my go to when stressed.  Let's face
it that sentiment couldn't be more true...

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #567 - LOVE

Hello friends! Happy Saturday!
Are you ready for another weekly theme
challenge at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS?!

How timely is that with Valentine's day right around the corner?
Usually I'm scrambling at the last few days to get my cards
done for this holiday.  If you are like me this is a great
opportunity to jump in and join our challenge.
You can enter as many times as you like (as long as each
entry is a new creation). We LOVE to see what you make!

For my creation today I used the Chubby Cloud stencil
(with Bubbly Blue ink) and a sentiment from
Together is Better! to make two quick, punny love cards.

This was a perfect design to use up some of my
extra die cut hearts that were scattered on my desk.

I'd like to share my cards in the following challenges too:

Thanks so much for popping in to visit me today!
Don't forget too about the super sized SALE
for Kimmie's birthday weekend

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #516 - Combine Two Sets (and a Birthday SALE!)

Haaaapppppyyyyyy Weekend friends!
I'm also so excited when the weekend is here - how about you?!
Holy cow and it's a new month.  Boy did January go by fast!

Today is the start of another weekly challenge for
KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS.
Each and every Saturday we post a new challenge for the
week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like!

What does that mean?  Well, we'd like to see you
use at least two different stamp sets together on your
krafty creation(s). Kinda like mix and match!
There are soooo many awesome KKS stamp sets
that compliment each other so well.  I hope you'll
give it a go and join us this week!

Here's something else you might like to see.
It's a MAKE YOUR OWN SALE.
There are no limits - if it's in the shop you
can get it on sale.  Whoo Hoo!
What a great opportunity to grab some more goodies
that have been on your wish list.  Happy Birthday Kimmie!
Image may contain: text

Here's my card the Challenge #516.
I combined the very versatile and lovely
HEARTS AND STARS! stamp set with the
newly released YOU'RE GNAW-SOME! stamp set.
I used the NEW Crisp Crimson hybrid ink for the
larger hearts (and sentiment) and Ruby Red hybrid ink
for the smaller hearts on the background panel.
I love the deep red color of the Crimson ink!
The hearts were stamped with the assistance of my
Stampin' Up! stamp platform. Made it easy peasy.
The wood strips are actually washi tape -something
I seldom use but seemed like it fit perfectly for this
card design.  The beavers are colored first with copics
and then touched up with prisma color pencils for more
depth and detail.  The overall card size is 5 1/2" square.

I'm also entering my card in the following challenges:

Thanks for popping in to visit me today!
You'll find more inspiration in the links to the blogs

I woke up this morning to a LOT of snow and
extremely cold wind/temperature - Yucky!

it wouldn't be too bad.  Wrong lol!
This chick is going to be staying home all day
crafting and snuggled up with my puppies!

some great KKS prizes, you have all week to enter

Here's the fun sketch

and here's the card I made with it for
an upcoming baby shower. I've had this stamp

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January 2019 New Release BLOG HOP

Hello, Hello! I'm so glad you're here to visit me today.
We have a terrific BLOG HOP from the Kraftin' Kimmie DT
and guests featuring the awesome NEW products for this month
from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

ALL the NEW products are now in the Krafty Shop!
That's FOUR NEW stamp sets, TWO new stencils,
TWO new sets enamel dots and the PRETTY IN PINK ink!
Maybe you'll be making your wish list as you hop along :o)
If you love it all there's a special GIMME KIMMIE kit
that's available at a discount for a limited time.

I have a one layer card with some gorgeous gold embossing
to share with you today.
I used each of the star stamps from HEARTS and STARS
(which is quickly becoming my one of my go to sets)!

I'm loving how easy it is to create one layer cards
with this set (and the new stencils)! I used my stamp
platform to get all the stars on at once and then
heat embossed them in gold.  Then I added a sentiment
from Let Your Light Shine using the KKS Wicked Black ink.

Here's another look that shows the gold embossing better.
Isn't it awesome how well these sentiments coordinate with this new set?!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

(my inspiration is the gold and black in the photo and my style is CAS)

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #367 - Hearts

Happy weekend crafty peeps!
Any big weekend plans?
Maybe watching the Superbowl?

Well...I know one thing you can do.
You can get crafty and join us at
where the theme for Challenge #367 is HEARTS!

Perfect theme with Valentine's day right around the corner!
(Ummm how weird is that? Wasn't it just Christmas?)

Here's my DT card to share with  you
using ONE CUP AT A TIME and a die cut panel
that has been sitting on my craft desk for over a year.
I used a combo of watercolor (around the inside of
the die heart shapes and the first layer of stripes on
the cup) and colored pencils to make this card.

If you follow my blog or pop in often to visit me then
you know that I LOVE to color with my copics.
However, I've really been loving all the pencil
creations I've been seeing and I've kind of  challenged
myself to learn how to use them better.  So I've purchased
a few colors and have been playing with them a bit.
Definitely not as easy for me as the copics.
I tend to be kind of heavy handed I guess in
my coloring as it is kind of "streaky" sometimes,
but I'll keep trying.  Practice, practice, practice!

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Color Throwdown #428 where I got this great color combo to use

and
Crafty Creations Challenges #334 - Anything Goes

Technique Tuesday - Cascading Card and Our Creative Corner Color Challenge

Hello friends - here it is Thursday already - Wow, where has the week gone?!  This card is a first for me - as it is the very first time I have made a cascading card!! Okay so I got a little overly generous with the hearts but I'm soooo excited that it turned out!  It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be thanks to the wonderful step by step tutorial by Mynnette at Technique Tuesday.  Honestly the hardest part for me was figuring out how to get the slots together - I'm kind of technically challenged that way - LOL!  Here are some more pics of this from different angles.

This is what it looks like when it is laying flat - the overall finished size is 4" x 7" so it will fit in a 5x7 size envelope.
So Mynnette, my dear, this one is for you!! Thanks for pushing me outside my box with your fun  Technique Tuesday- Cascading Card Challenge!  Hope you like this as much as I do!

I'm also entering this card in the Our Creative Corner Color Challenge because I used the colors for their challenge of Pink, Navy and one other color of your choice.  My colors are Pretty in Pink, Night of Navy and Regal Rose - isn't it a lovely combo?  I'm sure to use this color combo again and again.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad you did!  If you would like to try this cascading card challenge, I would recommend that you pop into Technique Tuesday and follow the great tutorial that Mynnette has put together for you.  I'm sure she would love to see what you create with it!  Til next time - Hugs!!
