Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January 2019 New Release BLOG HOP

Hello, Hello! I'm so glad you're here to visit me today.

I have a one layer card with some gorgeous gold embossing
to share with you today.

I used each of the star stamps from HEARTS and STARS

(which is quickly becoming my one of my go to sets)!

I'm loving how easy it is to create one layer cards

with this set (and the new stencils)! I used my stamp

platform to get all the stars on at once and then

heat embossed them in gold.  Then I added a sentiment

from Let Your Light Shine using the KKS Wicked Black ink.

Here's another look that shows the gold embossing better. 

Isn't it awesome how well these sentiments coordinate with this new set?!

Guest Designing for the Card Concept #100 challenge celebration

Well hello crafty friends!  So nice of you to visit me today.

After many months of a crafting break, I was thrilled when

 the lovely Kim asked if I'd like to be a guest designer 

for the Card Concept #100 challenge.

And when I saw the beautiful inspiration photo 

for this challenge I was even more excited. 

Oh my gosh! Seriously sooo many things

you can take for inspiration from this.  

I was drawn to the pink and gold colors

and the pumpkins (I LOVE pumpkins!)

I pulled out a bold sentiment stamp called 

called Be Full from Neat and Tangled and

made this Clean and Graphic card. 

I swished pink distress ink around on my

base panel and then heat embossed the 

gorgeous sentiment in gold.

Happy 50th Birthday

Hello friends - Happy Monday!

Friday was my middle sister's 50th birthday

and here is the card I made to help her celebrate 

this momentous occasion.  

the inside says ..."Like WHY did I walk into this room?!"

I tried to break it to her gently that yes this does happen

(and far more often than I'd like to admit) - haha!

This fun sentiment is from a set by Stampin' Up! called 

FIVE FOR ALL. 

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #323

for the layout and the main color of pink because

well, because....I love pink lol!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - May 2017 NEW Release Blog Hop Celebration

Happy Mother's Day!

Are you ready for some amazing inspiration today?!
I sure hope so because the SIX new clear stamp sets that we've
been sharing all week for KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS are
  NOW available in the krafty shop AND we're celebrating
with a Krafty HOP! The Krafty Krew and our fantastic 

guests have pulled out all their creative genius karma

and have some amazing creations to share with you today
featuring the new stamps for May!

This month of new releases has been my favorite so far 

(okay I know I've said that a time or two before but really

I think it is!!!).   Grab your favorite beverage, get comfy
and start hopping along with us.    

I'm using one of the two fantastic new sets by artist Cheryl Grant

called "COWS IT GOING".  Take a peek!

I got some Prisma Color colored pencils for my birthday 

this year (a set of 72). This is my first real attempt at coloring 

the entire image with them.  I'm pretty happy with how it looks :o) 

This stamp set just steals my heart.  I love cows!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - Wonderful Wednesday 2.1.17

Hey Hey Everyone! 

Happy Wednesday and February 1st!

January went by in a chilly blast of snow.

I'm anxious to see what February brings.

Hopefully not more snow and cold

but it is Montana soooooo.....

ya it will be snow and cold - LOL!

Today is the start of another 

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY at 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES.

The theme is anything goes! 

You can choose to make ANY type of creation,

use any theme, any layout/design, any 

color combo and any theme!  

It's like having an easy button :o)

Here's my card to share with you using

LOVE CHEMISTRY (glasses and sentiment)

and ONE CUP AT A TIME (little heart).

As you can see (hehe) I had a lot of fun

with my heat gun and embossing powders.

Hello friends hope you had the most blessed Christmas holidays!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #361 - CAS with a Sentiment

Hello friends!
Pat yourself on the back in congratulations for
making it to the weekend - I know I am!

Each Saturday we have a new challenge starting at
Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges and this week
the theme is CAS (Clean and Simple) with a Sentiment.
I hope that you will come play along with us this week.

I played around with some bright colored Zig clean brush
markers and some Ranger distress inks to make my
CAS creation.  The sentiment (from Love Story Sentiments)
is heat embossed on the watercolor paper.
That adorable snail and the mushrooms are
from Snail Mail (one of my favorite sets from 2016).

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - June NEW Release Peeks {Let Your Light Shine} & ANYTHING GOES Challenge

Hi friends!  Holy smokes what another GREAT month

of AMAZING NEW clear stamps from 

KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

Welcome back for our final day of June krafty peeks!
 And not only do we have another fabulous new set of stamps

Today we are previewing an elegant new set of images
 and sentiments by artist, Becky Pearce!
 This new 4x6 clear set is called LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!
There are several large script words plus so many smaller
sentiments that you can mix and match to create amazing
combinations! Plus five lovely gem images for a total
of TWENTY TWO amazing stamps!

It's also Challenge Day and our hostess is Krafty Girl, Jenny!
 The challenge is Anything Goes (as it always is during release week)
so create a card, altered item, scrapbook page with any stamp
BUT if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp,

I LOVE this fabulous new set! So many possibilities!
Here's my card to share with you - hope you like it!

