Catch the Bug Challenges - Humor Me Wednesday {Bird Day}

Happy Hump Day friends!

Wednesdays are fun at Catch The Bug Challenges

because we do Humor Me Wednesday which features one

of the fun (and sometimes strange) holidays of each week.

This week I've chosen "Bird Day" as my holiday.

I'm not exactly sure what Bird Day is or how it gets celebrated

but I thought I'd have a little fun with it by making this card

The name of this image is...  I bet you can guess it..."Fried Chicken"

Hehehe doesn't this just make you giggle?

Gives a whole new meaning to a favorite dinner entree :o)

I found some paper in my stash that seemed perfect for this

(see, it's a good thing I hang on to lots of paper LOL)

and just let the image take center stage.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Clear it Out Challenges - Theme/Anything Goes and Stash/Anything Goes

Crafting from the Heart Challenge #58 Anything Goes

Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #143 Holiday

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge #371 Use a Sentiment

Please head on over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog

and see the other funny cards from my teammates!

There's some really great creations to see!

Thanks for stopping by to visit me today.

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Catch the Bug Challenges - Stella Says Sketch #309

Oh my goodness....I'm so embarrassed!

I'm wayyyyy late posting my Guest DT card for this week's

Stella Says Sketch Challenge #309

I just plain forgot. How bad is that??

I guess my only excuse is that I'm not used to posting

a card on Sunday since most of my DT posts are on Wednesday

and Saturday (except for New Releases).  Well....

that and I did just turn 50 so my memory just ain't what it used to be!

So... let's get to showing you the newest sketch

and my card using it with "Gus Fish Whisperer"

Ack.... don't you just LOVE Gus??!
He's so crabby and cute at the same time.
This particular image makes me think of my father-in-law Walter.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - #244 Crazy Egg Challenge "Anything Goes"
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenges - "Anything Goes"
The Outlawz - Twisted Thursday Challenge w/twist "Anything Goes"
Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog #142 - Make Your Mark

I hope that you will decide to play along this time
for Stella Says Sketch Challenge #309.   There are some
other really great cards by the bugaboo team that you
might like to see too.  Please go pop in there and say "hi".

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #278 - "Baby Shower" and My Time to Craft #290 - "Baby"

Hello sweet friends and happy weekend to you!

Today I have a DT card to share with you that I made

for Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #278  and

My Time to Craft Challenge #290

Both of these challenges have a theme of "BABY" this week

so it worked out perfectly to make one card for both challenges.

Did you see that Princess Kate had a baby girl!!!!
I'm so happy for them and was hoping it was a girl :o)

I LOVE to make baby cards but unfortunately not many of
my friends are in the new baby making phase of their lives
anymore.  I still enjoy making the cards though cause you
never know when a co worker might need one - or a friend
becomes a grandma. Here's my card :o)

This card is a CASE of a card from Delphine from Delphine's Place.
As soon as I saw it I knew I would be CASING it at some point.
Here's Delphine's card:

The main image is a stamp called "Diana" and that wonderful
sentiment is from a stamp set called "Words of Inspiration".
Both sets are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, where Kimmie has posted
a HUGE, awesome SALE for (Inter)National Scrapbook Day!
In fact....."Words of Inspiration" is in this sale.
Did I mention it's BIG?? But it's only for this weekend.
If you've joined our FB Friends page you're sure to see the sale when it's started!!

I'd like to share my card in the following challenges:
The Outlawz - Twisted Thursday w/twist of "Anything Goes"
Tip Top Tuesday - Duo Challenge (mom and baby)
Cute Card Thursday - Use a Sentiment

I hope that you will join us this week at BOTH
 Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #278  and
My Time to Craft Challenge #290
for our Baby/Baby Shower Themes.

Do you INSTAGRAM??  Be sure to follow @kraftinkimmie for even more chances to win goodies (shhhhh, but I think she's just posted a NEW giveaway, *wink, wink*)
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
Til next time...  hugs and happy kraftin'! D

for 75% off!!! This little cutie pie is one of those images.

Soooo glad I got her before she disappears!

I used some of my new Simple Stories Enchanted papers

Sketch Saturday #359 - A Day for Daisies {Dreams Do Come True}

Happy weekend friends.

My my my how time is just marching right along -

already the start of a new month - wow!

It's time for another great sketch challenge from

SKETCH SATURDAY

We have a wonderful sponsor this week -  A Day For Daisies.

The prize this week is a $12 A Day for Daisies gift certificate.

We were generously given a digital image from ADFD to use

this week with our sketch - check out what I did

using the beautiful image called "Dreams Do Come True"

Isn't she lovely.  It might be a bit hard to see but I added a bit

of glimmer on her shoe with my Wink of Stella pen.

I'm really tickled with how this turned out!

Did any of you see the new Cinderella movie?

I really liked it and wasn't sure that I would from the previews.

Always enjoy a good fairy tale :0).

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge - April 29th

Hello friends - hope you are all doing well!

Here it is the last Wednesday of April already.
It's also my amazing friend Cindi's birthday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY girlfriend!

And... it's time for another WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

challenge at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE!!

It's always "Anything Goes" on Wednesdays at KK.

Not too much to think about in terms of

a special theme, or type of project, or color scheme

or stamp to use - cause you can do anything your

little ol' heart desires (as long as it's in good taste)!

I have another card to show you using one of

my NEW favorite stamp sets called "A Bit Smart Assy"

Take a look:

Can't you just smell the chocolate cupcakes she is holding?

And seems like some pretty good advice to me...

why stress when you can eat a cupcake (good ol' comfort food)!

I also used another sentiment from this set on the inside

with another piece of good advice (in my opinion)

I definitely like to follow that as often as I can :o)

I'm entering the following challenges:

613 Avenue Create - Challenge #121 w/optional humorous sentiment

Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #142 "Make Your Mark"

Brown Sugar Challenges #143 - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!
But before I go...Did you see this great deal ?
Kimmie posted a "secret" extra 10% off code in the FB Friends Group!!
Use code SPRING2015 for 10% off your entire order, good through April 30!

I hope you will be joining us this week for Wonderful Wednesday.

Til next time...hugs and happy kraftin'! D

My Time to Craft #289 - Flowers

Happy Saturday peeps!!

There are leaves showing up on my trees, the days have been warmer

lately, the sun is shining and I am happy not to be at work :o)

Do you have any special plans for the weekend?

Saturday always brings the start of another great challenge

at MY TIME TO CRAFT!

This week our theme is FLOWERS.

What a perfect theme for this time of year as they

are just starting to decide to awaken and show their lovely

colorful faces after the long winter sleep.

I took a bit a different spin on the flower theme

- really a rather humorous one - take a look:

Image by Bugaboo digis "Stella Summer Blocks - Teenagers and Flowers"

LOL!! Doesn't Stella totally crack you up?

I fully imagine that my Mom thought this of me a time or

two when I was a teenager.  Fortunately for me, my own

daughter who just turned 15 is still so very sweet that I'm

just enjoying her grow and giving her lots of love (and

embarrassing her just a wee bit every now and then - hehe).

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Simon Says Wednesday Challenges - Clean and Simple

Ruby's Rainbow #102 - C.A.S.

The Corrosive Challenge Blog - Challenge #222 Floral Fantasy

Please go visit the rest of the lovely ladies from MTTC

and see what they have made for your inspiration as well.

Then I hope that you will decide to play along with our

Flowers theme this week!!

Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D
