Merry Christmas Tag

Hello friends and followers!

A special hello to my newest follower Debra.
So happy to have you along for the ride in my creative journey.

A quick post for me tonight as I have a crazy day
tomorrow at work and need my beauty rest :o)

I don't make a lot of tags as I'm kind
of fussy about the tag matching the package.
And usually by the time I get my gifts wrapped
I'm completely out of time to make a tag.
However...I made one tonight that
I think will go with most any wrapping.
Take a look:

Dog stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie - Snow Much Love (set)

Sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie - Christmas Cheer (set)

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge #259 - Tag, You're It!

613 Avenue Create Challenge #101 - Anything Goes w/optional

create your own challenge.  I used:

stamped image, charm & sentiment, solid color paper, buttons and ribbon.

Come and Get it Challenges - Merry Christmas (anything but a card)

The Corrosive Challenge Blog #214 - Anything Goes

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #223 - Animals

So... it's off to bed for me now.

Bugaboo's 2nd Annual Holiday Chaos

Good morning crafty friends!

I was a craftin' fool yesterday.

I spent most of the day in my jammies

and just completely enjoyed myself -

was feeling sooo happy!

Today I need to do all the chores

I neglected yesterday and

maybe do a little bit of Christmas shopping.

But before I get to that I'd like to

share a card with you  that I made to join in the fun

at Bugaboo's 2nd Annual Holiday Chaos

take a look:

Now I don't usually find mice to be very cute

but this one is stinkin' adorable :o)

The first day of the Bugaboo Holiday Chaos Challenge

is  Sparkle and Shine (glitter, sparkle, gems, pearls).

I used some sparkly paper from my stash,

some stickles sparkle glue on the candy cane

some sparkly dots and a little red rhinestone.

Honestly the photo just doesn't do all that sparkle

true justice - it's a bright and shiny card!

I used Sketch Saturday's Sketch #339 to make this

yummy layered creation - so I'm entering that challenge.

I'm also entering this in the Kit and Clowder

December challenge - Animals

Robyn's Fetish Challenge #241 - Christmas Cards

Come and Get it Challenges - Merry Christmas

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!

Chilly Christmas Wishes

Hello friends and followers.

It's really looking like Christmas at my house.
We have our tree and Christmas decorations up.
This is the earliest I have done it in about 15 years!
The Christmas decorating then turned into a massive
clean out of the storage closet area - UGH!
This then led me to exclaim "I am NEVER purchasing another
Christmas decoration". Which I quickly revised to say  "At least not
until I get rid of some more stuff".  LOL.
Hmmm... I think I've said that about my crafting supplies too.

I'm back again with another card to share with you
that I am using as my third entry
for the Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Guest contest.
Kimmie says we can enter as many times as we like
(until the 14th of December).  I LOVE Kraftin' Kimmie stamps
so much that I just can't help myself!  I really
would like to be a Krafty Guest Designer again.
So...I figure it can't hurt my chances by
entering as many times as I can - he he.

Here's my card:

Stamp & sentiment from "Just Chillin'!" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Since I plan to give this card to someone right away

I finished the inside (often I don't finish the inside until later).

Sentiment from "Christmas Cheer" and penguin from "Just Chillin'"

I CASEd Krafty Gal Tracy's style on this -

she often stamps an image from the set on the

inside of the card too.  Fun huh?

Aren't these little penguins just about

the cutest thing you ever saw?

Confession time...both the stamp set and papers are new

and I haven't yet gotten rid of anything else.

What??? Did I say I wouldn't buy anything else

until I got rid of something first?? No Way!

I mean how could I help myself when this is so stinkin' cute?

I guess I should never say NEVER - hahahaha!

Okay so enough from me for now.
I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Kraftin Kimmie - Wonderful Wednesday Challenge (Dec)
Kylie is Addicted to Stamps - Christmas Card challenge

52CCT - December Pick A Previous

Hello friends!

A little late with my DT post for this month's

challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown.

I've been staying up late this whole

week working on a project for

a local craft store.  In my mind I had

done my card last week but realized last

night as I was getting ready to dash off to bed

that I had totally soooo forgotten to get it done.

Gulp!!

We are usually at weekly challenge at 52CCT

but since December is such a busy month

we decided to do just one challenge

and give you LOTS of room

for creative choice by

offering a Pick ANY Previous Challenge.

That means you have free range to

use any theme, color or sketch challenge

in the archives to make a Christmas card creation!

(Please just tell us which one(s) you used).

