Hey Cute Ghoul - Happy Halloween

Hello friends and followers - so happy that you've stopped by to visit me today.  I have a card to share with you that I made for my sweet teen daughter for Halloween.  I made a fancy fold card recently for my DT card at 52CCT and I had so much fun with that I decided to practice some more and make another one.  I was so pleased to see the HUGE grin on my daughter's face this morning and she said "This is the prettiest card you've ever made"!  I'm not sure if its the best one I've ever made, but I kind of think its close :o) This is the last Halloween card I made for the season and I'm so tickled that it made my little girl smile.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks Crazy Egg Challenge #166 - Halloween
Mo Manning's Digital Challenge #208 - Fantasy w/a Mo's image
Stampin' Royalty Challenge #200 - Anything Goes
Twisted Tuesday Challenge 2TC62 - Free for All (make anything you want - twist is anything goes)
Corrosive Challenge #186 - Tic-Tac-Toe (I used the middle row)

The digital image is from Mo Manning called "teen witch" and is colored with copic markers. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches (so perfect for this image), flowers are from my stash, and the papers are from a DCWV halloween stack that I picked up on sale at my local craft store this past weekend.

That's all for tonight - til next time friends... hugs and happy crafting! D

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #69 CAS, ATCAS - One Layer and DD#76

Hello friends and followers - happy last week of October.  This week at ATS&M Challenge #69 is CAS.  I thought I'd switch gears a bit from the halloween track that I've been on lately and make a birthday card.   I apologize for the poor photo - think I need to recharge the camera (that really is a white card base).

The sentiment is from one of my oldest and most favorite sets. You might have seen another one of these stamps used yesterday on my card for ABC Challenges.  While I had the set out, I thought it might be fun to use another one of them.

My colors were based on the pretty combo at  Dynamic Duos #76 (see below) - the sentiment is in Perfect Plum and the balloons are in Wisteria Wonder.
and since I did go with a one layer card I'm also sharing it over at the ATSM sister challenge called ATCAS where the code word is... yup, you guessed it ONE LAYER.

One layer CAS cards are very difficult for me - but hey...that's why it's called a challenge - it's all about stretching yourself creatively :o)  Several of my DT pals from ATSM also are on the DT for ATCAS - they do such a fabulous job and I don't get to play along over there as much as I might like to - except for today.
I sure hope that you will go visit the rest of the DT at ATS&M and then decide to play along with us this week.  There's a fabulous prize to be won - how can you resist the temptation to try????

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me - I'm sure glad that you did. Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Seeing Shades of Purple for Dynamic Duos #76

Hello friends! I'm excited to share something a bit different for me today.  I made 2 - yes TWO - one layer cards. Shut the front door!! I was up late and on a roll - haven't been sleeping much lately due to a bit of work stress that keeps me awake. Decided to do something productive and try a technique that I haven't used for quite a while (or terribly successfully I might add).

My color combo is from the Dynamic Duos Challenge #76 - Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum.

I first inked up the block(s) with the Wisteria Wonder and then stamped over the top of the blocked spot(s) with the Perfect Plum.  At first I was disappointed that I didn't get a very even effect across the block when I transferred to the paper. But then I decided that this is exactly what I do like about it (does that make sense?)  because it is definitely a one of a kind that probably wouldn't look the same no matter how many times I did it.

I asked my daughter what she thought and she really liked the Wishes card but kind of wrinkled her nose at the Happiness card.  She said "I like them but they are different from what you usually make".  Exactly!! That's what I was going for - LOL.

What do you think? Do you like it - or do you think it looks "messy"?  I'm really curious since it's a different style for me - be honest, I can take it :o)  Hugs...D

ABC51 - "What's Old is New Again" - Use your oldest stamp set.

Hello friends - Happy Monday!!  This week at ABC Challenges #51 we would like to see you use your first (or one of your oldest) stamp sets to make a card. I had a lot of fun digging through my forgotten stamps while getting ready for this challenge.  Unfortunately, I recently went through a massive clean out of my craft stuff and sold lots of my old sets (bummer!) at a garage sale. But did keep a few of my favorites from long ago.   It was kind of hard for me to remember which ones were oldest, so I decided to use a stamp from a set that my sister bought for my birthday (many moons ago) when I was just getting started with stamping.   There are 4 sentiments in the set - this one is my favorite. Take a look please...
I think I'm going to have to use the other 3 sentiments now - just because :o). I also might be using some of the other forgotten stamps I found (it felt a bit like Christmas) soon.

