KRAFTIN KIMMIE STAMPS NEW Release Feb 2017 BLOG HOP

Happy Sunday and Hello!
Today we have a really fun BLOG HOP
for you showcasing the awesome NEW Release

Woohoo! It's finally here!
ALL of the FOUR new clear stamp sets for February
are now in the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop and
we're celebrating with a Krafty HOP!
So grab a nice hot beverage, sit back and relax while you hop
around and enjoy all the amazing creations from the
Krafty Design Team and Guests!!

Such a terrific month - especially for those who like masculine
images.  I think Kimmie and her artists have knocked it out of the park!

My card today features another fantastic guy image from
"SPORTY BOYS" which I've colored up like my
best friend's son's uniform so I can send it to him.
I didn't have any baseball papers so I made my own
using this terrific die cut panel (Your Next Stamp) as
my guide.  I cut the sentiment into individual words so
it would fit on the large baseball (Simple Stories "So Rad" collection).
I did some more doodling to make the baseballs and added
my favorite embellishment to use on cards - enamel dots.
Kinda fun huh?!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Oh hey.... check this out too before you go!
*SUPER SECRET KRAFTY KLUB!*
Don't forget the you have until the 15th to get your order in for the Secret Klub set!
The only clues you get for this set are 1) it's a set by artist Annie Rodrigue
and 2) the theme is fairytales! Check out the main KKS blog for more details.
Thanks for visiting me today! Hugs D

lightning and thunder show I've seen in quite awhile.  This
was followed by the most gorgeous rainfall.  I stood on my front
porch for quite awhile and just reveled in the sound and smell of it!
Not sure what the weather will be today - but I'm hoping not as hot.

So I'm here today to share my latest creation for the

are celebrating and kiddos are mourning this event :o)

some fun papers from Doodlebug 6 x 6 paper pad called

CCC49 - Use a Tag, Nacho Average Challenge #56 - Sketch, C4C206 - Halloween 4CCC#162 - Fall/Autumn

Hello friends and followers, so happy you've stopped in to visit me today.  A quick post to share a fun card I made for the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew #49 - Use a Tag (CCC49)
Nacho Average Challenges #56 - Sketch (see below)
Crazy 4 Challenges #206 (C4C206) - Halloween
4 Crafty Chicks #162 (4CCC) - Fall/Autumn

This card will be going to my son's girlfriend.  I hope she likes it :o)

I used a combo of old and new products on my card. Cardstock colors: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Rick Razzleberry (all SU!).  The coloring of the cute little witch was inspired by the colors in my DSP (SU!).  I used copic markers - kind of wish I hadn't made her face so dark - but it's still fun. The ribbon is also some left over from a couple Halloween's ago (SU).  The ticket punch and dies are from Stampin' Up! and the stamps are from Paper Smooches (a new recent purchase).

Lots to do this last day of the weekend, so off I go.  Thanks for letting me share with you :o)

ATS&M #42 - Make Your Mark

Hello friends and followers - so nice to have you visit me today.  Time for one of my favorite challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More - #42 - Make Your Mark.  I love this challenge because it gives me a chance to pull out my markers and color to my heart's content.  This week I used another darling digital image from Heather Ellis who is the sponsor for ATS&M this month.  We still have snow here in Montana so I decided to go with a very cheery color scheme to perk up my mood.  I've used some retired SU papers from my stash called Cheerful Treat (2011/2012) and a couple newer Sizzlit framelits die cuts (Labels) to make my card. The green cardstock is called Gumball Green - it's one of my favorite greens.

I apologize for the rubbish photo this week - both my cameras ran out of charge at the same time (do you think I could find my charging cords - no!) and my phone just refused to take a decent pic until about the 10th try (this one is still a bit out of focus).  I know better than to wait until the last minute to get my cards done and the photos taken - but yet again here I was rushing at the last minute and swearing like a sailor (yes, I'm embarrassed to say that I do do that on occasion) as I was trying to figure out how to get my card in in time.  Does anyone have a magic PAUSE button that I can borrow for when life seems to be moving faster than I have the energy for?  If so... please let me know - I'll be indebted to you forever LOL.  Too much stuff that has to be done and not enough time for the fun stuff - like paper crafting and card making. What's up with that anyway??? I'm sure that I'm not the only one who suffers from this ailment :o)  Finish this sentence... "You know that you are obsessed with Papercrafting when..."  I could come up with a whole bunch of sentence enders - LOL.

Ok, so let's get back to the challenge at hand before I drive you bonkers with my complaining.  Won't you please pop on over and see the fabulous creations the rest of the ATS&M design team has come up with for your delight and inspiration?  I hope your life isn't moving too fast to allow you to join us this week 'cause I can't wait to see what you make and share with us.  Til next time... hugs and happy crafting! D

Stampendous - Focus on the Sentiment, Sweet Stampin - Out of the Frame, CSAYL #25 - Non traditional Colors, CCAYR - Kids and Unscripted Sketches #173

Hello friends -  I'm really excited about this card as it turned out exactly as I had "dreamed" it and I think it is just too cute (sorry to toot my own horn - just can't help it)!  Hope you like it too.

