Stella Says Catch #409 {Catch the Bug Challenges}

Hello sweet friends.  I have to laugh at myself

as I am typing this today.  It seems I always start

my blog posts the same way.  I think I need some 

new material but I struggle with what else I could say.

Should I say "What Up friends"?  Or maybe

"Hey how you doin'"?  Or something very off the

wall to see who's paying attention?  Hmmm...

will have to work on that for future posts. But

for now I'm very happy that you are here to visit me

so....hello sweet friends :o) !!!

Today is the start of another new Stella Says Sketch

at Catch the Bug Challenges - take a look at SSS#409

 It's a goodie I think - can be very simple

or can be very embellished. Can be flipped 

or it can be square - lots of possibilities I think.

Since I've been running around like a frazzled chicked

these past 3 or so weeks I decided to stick pretty 

true to the sketch and keep it simple.  No 

sentiment on this one so I can use it in a 

variety of ways later when I need a quick card

to send out to someone.  Here's my take on this fab sketch:

This sweet image is called BUGLBEAR (ladybug bear).

It's hard to see in this photo but I added some stickles

glitter glue to the middle of the flowers and the stem.

Fun right?!  Hope you like it!

Catch the Bug Challenges - Stella Says Sketch #404

Hello crafty peeps, hope each of you is doing well today!

Every other Sunday of each month at Catch the Bug Challenges 

there's a new STELLA SAYS SKETCH challenge for you to try.

Here's Sketch #404 - it's a goodie!!

This is kind of a long and skinny card sketch, but

it could also work well for a square or traditional A2 size.

  

I went with the long and skinny option and flipped  

the sketch vertically for my card today

(the overall size is 4" x 6")

This sweet little image called "Edward Valentine"

was perfect for my daughter's valentine this year

(she LOVES elephants).  I added my own handwritten

sentiment for a personal touch.

What a good looking holiday crew they are :o) 

I did a little extra snipping and layering of the main image

and added it to the base.  That strip of adorable paper is 

the last of a patterned paper stack that I just loved.

Stella Says Sketch Challenge #316

Hello friends so happy that you are here to visit me today!

I woke up this morning with a start realizing that I had

forgotten to get my post done for today's 

STELLA SAYS SKETCH challenge #316.

Oops - so sorry about that! 

This sketch is one that had me scratching my head a bit

I must admit, I had a long week and my brain just wasn't firing on all

it's crafty cylinders.  So I went with a bit of an interpretation of it.

This image is called "Bumpkin Trio" - aren't they adorable?!

Stella Says Sketch #311

Hello! Sure hope you're having a terrific day!

It's time for another terrific STELLA SAYS SKETCH Challenge
from Catch The Bug Challenges and here it is:


Oh boy I really, really like this one!
Who am I kiddin' ??? I like every one of the Stella Says Sketches.
Great way to put a framework around an idea for me.

Since it's summer here and the weather has been HOT lately
I decided to go with a kind of summery/picnic theme for
my Guest Designer card today - take a look:


Heheheee  - isn't this little fella cute (note: I do not think they
are cute in real life however!)?  He (or maybe it's a she) looks
very happy to be gnawing on that big ol' apple.
The digital image from Bugaboo Stamps is called "Picnic Ant - Apple"
and there are lots of other ants in the store to add to your collection as well.
The paper is by Doodlebug (so cute!) and the sentiment is from a stamp set
by Kraftin' Kimmie called "Chase Your Dreams" (another fun summer set).
I found these hexagon dies on clearance for $4 at a Michaels craft store
(whoo hoo - yes you heard it right $4!!) and I snatched them up pronto!