Do you have a basket, or drawer, or closet etc. with some older or forgotten stamps that would love to see some ink and be used on a new and beautiful card?  I'll just bet you do!

The other ladies on our DT at ABC Challenges have also risen to the challenge and pulled out some old stamps to make some gorgeous cards for your inspiration. Won't you go visit and see what they've made?  I hope that you will decide to join us this week. Till next time... hugs and happy crafting friends! D

Are you Playing w/ ATSM #68?

Hello friends and folllowers - hope you are all doing well!  Today I'm sharing a second DT card I made for Addicted to Stamps and More! (ATS&M) Color Challenge #68.  This time I decided to make an easel card. It's kind of skinny and narrow (3" x 6") - a fun size to use.  I debated on the grassy strip because usually in Montana we have snow on Halloween - but it worked perfectly with the colors and image, so I went with it even though I was tempted to put a dash of white flocking on there to look like snow :o)

Have you joined us at ATS&M yet this week?  If not, I'd sure love to see your entries using this color combo.

I'm also entering my card in the following challenges:

Divas by Design - "Spooked" (anything Halloween)
Stampin' Royalty Challenge #199 (photo - see below) - I liked the pumpkins and the colors
and
City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #182 - Pumpkin Patch.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad that you did. Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

52CCT - Technique Challenge #22 - Fancy Fold

Hello dear friends and followers, so happy to have you join me today.  Here it is the last weekend of October and thus also my last challenge for the month as hostess of 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown (52CCT).  I've had such fun being the October DT hostess for 52CCT.  It's always a bit nerve-wracking I think to choose the challenges and then cross your fingers and hope that people like what you've put out there for them to try.  So... that being said, here's what I chose for the 52CCT - Technique Challenge #22
I have long admired the talents of so many crafters when it comes to cards with a fancy fold.  I decided to challenge not only you - but myself too, as I have only just started learning how to make different folds for my cards.  My DT card to share with you today is a new fold for me - take a look:
I'm so tickled with how it turned out. But...I must admit as I was making my cuts and trying to measure it out I did start to doubt myself and asked myself "what were you thinking when you picked this challenge?". LOL
Here's a side view to show the fold a bit more:
I'm honestly so happy I gave this a go and plan to make a couple more now that I know what I'm doing.  To see some more terrific fancy fold Christmas cards - please go visit the rest of the lovely ladies on the 52CCT DT.  I hope that you will decide to join us this week and I can't wait to see what you've made.

I'm also entering this card in the Merry Monday Challenge #80 which is to create a Christmas card that either uses music or is inspired by a Christmas carol.  Can you guess what my Carol is...really more of a song than a carol - but it was always my kids favorite...Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer :o)
Well... since I stayed up so late getting my card together, I guess I'd better get myself to bed now and get some beauty rest (a gal can never have too much of that as far as I'm concerned).  Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting! D

ATSM #68 - Color Challenge {Certainly Celery, Basic Black & More Mustard}

Hello dear friends and followers - so glad that you're here to visit me today!  Wow - what a great turn out we had last week for the Make Your Mark Challenge at ATS&M.  Choosing the winners is going to be difficult for our team (especially for me).

This week ATS&M Challenge #68 is a Color Combo Challenge (see above) which features some colors that are perfect for fall or halloween.  We haven't had as much success as we would like with the color challenges lately so after this one we have decided to try something new in place of it that we hope you'll enjoy more.

Our sponsor this week is NiceCrane Designs - who by the way is offering a fabulous prize to our Top Honor (check out the ATSM Challenge site here to get more details).

I've used one of the NiceCrane Designs digital images for my DT card.  Take a look if you please:

I opted for a very clean design so that the image really took front and center on the card, and added just the "teensiest" touches of color to the image using a blender pen and ink pads.  My designer paper is from a retired collection called Spice Cake (Stampin Up!) - loved that paper for its rich fall colors.  I have enough still to make a matching envelope too! I think this will make a great Thanksgiving card - or Thank You card. Haven't decided yet which - so I left the inside blank for now.

The other lovely ladies on the ATS&M design team have come up with some gorgeous inspiration for you as well.  Please go visit them and check out their lovely creations.  I hope you will decide to join us this week!

