Make Your Own Background - Kraftin' Kimmie Celebration weekend Challenge #1

Goooood Day sweet crafting friends!
This weekend we have some really fun challenges
in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends Facebook Group
to celebrate Kimmie's birthday and reaching more than
6,000 followers in the group! We have a series of
challenges for you to participate in. You have all
week to enter and there's prize opportunities!

The first challenge is to make your own background.
I usually default to patterned papers (I have an embarrassingly
large amount of that stashed in my craft space), but
lately I've been having a lot of fun using stencils instead.

My first card to share with you today uses the
HAPPY HEARTS STENCIL with the inspiring
stamp sets YOU ARE SUPER and
HAPPY THOUGHTS (all from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps)
I started with a watercolor wash on the base
with two different colors.  After that dried
I used some Bobunny glitter paste with the
stencil.  A little different style from my
usual but I'm really happy with how it turned out!

This second card was made using Brusho Crystals
on a watercolor paper panel (yellow, orange and red)
and again the YOU ARE SUPER stamp set.

Both of these cards are going to two amazing women
who have or are fighting against breast cancer.  I'm truly
in awe of their strength and positive attitudes.

(inspired by the pink and hearts)

and
TIME OUT Challenges #128 - Home Sweet Home Photo inspiration
(I was inspired by the hearts)

And I'm entering the second card in these challenges:
Jo's Scrap Shack Fun Friday Challenges #267 Always Anything Goes
Krafty Chicks Challenges  #440 Crazy Egg Anything Goes

If you like these products I've shown you, there's a special
SALE code for this weekend only KIMIS48 to get
25% off your entire order (regular priced items only).

Thanks so much for visiting me today! I hope you are getting
some good crafty time in this weekend! Hugs! D

Blast Off - Love you to the Moon and Back!

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Today I'd like to share a clean but layered card I made
using a fabby Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps set
called BLAST OFF and a galaxy background
(made with distress oxide inks). This stamp set is perfect
for that fun technique.  I wish you could see the
different colors behind the dark overall color
a little better in the photo - it's so pretty IRL!

I colored this sweet spaceship image during a video on
Now I can share the finished card using that image.
If you're interested in seeing the video you can click here
(if you aren't a member - just ask to join).

This super duper adorable stamp set also has two more main images
of a boy astronaut and his astronaut pup with a couple
more fun sentiments.  AND guess what... it's on SALE this week
at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps for 40% off.  Wow - that's a great deal!
Need I say more - hehe!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
I was inspired by the fun bright colors, the layers and the dark
background in the photo below. My card fits the Clean and Layered style.

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me today! Hugs! D

Krafty Skrappy Challenge - January 2019

Hello sweet blog friends and followers.
It's the end of the month so that means we have
a new Krafty Skrappy Challenge starting again
at Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges.

What's a Krafty Skrappy challenge you might ask?
The short answer is that it's a challenge where you can make
ANYTHING BUT A CARD.  But that's really the only limitation.
Scrapbook pages, bookmarks, gifts, gift bags, tags,
journal pages, planner pages...you get the idea I'm sure.
Just be sure to include a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp (or
stencil).  When we get at least five entries there will
be a prize opportunity for a $20 voucher to the KKS shop.

I recently made up some fun tags to put on goody gifts bags
for my daughter and several of her friends to support them
during their first ever finals week at college.
I put all kinds of treats in each of them. It was so much fun
and they loved it! I have a feeling I started something that
they will now hope I continue each semester end.
I used the NEW Hearts and Stars clear stamp set
and combined it with sentiments from Happy Thoughts
to make the tags for each of the gift bags.

Here they are on some of the bags

So what will you make to share with us this?
You have until Feb 25th to play along.
Looking forward to seeing your entry!
Hugs D!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #495 - Layers

Hello!  Hope you're having a fantastic day!
I'm happy you are here because it's the start of
another fun challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges.
The theme for this weeks Challenge #495 is LAYERS.

I love layers - the more the better as far as I'm concerned.
I pulled out some of my favorite Doodlebug patterned papers and
stamped one of the adorable bears from the fun NEW stamp
set called BEARY LOVE in  KKS Marvellous Mocha ink
which is fantastic for a little lighter outline to color in
(the sentiment is from a retired KKS set).
Then I added lots of layers with colored cardstock.
Viola! Hope you like it!

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting With Friends Challenge #78 - anything goes
Creative Fingers Challenge blog challenge #156 - anything goes
Jo's Scrap Shack #266 - Anything Goes
STAMPlorations January Challenge - theme Stamps & Animals

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #566 - Critters
Crafting by Designs: Layer it UP!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Have A Heart
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #325 - photo inspiration
My main inspiration from this is the theme of love and the heart
shaped key hole surrounded by the red door.

Thanks for visiting me today! Now please go visit the
rest of the krafty DT to see some more fantastic
krafty inspiration with LAYERS.  Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #464 - Flowers

Hello crafty friends - Happy Weekend!
The theme for this week's challenge at
is.... FLOWERS

You can interpret this however you wish...
as long is you include flowers.  You can add flowers
to your creation, you can make a flower shaped creation,
you can use flowered papers on your creation, or of course
you can use flower images on your card, scrapbook page
3D or altered item.  We just wanna see some flowers
somewhere, somehow on your entry.
And of course, we especially LOVE it when you share
your creations with us using Kraftin' Kimmie products!!

My creation is a sympathy card for a friend.

The background was made using the NEW
Happy Hearts Stencil (just released last week)
The pretty blue flowers are from Buds and Blooms
(the green leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow KKS ink).
The sentiment is from a retired KKS rubber stamp set.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
(my new is the heart stencil)

Thanks so much for visiting me today.
Take time to smell the flowers (even the imaginary ones).
Hugs! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January 2019 New Release BLOG HOP

Hello, Hello! I'm so glad you're here to visit me today.
We have a terrific BLOG HOP from the Kraftin' Kimmie DT
and guests featuring the awesome NEW products for this month
from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

ALL the NEW products are now in the Krafty Shop!
That's FOUR NEW stamp sets, TWO new stencils,
TWO new sets enamel dots and the PRETTY IN PINK ink!
Maybe you'll be making your wish list as you hop along :o)
If you love it all there's a special GIMME KIMMIE kit
that's available at a discount for a limited time.

I have a one layer card with some gorgeous gold embossing
to share with you today.
I used each of the star stamps from HEARTS and STARS
(which is quickly becoming my one of my go to sets)!

I'm loving how easy it is to create one layer cards
with this set (and the new stencils)! I used my stamp
platform to get all the stars on at once and then
heat embossed them in gold.  Then I added a sentiment
from Let Your Light Shine using the KKS Wicked Black ink.

Here's another look that shows the gold embossing better.
Isn't it awesome how well these sentiments coordinate with this new set?!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
The Card Concept #106  - Photo Inspiration

(my inspiration is the gold and black in the photo and my style is CAS)
Make it Monday Challenge #87 Use Words or a Sentiment
Cupcake Inspirations Challenges CIC461 Sparkle and Sprinkle (photo)

There's a lot more inspiration waiting for you from the rest of
the KKS DT and krafty guests - all  you have to do is click on
