Loss of Beloved Pet

Hello crafty friends.
Today I have a couple cards I made for friends/family
who have lost beloved pets recently.
This is such a sad reason to make a card.

There's a perfect stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
called Furry Angels for these type of cards.
When challenged with making difficult subject
cards, I look for sketches to give me a framework
to focus on.  The current Freshly Made Sketches
sketch #382 was perfect for keeping it simple
and yet beautiful.  Both of the cards use it.
Both images are colored with copic markers & fussy cut.

Here's the first one - I colored it to look
like my sister's sweet Jack Russell Terrier
named Jackie Ringo.  He was such a sweetie.

And here's the second for my friend

I'm sharing these cards in the following challenges:

Bottom Card
Thanks for popping in to visit me today and
allowing me to share my creations.  Hugs! D

Hi there and thanks for stopping in to visit my blog today!
We have a new theme challenge for you this week at
For Challenge #471 we want to see you use two main
stamped images  on your creation.  These can be from
the same set or two different sets.

Pull out your Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and pick two
to use on your creation.  We can't wait to see what
you make to sure with us.  It doesn't have to be a
card.  Your creation could be a scrapbook page,
an altered item, a 3D project or an ATC (just to
name a few options).  Just follow the theme
and you're eligible to be entered into the monthly
draw for a fabulous $40 gift card to the KKS Shop!

For my DT card today
I picked two of the adorable main images from
CUDDLES THE PUPPY for my card - take a peek:

The images are colored with copic markers.  The fun, bright
papers and doily are from  Doodlebug Design.
The enamel dots are from KKS RAINBOW DOTS collection.
My favorite embellishment to add to cards most
definitely has to be enamel dots.  What's yours?

I'm also entering my card in the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #331 Anything Goes

Pugs and Kisses

Hello!  I'm so happy to be blogging today after about
6 months of very little crafting time and no blogging.

Our family has had a LOT of changes since February.
I started a new job, we sold our house, downsized into a
new place, our daughter graduated high school, our son
finished his first year of graduate schooling and got married.
And...tomorrow we move our daughter to college and become
empty-nesters. EEEK!  I'm not so sure I like the sound
of that last part of the sentence above.  It will be a change for
us to be sure!  Thankfully she isn't moving terribly far away.

Anyway...back to the reason for this post.  I was asked by
a friend to make a small card for one of her friends who loves pugs.
I jumped at the reason to get crafty and color with my copics again.
She wanted it to be small (less than 4 inches) to fit on a special gift
she was making, a pug on it ( I chose three  because she has three)
and lots of glitter. Oh dear... anyone who knows me knows that
I'm not a huge fan of glitter. I can't handle the mess it leaves
everywhere and it seems like you find it forEVER - LOL.
But I do like glitter paper (much cleaner), so that's what I used.
I used the sketch from the Mix It Up Challenge #46 at SugarPea Designs.
No automatic alt text available.

I used the Caring Critters clear stamp set and dies from
SugarPea Designs. I love this sweet set!
I made the sentiment on my computer because that's what
she wanted it to say.
I found some glittery washi tape to add to the sentiment too.
Here's the finished 3 1/2" square card. She loved it!

I'm entering the following challenges too that fit for this card:

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me today!
I hope to be back soon and sharing more of my crafty
makes!  Hugs and happy crafting to all of you.  D