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

ABC50 - Recipe Challenge: 3 shapes, 2 patterned papers, 1 ribbon & Divas by Design -Autumn Colors

Hello friends and followers!  This week at ABC Challenges we have a recipe challenge for you to try.  ABC50 - Recipe Challenge is to to use the following: 3 shapes (circles, ovals, squares, stars, hearts, hexagons, etc.), 2 patterned papers and 1 ribbon.  Note: the shapes can all be the same - or 3 different ones.

My DT card above uses 3 ovals to make the pumpkin.  I decided to challenge myself and see if I could keep my card CAS (clean and simple) while still incorporating the entire recipe.  I think it turned out quite nicely (but am disappointed with the slightly blurry photo).

I'm writing this post up a little early and keeping it very short today as I have to get my house cleaned up and dinner made for 10 to celebrate my Mom's birthday.  Working overtime last week and then getting ready for a card class on Sunday, I have seriously neglected the house cleaning and laundry. Sigh... so guess I'd better get to the cookin', cleanin' and laundry (probably not a good idea to show up for work on Monday in sweats - though it sounds good to me right now :o)).

My lovely DT teamies have also made some beautiful cards using this Recipe challenge.  I sure hope you will go visit them and then decide to play along this week with ABC50 - Recipe.

I'm also entering my card in Divas By Design - Autumn Colors.

Til next time lovely friends...hugs and happy crafting!! D

Technique Tuesday - Faux Cloisonne Challenge

Hello friends - a quick post today to share a card I made using a new technique called Faux Cloisonne that I saw over at Technique Tuesday.  I watched the video on the challenge sight (which was nicely done), grabbed a couple of old magazine and a couple outline stamps and went to town with the faux cloisonne process.

I used pewter embossing powder to make my lovely flowers (thought I had grabbed to gold until I started heating it up). In real life the paper is really shiny and glossy - but couldn't get it to show up properly in the photo.  These stamps were pretty easy to fussy cut around and I had fun trying this new technique.  Gonna teach it to a group of ladies today - thanks Technique Tuesday for the great idea!

Gotta run - have an extremely busy day and am already behind what I should have done by now (story of my life lately!).  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad that you did.

Til next time friends....hugs and happy crafting! D

52CCT - Embellishment Challenge #22 - Bling!

A very happy hello to each of you this third week of October.  I'm having so much fun this month as the hostess for 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown (52CCT)!  This third week of October 52CCT Challenge #22 is a theme/recipe challenge.  I like things that sparkle and shine so I chose the theme of Bling it up!
I guess in a small way its also a recipe challenge as I would really love to see more than one "blingy" aspect on your Christmas card, for example glitter and rhinestones, or shimmery papers and pearls, or sequins, or multiple rhinestones, pearls etc. - the Blingier the Better!!  Here's what I came up with:

I don't usually add this much bling but I got started and it seemed I just kept adding until there was LOTS of bling.  Quite disappointed with the way this photo turned out :o(.  No matter how I turned it, or adjusted the lighting I couldn't seem to photograph it in a way that shows the pretty shine from all the rhinestones.  You almost need sunglasses in real life :o)  Oh well...you get the idea, right?

The other lovely ladies on the 52CCT DT have also made some gorgeous "Blingy" Christmas creations to share with you.  Just click here to go visit the challenge site and check it out.

I hope you will decide to join us this week!! Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting! D

OH SNAP!!! - ATSM Challenge #67 - Make Your Mark and MOJO Monday 315

Hello everyone.  My DT card today for Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge # 67 - Make Your Mark is made for my hairdresser who I stood up for the 3rd time in about 6 months - Oh Snap!! I had never missed an appointment with her for nearly 13 years until these last 6 months.  I feel awful :o(  Life has been so crazy busy/stressful for me lately that I literally don't know if I'm coming or going.  I'm so very embarrassed and hope she will accept my apology - and not transfer me to the "no immediately openings" list.

Here's my card:

I used stickers for the sentiment as I didn't have any little letter stamps to use.  The layout is from MOJO Monday 315 (see  below) - loved this sketch!

