Blast Off - Love you to the Moon and Back!

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Today I'd like to share a clean but layered card I made
using a fabby Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps set
called BLAST OFF and a galaxy background
(made with distress oxide inks). This stamp set is perfect
for that fun technique.  I wish you could see the
different colors behind the dark overall color
a little better in the photo - it's so pretty IRL!

I colored this sweet spaceship image during a video on
Now I can share the finished card using that image.
If you're interested in seeing the video you can click here
(if you aren't a member - just ask to join).

This super duper adorable stamp set also has two more main images
of a boy astronaut and his astronaut pup with a couple
more fun sentiments.  AND guess what... it's on SALE this week
at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps for 40% off.  Wow - that's a great deal!
Need I say more - hehe!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
I was inspired by the fun bright colors, the layers and the dark
background in the photo below. My card fits the Clean and Layered style.

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me today! Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #401 - HOLIDAY

Hello hello - how are you?!
It's the last Saturday of September already - wow!
The theme challenge this week at
KRAFTIN' KIMMIE
CHALLENGE #401 - is to make a Holiday creation.
There's a couple easy peasy ones coming up...
Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I chose Christmas as my holiday.
These two lovely carolers are from HOLIDAY STYLE
which happens to be on sale this weekend as part of the
FRUGAL FRIDAY Sale (through the weekend while
supplies last).  The sentiment is from another
beautiful Christmas set called Holly Jolly.
I used my Prisma color pencils on this
and then added distress oxide ink for shading and
liquid pearls for the snow fall.
Boy those colored pencils are not as easy for
me to use as my copics are.  Mostly I struggle with
which shades are supposed to be blended or shaded into
the others (like EO2 goes with E04 etc.).  I am pretty happy
though with the skin this time as that's been my biggest
challenge with pencils so far.  I just keep practicing :o)

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

I sure hope that you will decide to join us for this challenge
and share you own beautiful holiday creation with us.
I can't wait to see what you make!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - #400 Distress It

Oh yaaaaaa it's Saturday and time for another
new challenge at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE!
The theme for challenge #400 is DISTRESS IT.
Our hostess Mindy wants to see you use distress inks.
Ohhhh what fun - right!
Distress oxides are all the rage right now and I can
sure see why.  I only have 4 colors but have decided I
need more (okay maybe want is the more appropriate word).
I've used one of my favorite stamps sets from this month's
new release - MINI MONSTERS :o).

Thanks for stopping in to visit me today!
I hope you will come play along with us this week
and share your own distress ink creation!
Happy weekend lovies!

My Favorite Things 2017 Card Design Superstar Contest - CAS Birthday

hello friends!
I was so excited to see this fabulous contest happening
at My Favorite Things - did you see it too???
In case you missed it I'll quickly fill ya in.
MFT is holding a contest for an opporunity to
be a Card Design Superstar and there are (of course)
absolutely AMAZING PRIZES
 - more than $4,000 for the FIFTEEN winners!
The contest ends tonight at 10PM EST.
There are 3 different categories to participate in:
CLEAN and SIMPLE Genius
COLORING VIRTUOSO
INNOVATION MASTER

I love MFT products and have quite a
stash (many of which I haven't inked up or used yet)
but life has been a tad (okay more than a tad) bit crazy
for me lately and I wasn't sure I was going to have a
chance to participate.  Well...I stayed up late last night
and was able to get at least one card made to enter.

I decided to stretch myself and go with the CAS category
since that is the one style I make the least amount of
cards with.  I made a card that I was so super excited about
BUT... as I picked it up from my craft table I somehow had
gotten my finger and thumb in some red ink and left two
not so lovely fingerprints right on the card. UGH!
I was so disgusted with myself that I just had to go to bed.
This morning I got up and decided I was going to make a
another card but a little differently (didn't want the bad juju again).
Here's what I came up with

I used the following MFT products:
Make a Wish stamp set (sentiments)

So...thanks for visiting me and please wish me good luck!
It would be so amazing to win.  There are some unbelievable
entries so far.  I'm really glad that I don't have to choose :o)
You can find my card and many other awesome CAS creations by
clicking here. Happy Thursday! Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Krafty Komeback "DandyLion"

Happy Fri-YAY!
Today we have another fantastic re-release of
a retired rubber stamp set.  We call it the
KRAFTY KOMEBACK at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!

If you aren't familiar with the krafty komebacks they are
previously retired rubber stamps.  When Kimmie
switched to the fabulous clear stamps the original
rubber ones were no longer made.  When they were sold
out they were gone for good. However, Kimmie was able to
have her artists re-make some of the fan favorites
in the new fabulous clear sets.

I'm so excited about this month's krafty komeback
because she was on my wish list for a long time
and then when I decided to get her she was gone.
I was jumping for joy to see her again (with some
new subtle differences that  make her even cuter)!
Meet DANDYLION! She was one of the most popular
images from artist Annie Rodrigue!

Here's my creation using this AhhhhDorable stamp
My background is made with Distress inks and the NEW
Distress Oxide inks.  I love love love how fun they are
to use.  I only  have two colors right now but will most
definitely be getting more! I also watercolored
Miss Dandylion with the regular distress inks and
added some depth with Prismacolor pencils. Such a
fun card to make!  I'm so tickled to share it with you today!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

DANDYLION is now available in the Krafty Store!!!
Ready set GO!!! You know you want her :o)

It's also Frugal Friday and there's FOUR fabulous sets
on SALE 40% OFF! But only for the weekend and only while
supplies last! So be sure to check them out!

Thanks for visiting me today! Please pop on down to the links
below and see what some of the other krafty crew have to
share with (and tempt/enable) you too!  Hugs! D