I am entering this card in the following five challenges:
Sweet Stampin' - Out of the Frame where they want to see part of the image sticking out of the frame. My image (the three wise men) is sticking out of the word frame.

Christmas Cards All Year Round - Kids

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long #25 - Non Traditional Colors (mine are blue, yellow/gold and razzleberry).  I think my pattern is a bit non-traditional too.

Unscripted Sketches #173 (see below) which I have flipped and loosely interpretted the four squares in the sketch to be the three wise men and the gifts they are bearing.

I'm also entering this card for the first time over at the Stampendous  Challenge Blog where the theme for August is Focus on the Sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my card - I'm sure glad that  you did!  Til next time... Hugs and Happy Crafting!

Supplies: Cardstock (base and layering) Rich Razzleberry (SU) and Summer Sun (a retired SU color) and Neenah Solar White.  DSP - International Bazaar (SU).  Stamps - "First Christmas" and "Wise Kiddos" both from Stampendous.  The poem is colored and stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink (SU). I tore the edges around the poem and ran a copic marker around the edge for some definition.  The darling kids were stamped with Memento Ink (black) and colored Copic markers and Spica gel pens.  I also added a touch of glitter around the trim of their coats with my SU dazzling details white glitter glue.  I popped the three wise men (kiddos) up with SU dimension dots (got them a bit crooked from where I initially wanted them - but they were not coming back up without a fight - so you might need to tilt your head just a bit to get the best view of my card - lol).

Mo's DP2 Challenge #142 - "Anything Goes w/a Mo's image"

Hello friends and Happy Monday!  Today I woke up to beautiful sunshine and a very light breeze.   Took the dogs to get groomed, dropped my daughter off for her summer camp and grabbed a cup of coffee and life was good.  Then I arrived at my hairdressers to get a cut and color (a much needed color I might add) only to find out that I had the right time but the wrong day! Oh Boy!! Sometimes I really wonder about myself!  So back I go tomorrow - LOL.  So I used my time to get some errands done instead.  By 1 pm it was so blasted hot outside (93 degrees) that I decided it would be much more fun to stay inside in the air conditioning and make some more cards ;o)

I have a dear friend who has been going through some rough times lately. She recently had to put her beloved dog down due to cancer which was very, very hard for her.  Her normal response when things get tough is to laugh - deep belly laughs. But when she get over the top with everything she laughs in more of a histerical manner. I've heard that in her voice quite a bit lately and decided that I need to make her a card to let her know how much I appreciate that she just keeps laughing, and that eventually it will be better (somehow by the grace of God it always is). She loves bold, bright and rich colors so that was the inspiration for my color theme as well.  Here's a peek at what I did on the inside:
The theme this week at Mo's DP2 Challenge #142  is "Anything Goes w/a Mos image".  I have been fussing around with this card for about three days trying to get it just right.  I think this newer large shaped Sizzix die kind of threw me for a loop and I had a hard time trying to fit embellishments around it.  It was either too much or too little it seemed.  So... I finally decided I liked the more rather than the less and to just go with it. I don't think it's my very best work, but I'm pleased with how my coloring turned out and I'm sure it will be appreciated by my friend when she opens it.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad that you did!  Hope you enjoy this card as well.  Hugs!

Details and Supplies:  Finished card size is 5 1/4" square.  This darling Mo's image is called "I Dunno - reduex" and it can be found at Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored her and her friend Bronte with Copic markers.  The DSP is a retired stash from Stampin Up called Tea Party.  The flowers were made with the following punches - Blossum (larger red flowers), Boho Blossoms (medium sized flowers) and the triple flower punch (small flowers - retired).  Sizzix die - Apothecary Accents Framelits. The conversation bubble is from Close to My Heart - I inked it up with Daffodil Delight from Stampin Up before adding my own saying.  The final embellishment was some bright buttons in Real Red and some basic pearls for the flower centers.

Mo's DP2 Challenge #138 - Anything Goes w/a Mo's Image

Hello Friends - Happy Monday to you!  Monday's can be happy right?  Today I am entering this card in the DP2 Challenge #138 - Anything Goes w/a Mo's Image. I like to participate in the Mo Manning DP2 Challenges because I love the darling images and I get to color them with my copic markers.  This darling image is called "Done" from Mo's digital shop and she just  makes me smile.  I printed her twice and cut out the front part of her skirt to layer it on top of the original one.  It doesn't show up at all in this picture (darn!) but in real life it has an almost 3D effect. The sentiment is from Stampin Up.  By keeping this card quite simple the cutie on the front is the first thing you notice. It wasn't my original intent to keep it that simple - I had all kinds of great ideas but... I printed her too big and wasn't up to the task last night of fussy cutting around her - LOL.  I also started out going for a monochromatic theme but then decided that a pink star just wouldn't do :o).  I do like this card though - sometimes Plan B is just as wonderful if we are willing to adapt.

Hope this card makes you smile too!  Thanks for stopping by to visit - I'm sure glad you did.  Happy Monday to you - Hugs!