I hope you will decide to join us at ATS&M this week!  You can use markers, chalks, crayons, colored pencils or watercolors to color in your images - or directly on your card.  We have a wonderful and generous sponsor this week at ATS&M - NiceCrane Designs. To get more details on our sponsor, the prize and see the lovely creations from the rest of the fabulous ATS&M team just click  here.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad that you did! Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

ABC49 - Halloween

Hello dear friends and followers - happy Monday!! Getting very close to Halloween here in the states - there's a chill in the air and lots of trees shedding their leaves.  Seems in Montana that Halloween is often the first extremely cold night of the fall season and usually involves snow.  This means that you better plan ahead for a costume for the kids that fits over the winter coat - or be prepared for the battle about covering up the great disguise. Maybe I'm too much of an optimist that the weather would hold out (or a poor planner) but we usually ended up in the battle stage with our kids. My daughter and I were looking through some of her scrapbooks a couple night ago and came across a Halloween page from when she was 6 in her pink princess costume.  She said "Oh I remember that! I was so mad at you for making me wear my coat".  "I almost didn't get to go because I threw such a big fit huh?"   Oh yeah, I do remember that it was a whopper! :o) Fun memories..hehehehe.  Honestly I'm really quite glad that now we stay home and hand out candy and get to see all the fun costumes from the warmth of our house.

So....speaking of Halloween.... that is the theme this week for the ABC Challenges - ABC49 Halloween.  Here is my DT card using the sunburst technique again - take a look please:
Did you notice that funky bat in the upper corner?  I made this using a butterfly punch and a very small circle punch.  I colored my sentiment stamp first with an orange marker and then went over it again in places with a black marker. Really love the way it turned out. Hope that you like it too and will decide to join us this week at ABC Challenges for our Halloween theme.

The rest of the ABC Challenges DT members have made some beautiful cards to share with and inspire you as well.  Please go visit them here.

52CCT -Color Challenge #22 - No Red and No Green / MOJO Monday 314 Contest

Hello friends and followers - especially to my two newest friends, Deepti and Amanda! Time for another fun challenge this week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown (52CCT).  We LOVED seeing  your cards last week using my sketch!!  This week is a color challenge. As your challenge hostess again this week, I kind of switched it up a bit this time when picking colors for you - instead of telling you what colors to use, I'm telling you what colors not to use.  Take a look:

My favorite Christmas cards seem to be those that use non-traditional colors.  With that in mind I decided to let you decided what colors to use that don't include the traditional red and green.

Here's what I made to share with and inspire you:

I surprised myself by not using pink somewhere in my non-traditional color scheme.  This is some gorgeous new designer paper that I just got from Stampin' Up!  Seemed like the perfect thing to use for a non-traditional color scheme.  I added some brushed silver cardstock layers and used a gorgeous silver ribbon to pick up some of the subtle shimmer on the DSP.

My card design is based on the great sketch at MOJO Monday 314 Contest (see below).

Okay - so you've seen what I've done - now I can't wait to see what you make this week to share with us this week at 52CCT for Color Challenge #22.  I was thinking the other day how glad I am that I've been making at least one Christmas card a week as I'll have all my Christmas cards done by the end of next month and ready to send out. Yahoo!

The rest of my lovely DT cohorts at 52CCT have made some fabulous Christmas cards using non-traditional (aka No Red and No Green) colors this week.  I'll hope you will pop over to visit them and then decide to play along. Til next time...hugs and happy crafting!! D

ATS&M #66 - Anything Goes and Sweet Stampin - Autumn

Hello friends and followers - so happy that you've stopped by to visit me today - Thankful really!! A couple weeks ago I watched a video on the sunburst technique.  My first couple of attempts looked like a 5 year old did it - a tad heavy handed with the sponge dauber. After a few botches attempts I finally got the feel for it (it really wasn't as hard as I was making it) and the result is what you see above.

I made this card because I've been inspired many times by the beautiful sunsets that we see each night out our back patio door.  I also wanted to reflect on my favorite time of year - Fall/Autumn - and the fact that I have so very much to be thankful for.  The sentiment "thankful" is one of three new ones in a new thinlits set I got from Stampin Up! and it sums up perfectly how I feel.  I feel this way when I get up each day, when I get a big hug from my daughter (who is now taller than me), when my puppies are sitting on my lap while I watch tv, when I see a gorgeous sunset, when my pantry is full of food, when I make an especially good dinner for my family, when someone else makes me dinner, when I get a good night's rest, when I hear my son's voice on the phone, when I take a long hot bath, when I see the smiles on the faces of my friends, and when I get to craft and share that with each of you as part of my wonderful and extended support network of lovely people in my life.  The list could go on and on - but you get the idea :o)

I'm sharing this with you today for my DT card for Addicted to Stamps and More! (ATSM) - Challenge #66  "Anything Goes".   This is a very popular theme each month and we get so many wonderful entries.  The rest of the DT ladies have also made some amazing creations to inspire you.  I hope that you will pop on over and visit them and then decide to join us this week.

