Freshly Made Sketches #26 & ColourQ #128 Challenges

Hello again, so I'm getting ready for bed and suddenly the idea for this card hit me. I knew that I would not sleep (even if I wrote the idea down and put it beside my bed) - so I got myself back up to my craft room and put this together.  Yes... this is how it goes in my card making obsessed brain!  I will pay for this tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM at the Volleyball tournament though.  But hey, who needs sleep anyway - it's overrated isn't it (LOL)?  It's so much more fun to make cards.

I am entering this card in two challenges: Freshly Made Sketches #26 and Colour Q Challenge #128.  These ColourQ colors really had me thinking.  I love that about this challenge!  Thankfully I also have the opportunity to participate in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge because after all, a great sketch makes for a great card.  What a perfect pair for me tonight!

I was surprised to find that I still had the SU Glorious Green cardstock - but couldn't find Going Grey (which was one of my favorites) so I used Basic Grey instead.  The sentiment on the card is in Going Grey ink.   Perhaps you see something that inspires you too?  Check out these challenges (especially if you have trouble sleeping!) and play along too.  It's lot's of fun.  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies(all are from Stampin Up!):  Cardstock - Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Glorious Green, &Very Vanilla.  Patterned Paper - Twitterpated DSP, available until April 30th in the Occassions Mini (I snipped the border from one of the patterns). Sentiment - Hostess Afterthoughts (retired).   Four-leaf clover created with 8 hearts from the Heart to Heart punch (119881) & small heart by sentiment.  Stem for the clover is from the Bird Builder punch (117191).  Circle punch - 2 1/2" (120906).  Glimmer Brad - Subtles (121004). Texture folder - Perfect Polka Dots (117335).

  7. Thanks so much Suzanne, Tracey and Rita! I'm guessing there are lots of other stampers who can identify with that moment of (crazy) inspiration - ha ha. But its nice to hear that someone else gets it and that it was worth it :o). Happy that you all stopped by to leave me a note.
