Paper Players #89 - Tickle Your Funny Bone

Hello friends. This week's theme challenge from the Paper Players hostess, Anne Marie, is "Tickle Your Funny Bone".  The challenge is to make a card centered around a humorous, funny..or even "punny" image.

Oh boy did this one have me thinking.  I just did not have any humorous stamps to use.  I was bummed and almost decided I was going to skip this week, but as I was digging through my stamp drawer I came across these darling Build-A-Bear image and saying sets.  "Oh Joy" - I thought - "I can still play"!! So this is what I came up with to enter in the Paper Players Challenge #89. This follows the "punny" part of the challenge rather than the humorous.  I stamped each letter across the banner by first coloring the letter with a Black Stampin Write Marker (a wee bit time consuming process - but worth it I think).  Please don't look too closely though... I was trying to move the bottom banner layer over a bit and ended up tearing the strip a little and that last flag (drat!) so I had to stick it back together.  From a distance it still looks good - just don't zoom in really close if you know what I mean :o).  You may not have even noticed it - but it really bugs me so I have to tattle on myself LOL.  The inside of the card says "HIP- HIP- HOORAY... It's Your Special Day!"   Anyway... off I go to bed so thanks for stopping by and visiting me.  Hope you enjoy today's card - come visit again, and I love to hear from you!

Supplies (all from Stampin' Up! except Copic markers):  Cardstock - Poppy Parade, Whisper White and Peach Parfait.  Patterned Paper - Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack in brights (117155) and Big Top Birthday (122348), I hand cut the banner strip off the larger sheet to put on this card.  Textured embossing folder - Houndstooth (123134).  Stamps - Bear Hugs (baby bear and hugs sentiment) #116966 and "Happy Bearthday" from Beary Nice Wishes (118050).   Brads from the Brights collection (119740).    Punches - 1 3/4" scallop circle (119854) and 1   3/8" circle (119860). I hand drew and cut the number 1. Image is colored with my Copics.