I'm also entering my card at Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Autumn is here!

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you take a minute or two to reflect on what makes you feel thankful. Til next time friends...hugs and happy crafting! D

ABC48 - Celebrating Kids and Divas by Design - CAS

Happy Monday friends and followers.  My how the weekends fly by!  This week at ABC Challenges we are celebrating kids by making a card for a kid (or with kids in mind).  I've been busy making several Halloween cards for my own kiddos, my nieces and nephew, and for some of my friends and co-workers little ones as well.  This one is for my sweet teen niece. She's still just enough of a kid to make a "cute" card for her.

I colored the image (witch and sentiment from Paper Smooches) with copic markers (G24 & R02, R22 -face & lips, E8 -hair, V04, V06 & V09 -clothing & hat, Y38 -buckle, C7 -hat band) and added some stickles for a bit sparkle.  Kept it CAS this week so I've decided to also play along with Divas by Design - CAS challenge.

The other lovely ladies on the DT for ABC Challenges have also made some great "Kid" cards to share with and inspire you. I hope you'll go visit them and then decide to play along with us this week.

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

RetroSketches #84 and The Paper Players #166 - Halloween

Hello again - a double post for me tonight. I can't remember the last time I did that!  I was completely inspired by the sketch this week at RetroSketches #84 - I actually even dreamed about it before I got up and made it (crazy right?).  Take a look at what I made:

And here is the sketch I used:

I saw this sketch and just knew that it would be perfect for using some of my Halloween washi tape. It would also be great for stamp borders, or those little strips of patterned paper (that are so hard to throw away).  I used my grid paper to help me keep my strips straight.  I put the orange and black ones down first and then added the word strip last.  Pretty easy and quick! The hardest part was deciding what to put on for stamps, elements or sentiments (so many ideas).  Since most of my halloween stamps are more along the lines of "cute" not spooky, I had to hunt a bit for what would work well with the slightly dark and spooky tape (skulls) - somehow cute didn't totally cut it.   So I grabbed my retired bat punch and came up with a good mix (I think) between cute and spooky.  Of course I had to add a little glitter - couldn't help myself :o).

I am also entering my card in The Paper Players Challenge #166 - Nance's Theme: Halloween.  It's been a while since I've made one of their challenges so I was glad to be able to pay along for a change.

So here it is the end of my weekend and time to get myself off to bed.  Have a very busy week coming up at work so I need my beauty rest and brain re-charge.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me - I'm sure glad that you did.  Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

FMS#106 and Mo's DP2 Challenge {H is for ...} - and Hello Sarah

Hello!  Took a little time this weekend to make some Halloween cards for my kids, nieces, nephews and a few other special friends. I'm entering this card in two terrific challenges:
Mo Manning's Digital Challenge - " H is for..." using a Mo's image
and
Freshly Made Sketches 106 (I flipped the sketch for my card and made it square):
This card is for my son who will be 20 next month.  I thought it was a great image for him as he often has his phone in his hand too. Not that long ago he said to me "Mom, I think your generation has a lot more friends and communicates better than ours."   I asked what he meant by that and he said "Well, think about it - you can't go anywhere and not run into someone you know.  You always stop and visit awhile before moving on."  He went on to say "my generation sees someone we know and we say 'hey' and just keep going.  Then we get out to the car or later at home send them a text to 'talk'."   Wow - what a revelation on his part really. I told him that it's a really wonderful treat to talk to your friends face-to-face :o).

I do appreciate the ability that technology has given us to communicate and connect with friends from all around the world, even those we haven't yet met.  But there is still something really wonderful about actually having a face-to-face conversation.  As an example, Sarah Stone and I met and communicated as design team members for 52CCT (and briefly for ABC Challenges).  When she heard that I was going to be in Wisconsin recently she offered to drive a bit to come and meet me.  I was so excited to meet her and her beautiful family - and incredibly touched that she would do that. I may have never met her if it hadn't been for our blogging and challenge activities. Here's a photo of the two of us (isn't she lovely?):
Thanks Sarah - you made a tough trip so much happier :o).  Hope we can meet again soon.