The sparkle is from glitter glue.  The shimmer is created

with gold heat embossing and wink of stella pen in gold. 

I layered the base on a piece of gold glitter paper. 

(P.S. It's really hard to get a good photo when there

is this much sparkle going on.)

Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Love Affair w/Coffee {Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps}

Hello friends!

I'm back with another card to share with you

for the SPRING COFFEE LOVER'S  BLOG HOP.

This card is a tribute to my love affair with coffee 

I pulled out my mini distress ink pads and started

sponging the base panel.  I mixed and matched two

oranges, a peach and a red to get this blend of bright

yet warm colors (that's how I feel about coffee a bright

and warm start to my day - hehehe).  Then I embossed

the sentiment and go cups.  I left the space around the

sentiment a little wet and when poured the embossing powder

on the panel it smudged.  At first I was horrified that I had

ruined it and then I decided that I loved it because it looks

like coffee grounds.  What's that saying "a happy accident"

or something like that  :o).  I then added a few of the coffee 

beans around the panel and as a last touch decided to 

splash a few drops of water on there for a bit more 

effect.  I'm really happy with how it turned out and 

it was fun to get inky with this one.

Kraftin' Kimmie December NEW Release Peek Day ONE - Love Chemistry

Oh my goodness the December NEW Release peeks are starting today
at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE!

Day ONE features a spec-tacular new CLEAR stamp set by artist, Becky Pearce.
It's called LOVE CHEMISTRY. This set has eye glasses, beakers, adorable faces
and more plus four adorable coordinating sentiments for a total of 15 stamps!

I've been so excited to share this new stamp set!  I know you are
gonna love them as much as I do.  So many wonderful ways

this stamp set can be used. You'll see what I mean after you go
visit the other Krafty Girls today too (see links below)!! 

Here's my card today (I made my own background - EEEEK!)

I stamped the background using one of the stamps and then 

embossed in white.  Next I sponged red ink all over the panel and

wiped off the excess ink from the embossed parts.   Love how it turned out!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #307 (Embossing) and MyTime to Craft #309 (Let it Snow)

Happy Saturday friends! 

Today I get the pleasure of combining two of my DT 

challenges into one post :o).  

Challenge #307 at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE  is "Embossing"

and Challenge #309  at MY TIME TO CRAFT is "Let it Snow".

Here's my card featuring one of the adorable winter-lovin' critters 

from the stamp set called "Ice, Ice Baby" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps,

with a dry embossed panel of snowflakes.

Dry embossing is one of my favorite techniques to use. 

I have a LOT of embossing folders in my crafty stash. They are a 

great alternative to patterned papers sometimes. 

Another fun technique that I've showcased here is a spinner card.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: How to make Faux Metal Trinkets {Video Tutorial}

Hello, hello, hello and HAPPY Monday!

I'm here today to share a video tutorial

on how to make faux metal trinkets 

using the Kraftin' Kimmie Birthday Trinkets set

in less than 6 minutes!!!

Supplies you will need for this project include:

Versamark clear embossing ink

metallic embossing powder (gold, silver, pewter)

temporary adhesive, a heat gun, a scrap of white cardstock,

and a punch (I used a 1 3/4" circle punch)

to share a valentine's card I made for  a

swap at Kraftin' Kimmie Friends.

My swap partner was Miss Kimmie herself

and she has received her card now so I can share it with you. 

This darling bunny stamp is from a KK set called I{heart} You!

the sentiment is from another darling set called Lulu and Friends.

I added some little embossed hearts and teeny tiny pearls.

Wanted it to be special for her :o)

Christmas Greetings!

Hello friends!

After I finished my chores last night I sat and did some

browsing through my favorite challenge sites to see what I've

been missing lately.  I came across a couple that I just couldn't 

resist this week - so I quickly put together this card to play along:

Please ignore the crooked sentiment - arghh!! 

I stamped it the first time and it was way off - so I flipped the 

panel over and tried again and I still got it a bit off.

I even used my Stamp-m-Jig but I must have been had my head tilted.

 In any event - I didn't want to waste the cardstock

so I decided that the crooked sentiment would just have to 

add some "homemade" charm to the card - ha ha!

As soon as I saw the sketch at The Paper Players Challenge #215,

I remembered that I had these left over snowflakes from a previous class project.

They were just perfect for this - take a look

 

I also used the colors from The Challenge #15 (Always Playing with Paper)

which is one of my favorite color combos - especially for Christmas!

 

And last but not least...I'd like to enter this at 4 Crafty Chicks - 4 CC #213

where they want to see a Trio of Pairs (3 pairs of snowflakes).

 This stamp called Perfect Poison is just... well, "perfect" 

to use for this technique as she looks extra spooky.   

This is a bit larger card (due to the DSP banner that I used)
with a finished size of 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" - but it will still fit in a 5x7 envelope.
