ColourQ Challenge #129 and Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #27(Seeing Spots). Isn't it cool how well these two challenges just seemed to be the perfect fit together (see the sketch and color swatch below)? Circles are my favorite shape of all so I was jazzed about Lesley's sketch and these blues with the purples - well I just have to say "Yum!" I made another version of it too but I liked this one best. I'll share that one with you tomorrow and you can see which one you like best.
On a side note - this card feels perfect to me today to share because I was so happy to see that I now have 6 followers!! I just think that is so awesome - it calls for cupcakes and confetti in my book. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you saw something that inspired you today. Hugs!
Here's my two sources of inspiration for this card:
And here are the Supplies I used to create them (all are from Stampin Up!): Cardstock - Whisper White, Pool Party (very similar to the Cool Caribbean), Tempting Turquoise, Wisteria Wonder and Rich Razzleberry. Stamp for sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set (117002 wood or 120501 clear). Ink color is Rich Razzleberry (115658). Cupcake is made from the very versatile Cupcake Builder Punch (121807). Circle punches used are the 1 3/4" circle (119850) and the 1 3/8" circle (119860). The texture on the Pool Party background was made using the Perfect Polka Dots texture folder 117335) and my Sizzix Big Shot machine (I used the reverse side after I texturized it). The sentiment is highlighted by using the Word Window punch (119857).