Well friends - time to close a rather lengthy post.  Thanks so much for coming but - I do appreciate it! Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

CCC49 - Use a Tag, Nacho Average Challenge #56 - Sketch, C4C206 - Halloween 4CCC#162 - Fall/Autumn

Hello friends and followers, so happy you've stopped in to visit me today.  A quick post to share a fun card I made for the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew #49 - Use a Tag (CCC49)
Nacho Average Challenges #56 - Sketch (see below)
Crazy 4 Challenges #206 (C4C206) - Halloween
4 Crafty Chicks #162 (4CCC) - Fall/Autumn

This card will be going to my son's girlfriend.  I hope she likes it :o)

I used a combo of old and new products on my card. Cardstock colors: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Rick Razzleberry (all SU!).  The coloring of the cute little witch was inspired by the colors in my DSP (SU!).  I used copic markers - kind of wish I hadn't made her face so dark - but it's still fun. The ribbon is also some left over from a couple Halloween's ago (SU).  The ticket punch and dies are from Stampin' Up! and the stamps are from Paper Smooches (a new recent purchase).

Lots to do this last day of the weekend, so off I go.  Thanks for letting me share with you :o)

52CCT - Sketch Challenge #22 {featuring Loll's Card Candy}

Hello dear friends and followers hope each of you are doing very well!  This month at 52CCT it's my turn to be the hostess - I'm so thrilled!  At 52CCT we start off the first week of each month with a sketch challenge.  Here's what I designed for you to try this week for our 52CCT Sketch Challenge #22:
I thought this would be a great way to display some of our patterned paper.  Please take a look at what I made to inspire you:
A while ago I was lucky enough to win some blog candy from Loll Thompson at Stamping with Loll (Loll's Card Candy - Give Away #6) that had some gorgeous poinsettias and branch sprigs.  So excited to be able to use them on my card this week - thanks again Loll!  Also playing with my new thinlits expressions die (Stampin Up!) - isn't it fabulous?

Overall very pleased with how this turned out - with the exception of one small boo-boo.  Can  you spot my boo-boo in this card?

I hope that you will decide to join us this week at give the sketch a go.  Remember that a sketch is just an aid to put a framework around your ideas.  You can switch up the shapes and orientation to fit your creativity.  As long as we can still see the main essence of the sketch we are happy :o)

The rest of my super talented and creative DT members over at 52CCT have made some gorgeous cards to share with and inspire you as well so please go visit them.

Less Is More -Week 139 Sketch #10 and JUGS #208 - Photo Inspiration

Hello friends and followers.  I was inspired by a couple different challenges over the weekend to create this card - take a look:
The sketch comes from Less Is More - Week 139 (see below) - which I modified to a standard A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2 ") card instead of the square shape (surprising for me as I LOVE square cards).

The image I used was inspired by this photo at the JUGS Challenge #208 (also below) - LOVE those pumpkins in the field.
A short post today just to share - gotta dash off to work for now.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today - I'm sure glad that you did! Til next time...hugs and happy crafting. D

ATS&M Challenge #65 - Photo Inspiration and Inspired By #90

Hello dear friends and followers - welcome to the month of October and a new month of challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More! (ATSM).  This first week of the month we are starting off with a photo inspiration challenge (see above).  You may take ANY or ALL of the elements in this photo to create something of your own. My inspiration was the gorgeous rust and yellow colors as well as the texture on the baskets.  Take a look at what I came up with:
What do you think?  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :o)  If you pop on over to the ATSM challenge site you will see that the DT have created with each of our own styles (and inspiration) in mind. How great for me to belong to such talented team of ladies with so many wonderful and different styles.  Oh and by the way... a little bit of news on our DT. We said a sad goodbye recently to Caz and Florence (LOVED both of their styles!) and recruited a couple more lovely ladies who are starting with us this week - Deepti Malik and Deborah Fringes.  I know you're going to love their style as much as I do.

I'd also like to mention that the ATSM Challenge sponsor this week is Ignacio from NiceCrane Designs.
For more information on the prize and our sponsor please click here and you will arrive at the Challenge site.

I'm also sharing my card over at Inspired By - Challenge #90 (see below).  I picked up on the colors of the buttons and the texture of the soxs.

Hope you will decide to play along with us this week!  We love seeing your entries and visiting your blogs.
Til next time... hugs and happy crafting! D
