

and the pumpkins (I LOVE pumpkins!)

I pulled out a bold sentiment stamp called 

called Be Full from Neat and Tangled and

made this Clean and Graphic card. 

I swished pink distress ink around on my

base panel and then heat embossed the 

gorgeous sentiment in gold.

as the amazing inspiration from the DT there!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #407 - Stencil(s)

Happy Saturday crafty friends!

The theme for Challenge #40 at 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES

is to use a STENCIL.

I've purchase several stencils but have very seldom used them.

They are so much fun to use and I honestly can't tell you

why I don't think to pull them out more often and play with them.

I'm just such a patterned paper addict that this is usually my go to.

However, I accepted the challenge today and pulled out an

unused stencil and got inky!!  Ohhh my goodness what fun!

For my card today I used a large medallion one and inked it 

up like a Christmas wreath.  Then I used one of the awesome

sentiments from THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS,

Isn't it stunning?  And it should be pretty easy to mail since it'

isn't super layered up.  I'm really happy with how it turned out!

4 Crafty Chicks Challenges {4CC #341} - Spring Fever with Sponging

Hello! Happy Thursday! 

This is my second week of guest designing for 

4 CRAFTY CHICK CHALLENGES! 

This week the theme challenge from Nance for 

4CC #341 is "Spring Fever with Sponging".

I woke up to about 2 inches of new snow today - bah!

Oh boy do I ever have spring fever! 

Can't wait to see the pretty flowers poking their

colorful faces out of the ground! 

Come on Spring!  I'm ready!

Here's my card to share with you for this challenge

I used a panel of cardstock (Stampin' Up!) that had 

the pattern already on it.  Then I used a sponge to rub 

different colored inks (also Stampin' Up!) around the panel 

to magically make the pattern appear.  I got a little heavy handed 

a time or two in spots - oops.  I also used sponge daubers to

get the spots of color in places.  The sentiment is one from 

 a set called "Sincere Thanks" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

 I finished the inside too with an extra piece of the panel

and a second sentiment from "Love Story Sentiments" 

also by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. 

So until spring actually shows up here I can

look at this and dream :o).

Today is the last week of my 

Guest Designer month at 

CRAZY4CHALLENGES.

It's been such a fun month and

I'd like to thank the ladies for

The theme for C4C351 and the last Saturday

of  August 2016 is "Upcoming Holiday".

I love both Halloween and Christmas.

I've been pressed for time this week so I went with a
quick design that uses a piece of patterned paper
and a large sentiment stamp.  Then I added some
ink distressing around the edges.
Viola!  A quick halloween card done!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Monday everyone, hope you've

had a good start to your week! 

Today I'm sharing a Mother's Day card

that I made for my mom.  

I recently got some more Zig markers from Simon Says Stamp

and was dying to play with them.  So... I grabbed a stamp set

from Close to My Heart and did some stamping, heat embossing 

and coloring with them.  I love how these markers are so vibrant 

yet create such a cool watercolor effect at the same time. 

I find them pretty easy to use but I need a bit more practice 

to get the variation and depth in the colors.

It's time for another sneak peek of the
