CASology - POND and Less is More - Blue and Green

Hello my blog friends.  Tonight I made two cards that I would like to share with you.  The first card (above) is based on the CASology cue card - POND and Less is More Challenge - Week 79 Color -Blue and Green.
I thought and thought about how I wanted to make my pond card and decided to try something new.  I made my pond by inking up a piece of glossy white paper with two different Ranger distressing ink pads and then misting with  water.  I let it sit for a bit and then tapped off the excess water with a piece of tissue and heat set for good measure. I was going for a pond in the middle of a park type scene - hope that is what it looks like to you.  I think I did a pretty good job for a first attempt but the water does seem to kind of float out there a bit on the card so I have ideas on how to give this  a little better depth around the water next time.  I also decided to be a bit "artsy" and stamp my saying in the middle fo the pond. Not sure if the picture shows this very well, I very light sponged the sky with a light blue as well.  Hope you like this card - stay tuned for the second one I made tonight.  Thanks for stopping in to visit!

Supplies (all from Stampin Up! except as noted):  Cardstock - Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke (textured) and Glossy White.  Stamps - Lovely as a Tree and Pursuit of Happiness (sentiment).  The trees are stamped with a Ranger distressing ink called Cracked Paint and the sentiment is stamped with Not Quite Navy.
