Hello friends! Once again I am participating in the tremendously fun ColourQ Challenge #130 (see below). I like this challenge because it really helps me stretch creatively with the colors that are selected each week. This week though I popped into the Retro Sketches Challenge just out of curiosity (its always mentioned on the side bar at ColourQ, and Arielle at Colour Q made a fab card using that sketch that intrigued me. So... long story short (or maybe its kind of medium - ha) I decided to combine these two challenges and enter this card for both.
Thank you to the design teams at the following challenges for the opportunity to enter this card: ColourQ Challenge #130 and Retrosketches #4.
Supplies (all are from Stampin Up!): Cardstock - Whisper White (textured and regular). Patterned paper from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (117155). Stamp - Gift Givers (from the Holiday Mini 2011 - retired). Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes set (115370) stamped with Certainly Celery classic ink. Bitty flowers punched with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309 (one of three in the set) with Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight cardstock. The leaves are snipped from the branch on the Bird Builder punch (117191) in Certainly Celery cardstock. I finished each of the flowers with a small rhinestone (two sizes) from the Basic Rhinestones set (119247). I used the Extra Large Oval Punch (119859) for the egg shape.
One last thing... I colored the egg image using my blender pens 102845) and some residual ink from the classic ink pads in the following colors: Daffodil Delight (119667), Melon Mambo (115656), Tempting Turqouise (100814) and Certainly Celery (105217). And oops.. I see I accidently rounded both corners on the card instead of just one as in the Retrosketch example.