Here's my DT card to share with you

using a Sketch Challenge from February 2014

and a digital image from our very

generous challenge sponsor - Deedee's Digis.

digital image by Deedee's image - Country Christmas

I did some distressing around all

the edges of my card.  I wonder why I don't do

this technique more often as I love the look of it.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Virginia's View Challenges - December - All Things Distressed

Christmas Card Challenges #53 - Anything Goes

The Corrosive Challenges #213 - Happy Everything

Divas by Design - Feeling Festive

Inkspirational challenge #71 - Anything Goes with Gold

The December challenge runs from the 6th to the 19th.

My lovely and talented 52CCT DT pals have also

made some gorgeous Christmas creations for your inspiration.

Go check them out and say "hi" while you are there.

Did I mention that our sponsor for this month's challenge

is offering a terrific prize to the TOP HONOR?

Check out the details on the 52CCT challenge site.

What are you waiting for - get crafting - you can

always use another Christmas card for your stash :o)

Til next time...hugs and merry crafting! D

MTTC #270 - Artist Trading Card

Hello sweet friend and followers!

Time for another weekly challenge

at My Time to Craft (MTTC).

MTTC#270 is to create a Artist Trading Card (ATC).

I've been aware of these but didn't really know the

specifics as to size and have not created one

until today. Take a look:

The finished size on this is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".

Sort of like your crafty business card :o.

The fun part about this is that it's a small

little token that you can give people to

represent your crafty self.  The challenge with

this is that its hard to put much in such

a small space and keep it looking nice

(at least that was the challenging part for me)

I decided to keep it kind of simple and

use texture to "pump up the wow"

Haha - did I just show my age?

I can just see my kids rolling their eyes

and saying "Oh Mommm"!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Divas by Design - Team B Feeling Festive

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Simon Says Wednesday Challenges - Christmas/Holidays

I hope that you will join us this week at MTTC.

Such a busy time of year - so take care of yourself

and do something crafty each day to keep your sanity :o)

Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting! D

Sending Christmas Cheer

Hello friends and followers -
A special shout out to my newest follower Mason Jar Cards
so happy to have you along!

So here it is HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY - whoot whoot.
If I seem to be especially excited about that, it's because I am.
This felt like the longest work week in history
and I am so glad that I can be home this weekend
and spending some time in my craft room.

I have another card to share with you that I'm using as
my 2nd entry in the Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Guest Contest
Take a Look:

Eeekkk - isn't this just the cutest image?!
I played around with adding some texture
with frontage and flowersoft (outfit).

I happened to notice that this stamp
also happens to be part of this week's
FRUGAL FRIDAY sale at Kraftin Kimmie.
If I were you, I scoop him up...
oh wait... I did already :o).

I'd best quit blabbing and finish this post as
I'm running short on time to get this into the
Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #258
based on this sketch.

I'd also like to enter these challenges as well:
Simon Says Wonderful Wednesday -  Christmas/Holidays

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Let it Snow
Through the Purple Haze - All About Christmas
Inky Impressions #188 (IIC188) Snow
Crafting for All Seasons #91 - 'Tis the Season

Hello friends and happy weekend to each of you!

I've recently started playing along with the challenges

at Sketch Saturday.

I LOVE to use sketches when making my cards.

In fact, I will often search for a sketch

before I look for a theme to fit an image that I want to use.

Just helps me put a framework around my ideas.

I noticed that there is a DT call going on

at Sketch Saturday and would really like

to throw my hat in the ring.

To apply I need to:

* tell you about myself and my experience

My name is Danielle Vincent

I live in Helena, Montana (USA)
(email address has been sent to Nikki)

I've been paper crafting for many years and

started blogging my cards here about three years ago.

I am currently a designer for the following challenges

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown (since 2011)

My Time to Craft Challenges (since June 2014).

I have also belonged to these DTs over the past 3 years

Addicted to Stamps and More! (2 years)

All Beautiful Cards "ABC" (1 year)

Deedee's Digis (6 months)

and been fortunate to be a guest designer on a couple others

Catch the Bug Challenges (May 2014)
Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog (September 2014).

I'd like to be on the Sketch Saturday team because
I LOVE to use sketches (oh, I said that already :o) ).
And because I really like the different crafting styles of each of

the current DT members and would like to be part of their crafty team
ohhhh AND there are terrific sketches offered each week :o).

Last but not least...creating cards and sharing them with the wonderful

on-line crafty community is my therapy from an often stressful occupation.

*now I will show 3 samples of my best work:

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me - wish me luck please :o)
