PPA 130 Color Challenge w/a Twist

The Pals Paper Arts came up with a fun and interesting color challenge this time that I just had to try.  I needed a fresh idea for an Easter Card workshop that I have coming up this weekend so I decided to give it a whirl.  The PPA 130 Color Challenge with a Twist this time is Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade and another of your choice.  I chose Daffodil Delight because this color just seems to speak spring and rebirth to me.  I also got some inspiration from a great sketch (I modified it a little) from Freshly Made Sketches #24 for this card (I submitted a different card for that challenge but used the PPA color for it too).  I decided to use my textured cardstock to give the base just a touch of subtle texture and let the highlighted image take center stage.  I created my own patterned border by using a mini-border stamp from the He Is Risen set (Stampin UP!) and added a strip of Always Artichoke seam binding ribbon for another touch of texture.  I sure hope you enjoy this card and thanks for popping in to visit.  What do you think -do you like the yellow with these greens? Leave me a little note if you would like :o)

Details (all products from Stampin UP!):  Cardstock (base) Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke (textured layer) and Daffodil Delight (image), Stamp set - He is Risen, Ink - Always Artichoke (and a little touch of light from my white Watercolor pencil for a highlighted effect), Brad - In-color brads (2011-2013 collection), Ribbon - Always Artichoke seam binding,
