Kraftin' Kimmie Saturday Challenge #287 - CAS

Happy 4th of July weekend krafty pals! 

We have another awesome challenge for you this week

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES

This week we'd like to see CAS projects.

For those of you who don't know what "CAS" is

it means Clean and Simple and in my mind it's one of 

the hardest syles to do - LOL!  

CAS has limited embellishments and layers,

uses lots of "open" or "white" space instead of

patterned papers or lots of busy-ness (is that a word?).

Seriously... I LOVE and admire CAS cards and they 

are quite the rage with crafters right now BUT they 

are harder than heck for me to do for some reason! 

However, because I do so admire this style I keep

pushing myself and occasionally giving it a go. 

Here's my Krafty Girl card for this challenge using 

a darling little stamp from the NEW June stamp set 

called "Believe in Fairytales" by artist Cheryl Grant. 

Be kind...I told you CAS is hard for me to do - LOL!

First I stamped the little froggie and then masked him so 

I could use a stencil for the heart background. I accidentally 

stamped him a bit high on the panel so I added some grass

for him to sit on.  Maybe it was a unconscientious mistake as it's 

so hard for me to not use patterned papers on my cards :o).

Anyway... still meets the requirements for CAS and I'm

pretty happy with it.  It's impossible not to make an adorable

card with this stamp set!!
